The best young singer in the world. It may be argued that there are singers who are "technically" better, but no one has a better emotional connection and makes you feel the music like Angelina.

@@rickhilde8281 To me? Nobody off the top of my head. It seems a lot of people associate vocal range and power with great singing. Angelina certainly has those qualities as well but perhaps not as much as some singers. Of course she has many other technical singing skills to go along with her great feel. I mean I hear many people saying Dimash is the best singer on the planet, and while I appreciate the things he does, he doesn't move me like Angelina does.

Who is she? She is the best singer on the planet today, and quite possibly ever. Angelina won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8, and was 9 years old in this performance. She has over 130 covers and several original songs on YT. She is currently 15, and signed with Republic Records as their highest priority new artist last year.
I Put a Spell On You is an outlier performance for Angelina, and is not a style you will hear repeated in her other songs. May I suggest as an introduction to Angelina you go back to the beginning and listen to her NGT performances at ages 7/8, then jump to her Adele cover of All I Ask and her original 7th Heaven as a 14/15 year old. This will show you where she started and where she is now, and then you can enjoy the other 130+ masterpieces she has on YT.
Beware though, the rabbit hole is deep with this one, and if you dare to enter (you definitely should), you are not likely to emerge unchanged.

I just suscribed because of Angelina. She’s a music prodigy. Actually she’s 15 years old. When she covered that song she was 9.
She started singing with 18 months and has more than 130 covers from different artists and 4-5 original songs. She always performed barefoot. There’s a beautiful story behind this. She won Norways Got Talent when she was 8 years old and she went too to America’s Got Talent with 13 years.
Actually she’s an artist of the Republic Records Label and is 15.
I wait for your next reaction to her. You’ll see she is an amazing and breathtaking singer. For me is the best female vocalist of the century. She makes her own arrangements and lyrics and the musicians who play with her, call her “The Boss”.

She's 9 on this video and started to sing at the age of 18 months. They refused to participate on Norway got talent at the age of five claiming that she was to young. She won NGT at the age of 8. she was also on AGT: The champion at the age of 13 in 2019. Her performing barefoot is because of an event that happened when she was 6 years old while travelling in Asia, She noticed a shoeless girl her age that was weighting people with an old scale for money on the side of the road. She was an orphan girl. They talk for a while and Angelina gave her shoes. Since then she decide to perform barefoot has a way to raise awareness of kids poverty in the third world. There is more to this story. She actually wrote a book about this event when she was 9. She is the youngest published author in Norway.
I've heard she asked to participate ON NGT at 5. However they have a restricted age limit at anything under 7 yo

Indeed Angelina Jordan is a music prodigy but the only one I know of who specializes in vocals. Screamin Jay Hawkins (pictured on the candle) wrote and performed this song in 1956. As talented as Angelina is, she is an even better human being, humble and filled with empathy. Please take the time to read the biography I compiled for her.
Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman, who has chosen to keep his life private.
Angelina started singing around 18 months of age after listening to Whitney Houston on UA-cam. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was considered a prodigy as an artist and poet and married a Japanese man who passed away in 2019.
Angelina speaks Norwegian, Farci, English and Japanese.
Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where she received vocal training starting around age 4. Angelina plays the piano, violin, guitar and flute and also paints. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage.
At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true.
Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East.
Angelina asked her mother to enter her in Norway’s Got Talent (NGT) at age 5 but that talent show had a minimum age requirement of 7.
Angelina at age 6 and 7 did record a few songs in a recording studio, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old.
Angelina is blessed with a deep voice with a beautiful rich tone and has always made her sound much older than her age. Many compare her voice to that of Amy Winehouse. Her voice is highly emotional which is very rare for a young girl and some people can’t accept that such a soulful voice can come from someone who has not had enough life experience. One vocal coach on UA-cam recently said, “If you have a song and want to have more emotion added to that song, have Angelina sing it.”
At age 7, Angelina’s audition on NGT was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried.
The next performance on NGT was her cover of Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. Angelina’s acapella performance is astounding especially for a girl who had just turned 8.
In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them.
In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists.
Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on UA-cam went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old.
On June 27, 2018 Jordan performed “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London.
Angelina performed on America’s Got Talent The Champions which aired in January 2020. She earned the Golden Buzzer for her performance of her arrangement of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. She sang her cover of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road in the Finals but didn’t make it into the final 5 contestants. There is much debate over how and why Angelina was eliminated.
Angelina has covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, all of which are available on UA-cam. In August 2020, her manager and uncle Michael Astar announced Angelina has signed with Republic Records as their highest priority new artist. Angelina Jordan is a humble, compassionate young lady of very few words when she is not singing. You have fallen into the vortex of Angelina Jordan who arguably brings the most confident, versatile, seemingly effortless, and fearless vocal artistry found today (whether measured across artists, genres, or decades). You may think this an exaggeration but listen to a few more of her many performances (125+ covers plus original songs - all on YT) and you will see! She has been performing at a high level all over the world since age 8 when she won Norway's Got Talent singing Billie Holiday , Nancy Sinatra , and Gershwin. It is the rare singer that can, as Angelina has done, go from Queen to "Screamin" Jay Hawkins to Adele to Elvis to Whitney Houston to Etta James to Amy Winehouse (and many others in between) and do them all justice!
If you want to hear music, listen to anyone. If you want to feel music, listen to Angelina. She will stagger you with her ability to find and bring forth the 'essence', the emotional message of nearly any song. You have far to go with Angelina. She is equally comfortable and equally able to impact us whether singing a cappella, accompanied only by a piano or guitar, in front of professional studio musicians or a 40 piece military band. It is truly a conundrum when we try to rationalize how it is possible that this tiny sweet-faced 9yo Norwegian girl can step up to a microphone, flip some switch within her, become this "beast-mode" version of herself (most probably named "AJ don't play"), deliver an extraordinary and musically and socially sophisticated performance, then just-like-that return to the pensive young lady once again... There aren't words for this!
"I Put a Spell On You" has been covered many times and is recognized as a jazz classic, yet almost never is the tone of the original 1956 "Screamin" Jay Hawkins version captured. This is because Hawkins was the original shock rock guy (think Ozzy Osbourne type craziness) and his style is difficult to emulate and also because his dated delivery is uncomfortable and stereotypical to our modern sensibilities. Yet Angelina respectfully sings his own song in a manner that exceeds his (Hawkin's image is on the candle she holds at the start of her video). She starts low, rising in intensity throughout and finishes in an unexpected and practically operatic style. You must go and listen to Hawkins' original (and throw in a couple of "famous" covers as well) to see the true genius in how AJ incorporates many of his vocal elements [usually omitted by most singers]. This shows another aspect of her musical IQ and arranging genius (not to mention her masterful control of her vocal instrument equaled by few others regardless of age). Why is Angelina barefoot? When Angie was 6 and living in the middle east, she met an orphan girl, weighing people on the street for money, who was cold and barefoot with scarred feet. Angie gave the girl her favorite boots she was wearing. The girl promised to pray for Angelina to achieve her dreams. From that day on Angelina promised never to wear shoes while performing until all the children of the world had shoes, clothes and food. She has kept that promise for 9 years till today. When Angie was 9 she wrote a book about it called "Mellom to hjerter" ("Between Two Hearts") and became Norway’s youngest published author.

Alma Deutscher … composer, violin and piano prodigy, lovely sweet but seldom hear soprano voice, and now conducting her works. They say she is a year ahead of Mozart on each of his accomplishments.

She won Norways got talent when she was only 8 years old. Auditioned when she was 7 years old. And she was 9 years old when she sang this song. And she also arranged the whole song wich she does on mlst of her songs. In the beginning you can see she writes on some paper that her changing the notes and handing it to the musician..
She also did Americas got talent the champions when she was 13. And you habe to check out her version on bohemian rhapsody and yellow brick road.. Its absolutely mental how good this girl is. She has 2 channels, one cover channel and one where she does her own stuff. She has over a 100 cover songs and 5 original songs she has written herself but she got a few. BTW you should listen to more from AJ. She is the real deal a true artist. She has loads of covers an original on her sites, If you want to hear her range listen to "This is a man's world" live version. She was 12 then and it is simply astonishing. As far as I am concerned she is at the same level then Dimash or Hua. She is very strong technically but I think that she has better delivery talent. She never adds fireworks just to showoff her skills. She is always dedicated to the song that she performs and the message. Listen to her and discover her catalog you will be impress.

I'm always happy to see more and more people get to know Angelina Jordan and appreciate her talent. Not gonna lie, she's my all time favourite singer already, although she's just a teen. She's not your typical cool and sexy hip-hop type of girl, she doesn't rely on autotune, she simply relies on her raw vocals; vocals and a skill set that no one other possesses. I'm not talking about hitting the notes perfectly; others like Dimash can do that, or in fact any other opera singer can do that, however nobody can reproduce Angelina's tone, she's unique, she's a true artist. She's not about fame and money, but rather she touches people's hearts and she sings for a good cause, e.g. supporting children's charities (that's why she performs without shoes). If I talked about an adult here that wouldn't be special, but we're talking about a child that's on par with all the seasoned pro singers already! There were several occasions when she covered a song in one take and it was at least as good as the original if not better. By the time she reaches adulthood she'll have accomplished more than most other singers will ever accomplish in a lifetime.

Certainly not many adults know him, certainly the only girl in the world who knows him and who also thinks of singing him without any fear is she. This is Angelina, the incredible magical little girl. She is mostly self taught and self motivated, a true music prodigy. I remember when I first listened to her I thought this can’t be true she must be an alien her talent is literally overwhelming to the human senses that we just can’t believe what we’re hearing every time she sings. She could not sell that cover if she sang it in high notes. It’s an adult song. She wrote & arranged the music the way she wanted it done. She is nine years old in this now she’s 15 and she does fantastic covers and has 2 new song released just this year. She won Norway’s got talent at 7.
