We will physically install a RAID card into our R740, both a PCIe variant and Mini Mono style. After the installation, we will show you how to configure RAID levels. For demonstration purposes, we will be configuring RAID 5, but the same steps can be taken for different RAID levels.

You can use lsi controllers too, hba or raid

When you use mini mono, is it possible to put any risers on riser 1 slot?

There is a card which is 6 gbit but uses sff 8644 connectors and has 4 ports. Lsi 9206-16e but that gets really hot. We will email for advice

Sounds like something not compatible with the system you are installing into. What are you putting into?

@@cloudninjas No the card itself is a 6 gbit (2xSAS2308) but that has 4 sff 8644 ports to go in a low profile bracket (also only card with sas2308 and 4 ports).
