I’m a retired trucker and had perfect record.. those drivers who think they’re so damned good are the worst. Being extra cautious and careful is a must. Protecting the public from your mistakes is your first, second and third priorities. Being on time for pickup and delivery is your tenth and eleventh priorities.

Why would anyone be trying to drive in this . Does the dispatcher tell them to do this.

Gross incompetence by Fedeal Express (and other trucking companies) when they send dives out pulling double trailers on snow and ice covered roads. They have zero concern for other motorists on our roads.

Wow.😆 I guess their truck dispatches told them they HAD to go. I like my right to travel, but I also like not busting up the truck
and backing up traffic and I also like not waiting two years for a fix from a body shop.

Drove Michigan winters all my life and never had an accident and always made it to work 40 mi. away but it was mostly level roads. Driving on snow/ice with hills and curves is by far worse. Add the roads with drivers that seldom have those conditions and it's going to be big crashes. I see people following way too close and too fast. Slow down to save time, hassle and most important Lives.

Let the winter win, go slow or stay home.

I believe to have been involved in this crash possibly. It was many trucks and one almost ran my boyfriend and I over. We saw the truck coming at a very fast rate (and we stopped because of the trucks that already crashed) and so my family and I all ran out of the car and ran to safety. I ran and slipped and have a huge bruise on my knee because of it but it was definitely a scary experience overall. We were told no one died though and the crash was huge truck after truck with some cars

Just stay home and enjoy the snow, have fun with your children and the neighbors. Stay safe. I hope that all the 18 wheeler driver’s are safe. Safety comes first. Give the 18 wheeler’s the room they need.

It's because the box truck rear-ended the tractor-trailer, and he paid for it with his life

The weight of the load pushing against the tractor is enough to send it over the guard rail, bro. To answer your question about how you don't know how he got the momentum. Um?? Da!

This is just another reminder that all Americans should ask themselves, ...."Why is Tennessee even a State, and why we must make it a Territory like Puerto Rico."

Tennessee actually has lots of beauty if you look in the right places. The issue is they keep voting these crackpots into office, who'd rather push agendas that most people don't give a damn about, than actually fund what needs to be funded.
