Awesome! Really impressive production with amazing pictures, nice music and an overall cosy feeling. I love it! Please continue your adventures and keep us updated. 😍
Thank you, this one didn't look as well maintained as the Kungsleden (and 'our' Skåneleden trails) but perhaps it was just a particularly wet time of year?
Hi Helen! Is "Skåneleden" a better trail would you say? If so; interesting, might have to visit one day! If you enjoyed the video please consider subscribing :)
@@JonathanLundmark The Skåneleden trails (certainly the SL3 where l have walked the full length) are better maintained pathways, it is rare to have a fallen tree blocking the way or muddy/marshy areas without a workaround. Of course there is mud! But rarely impassable. There are six Skåneleden trails of around 100km each and some of them meet up so you can extend your trip. Camping shelters at every end of stage and fairly regular bus-stops or towns nearby for resupply. Probably every 3 to 4 days.
@@JonathanLundmark No, I am not familiar with Siljansleden and I don´t plan to hike it. I live in Dalarna, though, and do a lot of photographing. I can see you put a lot of effort into making the film.
As someone who has hiked Siljansleden in it's entire length, this part was the boring one. I would recommend Furudal-Leksand but that is a longer (3-4 days) hike. However, you did a good job showing the trail and the nature. And yes, there are both bear and wolf territory around Orsa
The part I hiked is the official "Signature Trail" by STF. Thank you for your suggestion! How would you say Furudal to Leksand is different? Would be interesting to know if it's worth going back for :)
@@JonathanLundmark the nature differs a lot. I did it back in 2018 so they might have done forestry work on parts. More views over Siljan and the surrounding mountains. And not as wet and no forever straights XD. The one at Brunnvasselbodarna was something of the worst I ever walked
@@missjibbfully Interesting, thanks for sharing! Might go back at some point. The straight after Brunnvasselbodarna was indeed very long and a bit of the same.
Hi! Best Time: Many trails are not accessible by foot during winter and require using skis instead, but people do this. For most of the trails in the northern parts of Sweden the official hiking lodges start opening up in may/june and close end of september. Some of them are staffed during this time and you can sometimes buy food in them besides sleeping. If you bring your own tent however or course it does not matter :) From a hiking perspective I would personally say that late August is a great time to go as most landscapes are still green/lush but with with some areas having started to transition to fiery autumnal colors - basically getting 2 sessions in 1 and a bit less people on trails than in July which is regarded a peak season.
Expensive? : All trails are free to hike and there is a law in Sweden that ensures camping with own tent is also free. So with that said you only pay the price of travelling and gear/food which I tend to buy myself in advance. Other than that Sweden in general has fairly high prices compared to other countries but not as high as Switzerland Booking a cabin bunk on a trail is somewhere around 500 SEK (~50 EUR)
Tack!

Thank you! When do I say she instead of it?
your vids are great. keep posting.
Many thanks for the encouragement! 🙏

Fäbodarna var fina men som du säger en del tråkigare partier.
You guys should have more subscribers!
Thank you for saying so! 🤍
