Haha awesome. Your excitement is totally relatable. Shoot, even a few years on after purchasing my current bike, the BMW F900r, I still catch myself watching YT vids of the bike just to see it in motion 😅 You’ll probably do the same and I couldn’t blame ya. Congrats on the purchase!! New bike day is always a good day ✌️
As a 2022 Supersport S owner, I agree 100% with everything here. I absolutely love the Supersport S. Perfect bike for the road imho, except for heavy commuting in slow traffic (that could get annoying after a while).
Absolutely love the looks and daily rideability of the Supersport family of bikes from Ducati. I really only have two issues with this bike and neither are dealbreakers to me: 1) I feel Ducati really should’ve included cruise control, especially as a bike advertised as a sports tourer or light tourer in the least with optional hard cases and touring screen available, and 2) I can’t imagine the number of times any owner of a Ducati, especially their sportbikes, get challenged at red lights by silly boy racers in their modded cars 😅 Shoot, I sold my Ninja a few years back for a naked bike and thought that tendency was a thing of the past, but nope, I still get those guys wanting to race me. Not as often as I did on the sportbike, but it does still happen often enough. Just bikelife I suppose lol
Agree with you on the cruise control -- they have it on the multi and desertx, same engine, so just a case of an extra few lines of code in the ECU and a button on the bar. A real shame they omitted it. BMW even have one on the S1000rr and Aprillia on the RS660.
Hi William :) Been so tempted to get her too but decided to get a s1000r with m-package and forged wheels instead. In that spec is just 2k€ more over here so 4 me more bang for bucks. But esp in that white the supersport is just gorgeous. Glad you enjoy her so much :)
Hey, thanks for the video. Its was good info. I too am gonna get one soon. I noticed you have a cool mobile mount and holder. Please share the details. I would like to buy one.
It has way more torque so from a stand still you will definitely feel more acceleration. With that said, the engine does run out of puff after 8-9K RPM so for top speed 600s may still have the upper hand. But all theory, never had a real test of top speed, hard to do something like that on public roads.
Of course not! It’s too heavy and a bit high on power. But it really depends on where you live, your license tier system, and your self control. Here in Japan in order to get a full motorcycle license, you need 13 hours of classroom courses, and 21 hours of 1-on-1 or 1-on-2 riding lessons. Then a written and a riding test, and the riding test is no where similar to a US MSA course, way more strict. Thanks to that a lot of Japanese riders start on litre bikes without problem, but again they ride very VERY politely here on average.
How can you state the things you dont like about a sport bike that you're riding like a moped??? Wtf are you doing on that? Where's your vespa at? You're talking about riding it around for commuting and how it's not good for commuting and saying you dislike heat. why you riding a supersport for commuting especially at slow speeds? That thing belongs on a track.
The supersport 950 was designed to be a road bike, not a track monster. Read Ducatis description of it on their website. It’s really not a supersport as much as it is a sports tourer.
Watching this as I get ready to pick up my brand new SuperSport S today in 5 hours!
Mate ENJOY!
And congrats of course💕

Writing super sport in stop and go traffic. Makes perfect sense.
So hows your supersport?
Thank you for this review! You have inspired me to get this bike! Love from a fellow Canadian.
Do enjoy!

It surely does! But great bike nevertheless, fun and comfortable.
These bikes are a work of art. I miss Japan watching you ride through the streets. You should ask the girls how they like
the bike.
For real most aren’t even interested lol

Well you can always ignore them😁

@@ssmith954 I think even if it was an option, it will sell
Hey man, this is awesome.
I'm looking at buying a Supersport S and this is making it easier to spend the money 😁
Glad you found it helpful!
I have a red one on the way. Very excite. That consist power curve was very attractive.
Congrats!

The S1000R is a great bike! Would definitely get one if I am looking for a fast naked bike. Do enjoy!

honest review!! thank you
No prob👍🏼
Just took delivery of a 2023 Supersport 950s - just in time to put it into winter storage. Going to be a long winter this year.
That’s some sad timing, but the next riding season will definitely be even more exciting!
@@WilliamInJP that's definitely an understatement 😁
Good review honest ride safe🇫🇮
thanks mate!
I have a multistrada as a practical sporty bike, but sometimes i feel like it's "too much" bike and i could have the slim supersport instead
Depends on how you want to use it really, if it wasn’t for the looks, a multistrada definitely fits me better
Wish it had the Tom Cruise Control. It is a looker and has the HP and Torque for sure.
Yeah it could easily had it.
I gotta ask, does it still misbehave in traffic if you change it to its 'urban" setting?
Mind if I ask by misbehaving what you are referring to?
@WilliamInJP being throttle sensitive etc as one of the things you didn't like
@@kiwibiker9754 got it, urban mode does help with throttle response, but it will numb the power a bit too much
Very Nice bike
Indeed!
what is the red coiled up wire hanging on the side fairing of your bike?
Just my charging usb wire. Pulled from under the seat.
How fast is the bike from a dead stop to top speed, say vs a CBR 600

Hi, what mobile phone support are you using?
It is a combination of these two parts:

Hey William, thanks for the prompt reply.
That is what this bike was made for...
would you say that the ducati is a good beginner bike?
Of course not! It’s too heavy and a bit high on power. But it really depends on where you live, your license tier system, and your self control. Buy a Kaoko throttle control for highway crusing, cruise control problem solved. 😎
True, that helps!
What screen do you have on the bike?
It’s from Powerbronze
isn't urban mode for traffic/stop&go?
Doesn’t really help for me at least, drop in power and less sharper throttle wont solve all problems.
@@WilliamInJP does it help with the heat though?
@@ronaldk.wileyjr.5476 No, that’s for sure.
lol @ Twisty Hunter!!
Ridiculous review.
