First off love the shooting location (even though is just somewhere in your house, its very nice) 1) how is the Max chip in the small size does it get hot fast or just for heavier applications? And the battery life (compared to the other M chip MacBook you have, I don’t remember which one) 2) you should check out and review the rovyvon A8 amd A28 flashlights they are tiny giants 3) what other cameras do you use besides the A7 IV ?
@@Hi-how-are-you-today. hey i appreciate you watching the vid! The m3 max does completely fine in that smaller body, I really never hear the fans. I do wish the battery life were a bit better, like the m4 MacBook air but I'd rather have the extra power. Still lasts hours and hours and hours. I have the A7iv, A6600, Fx30 and A7c all from sony. I'm down to answer any other questions you have!
@ even with all the editing and stuff it doesn’t get hot or loud? Nice few cameras you got (so far ive got the a6700 and loving it both for photos and videos just when streaming and recording to the camera at the same time doesn’t work (heats up) but besides that even with 120fps doesn’t have a problem)
@@JonAdamsTech wow so if you’re not pushing the mac to the limit then you got the max chip over the pro for? (Longevity, two encoders instead of one? )
Nice video. Next time you're looking for a pen that's super satisfying to write with, check out the Schneider Slider Memo XB. It is the most comfortable pen I have ever had. It is so nice to write with that I find myself looking for excises to write stuff down (ie:"practicing" my signature).
Your videos are so damn good. Keep it up just a little more and you will blow up so hard fr Maby invest just a little more in keeping the audio quality the same. On your desk reviews you sound so much better.
Yeah on my desk reviews I use a much higher quality shotgun mic, for this I was lazy and used my rode video mic pro +, now that someone noticed I’ll probably never use it again haha
This video is exactly what I needed and I have so many questions for you, probably too many so get ready to be annoyed of me. So I recently got a hold of an Evergoods CPL 16 for edc, but have been looking at the GR1 21 Slick in that exact color as it was on sale the past few days (hopefully it goes back on sale later this month, but probably won't). The reason why I would return my CPL 16 is because the shoulder straps are not comfortable, while I've heard good things about the Goruck straps. That leads me to my first question: How does the GR1 Slick feel with your MacBook in the laptop compartment? I've heard it gets uncomfortable and like there's a board on your back. I've also heard a few people on Reddit having damaged their laptop by putting it in the laptop compartment and it squeezing so much the screen got damaged. Second question: What do you use your iPad mini for personally? And if you could only have one device to take with you everywhere, would it be your Kindle Paperwhite or your iPad mini? I need to get back to reading books as I have just been listening to audiobooks for the past several years, about to start Lord of the Rings soon after buying it last month as I've only seen the movies and love them. The iPad would be pretty sweet to keep my kids occupied watching Bluey if they start "timing out" from being out somewhere for too long. Third question: Have you thought about just using your iPhone to record your vids for UA-cam? I'm working on starting a UA-cam series (on a different account) and am torn if I should use my Sony a6400 I have laying around or my iPhone 15 Pro Max (for talking head vids in a small bedroom). It seems like it would be so easy to transfer the footage from my iPhone to my 14" M3 MacBook, but the image isn't as colorful. The last time I tried to transfer footage from my a6400 to Final Cut on my old 2016 MacBook, there were errors and I was never able to see the footage. It made me hate having to use SD cards. What do you think?
Hey I'm here for all the questions! The goruck feels fine with the laptop in the laptop compartment, all you have to do is loosen it a bit and you're good to go, I am more comfortable though putting my laptop inside in the plate compartment, I just find it sits better on the back. I use my ipad mini for preaching a lot, and for just general consumption like youtube, but if I had to decide between the two id pick the kindle since I find reading more enjoyable by a long shot than watching videos. I'd chose the a6400 all day, the sensor size on the iphone is just no comparrison to the a6400, so I always try to use the best camera that I have available at the time. Let me know if you have any other questions, I'm happy to answer!
From pastor to pastor, I gotta give you the props you deserve man! Pastoring + tech youtuber is asking for triple honor LOL Quick question: what would you advise for my tech EDC? I currently have a Desktop PC, macbook air m1, and ipad air 4th gen (kinda oldie). Thinking about trading in my MBA M1 + iPad air for a 13" ipad air and using it as my daily driver since I have the PC at home OR do I sell the PC and trade in the ipad air 4th gen and pick up a 13" ipad air (and keep the MBA M1)? iPad would be used for preaching and writing sermons. MBA or PC is for running Logos. would love to get your thoughts rev!
Always good to meet a fellow pastor on here! Yeah man I’d go with selling the M1 MBA and the iPad and getting the newer MacBook Air personally. I don’t mind printing out my sermons and preaching from paper so that’s what I’d do. Unfortunately with Logos you have to do the dumb workaround to export your sermon doc into word then print from word because anything printed from logos looks like garbage!
Is there anything you would add to this list of edc tech? Let me know!

I’d also add, maybe focusing your camera on the items when showing them. I feel like the products shouldn’t be blurry when you’re talking about them
What is the name of them camera pouches?
It’s the peak design extra small camera cube. Here’s the link. amzn.to/3D4QqIz
