A major winter storm produced significant heavy snow and high wind in Bismarck, North Dakota on November 29th, 2016, resulting in auto accidents and hazardous travel.
A storm like that,here in the North East (CT) would be considered a "Nor Easter"..I drove a Big Rig for nearly 32 years and have been in plenty of situations like this. I'm SO GLAD I got off the road a few years ago..now I just look out my front window and say to my parrot's..."So nice to be home and inside with you guys" lol.
Aww yes the blizzard that rolled in on my 33rd birthday and still couldn't keep me from closing the bar
Reminds of when I lived in Aberta , moved to Vancouver Island , now its just a bad memory

It snowed last night here Dec 8 2016 very little. Just enuf 2 gum up the works.I got hot grub stove is a growlin' and I'm fat and sassy.

normally highways like this with white out and poor conditions are shut down by the state.
Well the Midwest has not figured that out yet nor has the upper section !!!
if they wanna go out and travel in the cold and snow and poor conditions that their problem they need to remember if they get stuck, stranded u name it they will have to pay for a rescue..
It will close intermittently, these conditions can last and often they do. Can’t shut down a highway for too long, our stores empty out and our schools run out of food. Not horrible though as things are never allowed to escalate too far.
Travel is inconvenient but most of these conditions are doable.
Thats North Dakota for ya, they call it a blizzard, here in South Dakota we call that a lite breeze lol

Must be depressing to live in NT during winter. hard to do anything really. my brother live there for less then 4 years and got to the braking point with the winter and summer mosquito bite everywhere yak lol.
