- Early season an historic cold front produces snow across Colorado and Wyoming cars struggled on icy roads caused numerous accidents high winds blow power lines and an early wintery mess.
That 1st driver was awesome. He missed everything but the cop car.
Yes, that was stupendous!! I been driving cross country for 30 yrs with my semi and I have never witnessed such luck.
😅
That looks fake tbh
he didnt even hit the cop car, just got really close
All that first driver’ll need is a touch up on that back right panel and a new front seat, could’ve been way worse!!
damn, now that was a wild ride in the beginning with that Mercedes.
Bro the luckiest person on the fu hole world.
It's not real
@@worldtanks8299 i thought it was fake too
Everyone needs to go and do donuts and some snow drifting. It seriously helps train you to maneuver yourself if you ever get into a skid situation.
I agree, I've been drifting for 4 years now and on life or death situations my drifting skills have prevented me from crashing plenty times before

Just find a big old parking lot , early in the morning and practice ...Hello from Canada .
@@johnziegelbauer4999 I've seen guys doing that, sometimes slammed into the one light post in the lot! LOL!
100% agree. You learn how the vehicle reacts in various situations in the real world. What you learn from here helps you make subtle adjustments to your driving, esp in adverse events, that help you out.
I'm from Colorado, moved to SC two years ago. While I miss watching the snow coming down (from inside my house), I definitely do NOT miss driving in it!
no problem with studdet tires, winter driving is nice, cheers from Norway
@@philip4588 Studs tear up the roads here.
@@rickj1983 Not the modern nordic studs
@@philip4588 That is cool, where is a source though?
@Jurgen Gjoka ayyyy same!
The sign: "summer drinks are back"
The weather: Uhhh....you sure about that?
I saw that!!!
Let's see...original tires that came on the car when purchased six years ago. Priceless.
TOW GUY: Tires are a little bald there.
CLUELESS: the man said they were 30,000 mile all seasons i only have 25,000 miles on them..
Well I passed Finnish icy road test with a car that had 5-6 year old cheap tires. Barely, but still. You could drive faster than what the guy did in the first clip if you know what to do.
..won't recommend that, but still
I visited Tahoe in January and had absolutely no issues in AWD vehicle, but these videos should be prove for all of us to never get comfortable
@rocky mountain lass actually I was stuck with whatever Tires rental had on, but I was paranoid and got the cables in a Walmart just in case, I never experienced any sliding all the way to Olympic Valley, so I went on some side roads with steep climbs just to test where the limit is
"Oh! LOOK! There's a blizzard outside!"
*"LET'S GO SHOPPING!!"*
SUMMER DRINKS ARE BACK!!!
that mercedes driver in the first clip...bomb ass driver - with a cop in the mix!! impressed
Luck
More luck than skill
Luck and stupidity. He was obviously going way too fast to begin with
In the first clip, how did the Mercedes not hit anything 😭😭😭
Quantum physics bans this.
Why did you put sad emotes?
@@thepiterp5 Anyone under 25 yrs old takes them as laughing really hard. Same with these 💀💀
Clean living and wishful thinking. Plus the Rabbit s Foot in the car.
Luckier then lobster in kitchen on titanic
Hello
WXChasing, is it ok to feature your clip in a my chanel for educational purposes?
It will be credited in the description & comments section with your name. Thanks!
Hi Sergey, thank you for asking. Unfortunately they are only available for licensing. Thanks!
That first slide was beautiful... Just needed some classical music to guide the wonderful movements just before it kissed the cop so lightly... loved it...
Yes he did an awesome job!!
Bet that was a fun ride for the Benz driver lol
I have been in this circumstance before. I learned three lessons: 1 drive slow. 2. have good snow tires. 3. put like 3-4 sand bags in back of small pickup truck for weight.
They are called winter tires for a reason. All season tires will not perform properly during a full blown winter.
I have a million miles commercially transporting. I’ve done many
Of i80 runs from Indiana to Utah on a sheet of ice. One thing I can tell you. Never get cocky or over confident The road don’t care how many miles you have. What kinda car you have etc. respect the road and drive according to the conditions. My best advice is not to drive when it’s snowing or icy.
I was wondering seeing this video: do you use (in usa, i mean) salt on the road when temperatures goes below freezing point? Here in italy its pretty standard, but i was curious about USA
@@mattiaandrini9969 it's standard in Michigan.
Lets keep driving the same speed in the snow! 🤪
Nice weather coverage!
2 cm of snow is... ridiculously little. Maybe they should have winter tyres?
Ok but the Mercedes driver did pretty well, he didn’t hit anyone I think 😅
Nope, missed everything somehow 👍
When they showed the wind in Laramie WY. I was thinking, nice. For once it's not blowing as hard as it normally does.
Living in Colorado for over 20 years it's always the same thing every snow season people think because they got AWD or 4wd, the can drive 80 to 100 mph per hour on icy roads, most of them are transplants or just ignorant natives that ending up spinning out and hit stuff.
Same here in Edmonton, Canada. First snowfall this year and we had something like 200+ reported car accidents in the city alone. Dumbasses with bald all seasons or off-road mud tires on their rig rockets.
BUt i hAvE 4WD bRo!
I have yet to see someone going that fast but I've definitely 70 ish
In Deutschland fahren wir auf Salz anstatt Eis :D
This was Labor Day weekend - no one was prepared for this - our town only had 1 snowplow driver available to work and no one had changed out to winter tires yet...
ABS: “I got this”. Yaw>15 degrees: “Ok you got it now”
Those early and late storms are the worst. Not only are they slick as snot, but most folks either don't have their snow tires on yet, or have taken them off. When it's only September, or you've had weeks of 50 and 60 degree days in April or May, then wham! Often it starts out as rain, which then freezes to solid ice, then it snows on top of it. Then, two days later it's sunny, dry and 60 degrees!
Hello from the heart of Dixie
I’m from Colorado! We’re used to snow! I can drive in this stuff! “Jesus take the wheel.”
Good video. ♡ T.E.N.
The summer drinks are back sign made me bust out laughing hahahaha.... Idk why LOL.
xD
#1! Well done!
"Summer drinks are back."
I love these kinds of road conditions. This situation separates good drivers from bad ones. If you have been out in such conditions and you wrecked, congratulations you are a poor driver and your license should reflect your inability to drive in such conditions. Too many people get out and endanger others and should be restricted from driving.
Ya but everyone's insurance rates go up
What happens if one of those bad drivers hits you
@@fate7623 EXACTLY my thought, arrogance just shows ignorance.
It also separates good tires from bad tires (for the conditions). If someone still has a performance summer tire on (or a balding all season) no amount of skill can magically create grip where there is none.
It's sad. I was a semi driver for 26 years. Between the lack of knowledge driving in the snow, phones ,and most truck drivers not using a c.b. ,and also the really bad cars being sold here today I'm glad I retired.
You hit the nail on the head lack of active driving and even good tires. Too many times I see big trucks and SUVS sliding around or stuck. Driving a manual is also a great advantage in this weather. People have this idea the car does the work. No amount of tech will amount to the skill of driving itself.
wow!
You're telling me that there was snow in Colorado on September. I want to move there now
i was in colorado 2 weeks ago and it was snowing like this
Snows Sept to late June in the high country. It can snow during the off months. I'm going to try to film the late and early snow more. In Leadville we had almost 9 inches from this storm. It was crazy because it was unseasonably warm right before it. The temperature dropped a lot. I made a video about this snow. It was really early. I have been snowboarding on a pass late in September years ago.
It’s can snow in April there too
Lived up on western slope for almost 4 yrs, only had rear wheel drive chevy pickup no problems, loaded bunch of river rock in back and went everywhere, same when lived in Wyo.
So if nothing else then put the chains on all four wheels. Or in extreme
conditions when the chains do not help, then tires with steel spikes .
Snow Day☝️
Stay home🤠
As an Aussie i find this intriguing as in Perth we don't get any snow at all !
I'm from denver and it's hardly snowed at all this year 😭
@@arandomguy8619 that’s strange for Colorado
My question is why don’t some of these people have their headlights on while they are driving?
I love the “summer drinks are back” sign.
It must have been a nightmare stuck in that traffic...
The Benz driver was on point
The whole idea is to drive 10 mph faster than conditions allow. Famous last words: I can handle it.
One thing I noticed from all these videos: WHERE ARE THEIR CHAINS AT? Also why are they driving so fast in some cases?!
Does any state have a winter tire law or everyone is running 4 seasons can someone tell me thank you
Just another day if you live in Chicago.
😭😭😭
wow. there were semi trucks going slow not 75mph as they usually go in these conditions
amazing.
I’m from Puerto Rico move to Austin and I hate the cold weather.
Wyoming has unique weather stormy very slippery mostly Laraimi and another part on I-80 not because its cold because of warm air that makes ice slippery. Speed or no speed your toast.
We all love snow! 👍👍👍👍😬
Thanks God we don't have snow in Madeira! God Bless you all
Fun fact: you didn't search for this video you just clicked on it!
Do you have winter tyres in usa?
I thought everyone up there switched to snow tires in winter...not true?
Great weather snow and everthing glad I live not there
this is why i live in south east texas we get snow maybe once ever 4 or 5 years and its never this bad.
First car sliding. Don't hit the police car don't hit the police car
If you hit you will get one star.
do cars still slide even with winter tires?
For sure but way less.. your traction limit is increased not just tractive effort which AWD can give but overall grip levels.. if winter tires start to slide way more grual and linear plus the recovery time is less compared to all season which are more touchy and snaps out more violently then if you're trying to correct it you have to wait on it and it may or may not recover spinning out
game name?
Neither rain , nor sleet , nor snow , nor ice shall deter a driver from doing the minimum of 10 mph over the limit !
Yes, 1-st driver very lucky.
Oh boy. Come spend a winter in Maine. But slow down!!!!!
A couple of things occur to me watching this , obviously a lot of these people are not properly prepared to drive in icy conditions , the other thing is a lot of people do not allow themselves nearly enough space to the vehicle in front.
The first driver sign up to be a pro drifter
W Koloradzie i Łajomingu, zawsze tak startuje zima. I wciąsz zaskakóje drogofcuw. Jak u nas.
All season tires guys, and quit hitting your breaks, slow down.
All seasons suck get dedicated snow tires
@@LIFEOFSTUFFEDANIMALS I use all season every year in Colorado I love them.
In September!?
Yes, it happens. A rare freak storm that catches everyone off guard. Doesn't happen on a regular basis. I've seen it snow in the high country (above 10K feet) in August.
Porque não usam CORRENTES nos pneus??
Tow trucks during winter: Its free real estate

Why people use their breaks in a icy road?
That first clip though
Thank God I live in Florida
So, this was allegedly summertime?
September 9th, so yes.
Been there, Done that and it's fun slippin and ah slidin
yo that first one. dammmmmmmmmmmmmm
Can you imagine if these were all electric cars and trucks.???
Yeah, and they were all stuck in traffic trying to keep warm while the battery was discharging. No one's thought of that happening.........yet.
SLOWWWWWWWW DOWN!
Doesn't make a difference if the tires are summer and are low on tread. They're as good as bald.
Catene e pneumatici invernali non esistono in America?
I like how that first car did a inverted P.I.T. maneuver to stop that cop!!!!😎
That was a textbook stop!!!!!!
Little bit of poo on the seat.
They never hit the cop

I’m going to Walmart in a blizzard to get me some summer drinks!
Life is very dificlte here !!! 😭😭😭
Bro that f150 isn’t even in 4 wheel drive...
True😂😂
Who the hell is going to Walmart in that shit?? Anyone notice the “Summer drinks are back!!!” sign? Alright! It’s up to 3 degrees above 0. Bust out the margaritas!
First black suv, Jeremy Clarkson.... "lots of poos came shooting out!" 😂😂😂
Me not going to Colorado this winter
Don't you have winter tires there? Two centimeters of snow and everything stops. Ridiculous.
1 centimeter in Vancouver BC. Vancouver's drivers are the worst. Doesn't matter if its snowing, sun, rain, fog, hail...they will crash.
Not for me!!!
Try and get Crampons onto your boots/shoes- they will let you walk on the ice,and get about safely.- essential pieces of kit for this type of weather.
'
all vehicles musts puts 4 chaintires om the 4 or 6 or 8 tires while icey = snowy
**very teenagery fwd snow drifts**
Wait was that a Colorado State trooper
Either CO or WY. I couldn't tell.
Winter begins .
in norway it get snowy roads each year, but we all know the season and use good vinter tires. is that not used in USA?. The amount of snow in the video like nothing compared to what conditions i drive in each vinter yet there is full caos . yeah most of us are skilled ice drivers in Norway but are American drivers really that bad? whats going on
Тhe last video I was waiting for when the wires are short circuit to see the firework.
😮😮😱😱😮😮😮👍
It’s the wind that’s the killer.
I was dog sledding in Leadville
