@@bethfraser7803 I bought this from Don Quixote while in Japan a few years ago. It's a very classic style that they still sell when I was there a few weeks ago! @michelleailan22 no gatekeeping here! I found this bag brand while in Japan. A Shared Sense of Value (AS2OV) and I really like their stuff! Man this video is so genuine and refreshing. Not pushing any bs products that you dont seem to not use. Very practical. I like this vibe. Dont start making high tech videos with extra lighting or that other crap. Ty for this video. Subbed....ooo also have you tried the bigger lululemon hip pack? I think its 2L. Is that too big for waist carry?
Seeing this when I just woke up really made my day!! Thank you for the kind words 🫡 I have not tried the larger lululemon hip pack. it is marketed at 2L but honestly looks like it could be slightly larger. i think the boxy look might be a little ridiculous looking as a hip pack, but Fjallraven makes a few hip packs that are even more boxy so I'd say go for it if you like the vibe. You can rock any style if you're confident 😉

Really enjoyed the video, it was really helpful! However, I wanted to mention that instead of a tennis ball, you could get a massage ball. I have a couple from decathlon and they work great for my feet. I bring 1 every time I travel too!
@julianfun2087 you know, I’ve looked into them and at least from an outside perspective, i could never justify the price of massage balls. The ones i saw were like $20-50+. I suppose my tennis ball is the poor man’s version 😂 maybe I’ll check it out though because if it IS way better it might be worth it
I use a spikey ball as opposed to a tennis ball. I know .... they normally sell for 40 dollars on up..... However. ... Cracker barrel sells them as kids toys for 3.99 ! They light up, but who cares? Smaller than a tennis ball and the plastic spikes still do the trick. My friends laughed at me, but they swear by them as well.
My go to massage ball is from Rawlogy. I got the assorted size 3 pack and found that a slightly smaller ball works better for me. Bonus being smaller is it's easier to pack and lighter because it's made of cork. A 3 pack cost me around $12 (USD).
I think GAN chargers are great but can be pretty big and heavy. I also bring a second small brick charger if I need to charge up where a bigger charger won't work like on airplanes where the outlet is angled down. I tend bring a smaller battery that lasts me a day or two.
I agree about the weight. You can by baby ones with one fast port or two usb c ports and those are significantly smaller. Sort of a little longer than an iPhone charger
Regarding insoles, please reconsider all of that. It's not great for your feet to be supported all the time. The more you support them, the more support they'll need, as they're just weakened over time. Consider minimalist shoes instead, so that you *actually* use your feet properly when walking. Your body will thank you in the long run.
I wish I owned it. It’s a part of a kimono set that the hotel gives you. Most hotels in Japan will give you kimono clothes that you wear around the hotel for onsen but you cannot take it. You can find something similar if you go to one of the many tourist type markets or knockoffs on Amazon. I ended up picking up a pair from one of those shops. I wear it every night when I go to bed! Super comfy!!
@EmeraldsDailyCarry I'm going to have to try and find one... It's autumn, almost winter in the uK, getting cold.. cosy comfy lounge stuff is essential. 😁 Than you for the answer btw. ❤️👋🏻
@@mattiececile i have a couple, they're amazing. I hook a larger one too grab handles of backpacks and I can hang the bag anywhere. A smaller one goes elsewhere to hang a shopping bag or the dog leash etc. 👍🏻👍🏻
Oh yeah for sure. You will have to make some compromises. The heaviest things you travel with will be clothes and electronics (and toiletries if you have special routines). You will either need to do more laundry, bring less electronics, or get a lighter bag to help save weight. Try to wear your heaviest shoes and clothes on the flight. Layer up if you have to. Normally flights only check the weight prior to boarding so if you get hot, you can stuff your layers back in the bag after you board. My peak design 45L bag that I brought on a 3 week trip weighed 20lbs. 4 from the bag itself and another 4 for my laptop. So just changing the bag and bringing just my phone or an iPad would have put me under your weight limit of 7kg. I packed a week’s worth of clothes.
I use both! On this trip, I ended up taking the 45L as my carry on, and my partner used the 30L. There are a shocking amount of differences even between the two bags. I hope to do a review and comparison soon! Thanks for the sub 🎉
@@EmeraldsDailyCarry I just finessed on my flight rn used the 45L as a personal item. Considering selling and buying the Aer Travel Pack 3. We'll see after this trip!
@@buraison yeah the PD 45L is a bit insane as far as how massive it is. it did come in handy on the trip back. you can pack a ton of stuff in it. it also has more support which if find a little more comfortable to carry.
Hi, I am 173cm and 60kg, or 5'7" and 135lbs. I'm not sure which bag you are referring to since I think there are shots of me with the Peak Design Travel 45L and the AS2OV 22L bag. Any 35L+ bag looks crazy big on me. Even 26L bags. I have a very short torso and long legs so having tall bags just accentuates this problem. I have not found any 35-45L bag that I've tried uncomfortable because of my height. But it does look like I am carrying an extra human on my back so there's that.
I dont think water bottles are that useful in Japan, gotta save that thirst for all the cool drinks they have 😂 same with toiletries and the towels, japanese hotels are well stocked with stuff that’s probably better than what I use at home 😅 thats why we usually go to Japan to buy all this stuff to bring back home, doesnt make sense to bring stuff with us on the way there 🤣
Sorry, not sure what you mean? I normally bring a week’s worth of clothes so if it’s a multi-week trip, I’ll bring enough laundry detergent sheets to cover the in-between washes.
A video suggestion: Get rid of the animated intros for each item. They are a waste of the viewers' time. People just want to see the items. Just put an item counter overlayed while you are showing the item.

another alternative to the tennis ball is a cork message ball which is much more smaller and lighter and serve as an antibacterial material

Hero clip I believe you need to twist it so that the part that holding the weight is more at the apex of loop instead of being closer to opening

Air Asia has an extremely strict policy on weight - 7kg. Yes, they weigh before boarding. Is that realistically possible to travel that light?
