    Fun fact: George Lynch's original Tigerstripe guitar was made by himself, with parts he bought from the Charvel shop, when they were still selling replacement parts for Fenders.
    When he later got the ESP endorsement, btw. ESP also started as a repair/peplacement parts company, he just slapped an ESP logo on it.

    Greaf demo. I am debating buying this one or the snake sabo baretta. I thought I wouldn't love kramers because all the nonsense about a spec list of what a shred guitar should be like, but I have not put my kramer baretta down since I got it last year. It feels like home. The body is comfy, It is extremely versatile and plays like a dream. The fact that it looks cool as heck is always a plus. I am a big Dokken and George Lynch fan so this tiger stripe pacer is defo tempting.

I've got mine ordered and will be here tomorrow, it's the last one showing on Andertons website, I have to say the first thing I do with any guitar I've owned in the past with JB's is swap them out as they just appear too harsh, thin and shrill to my ears. I'm hoping to get some nice blues tones from the Pacer, but I also will cut the tremble bleeds as I'm sure the SD set won't need them. Thanks again for the vid 👍 NEW GUITAR 🎸 DAY TODAY !! 😁 🤘🤘.

      I sadly don’t have the guitar anymore, only as borrowing it. But usually the treble bleed is just a capacitor of some kind wired to the volume pot and should be easily removable with a good soldering iron.

    Hello, I got a Kramer Pacer Vintage pearl white from Guitar Center. It is used but it was in excellent condition (on website). Mine does not have push pull knobs? I tried to pull and it seems it does not have that feature. I am a new player. Is mu guitar fake? How can I know? Also Floyd Rose seems only one way ( I am not sure if it’s the correct terminology). I can only push tremolo bar but nothing happens when I pull it.

    • @SeanPierceJohnson
      @SeanPierceJohnson  2 роки тому

      Hey buddy! Let me see if I can help you out:
      - so there’s a chance that since you bought a used model that the previous owner could have removed the push/pull pots and replaced them with normal ones. Just remember that used gear may cosmetically look good but is not always going to be stock. Doesn’t mean your guitar is fake. If you want to go the extra mile and verify, you can always contact Kramer and ask them to verify the serial number.
      - one the particular model, and many others (including other Kramers, EVH) the Floyd Rose is only a dive and is blocked from pull strings sharp when you pull up. This is a pretty old school Floyd set up.
      You’ve got a great guitar on your hands and you should enjoy it! Have fun and let me know how it turns out

    That other guitar player you mentioned or rather did not want to mention has played everything from Kramer ,aria pro,to charvel to ESP, now he makes his own guitars. It's pretty SCARRY LOL the amount of gear this guy has used.
    One thing about disclaimer I would like to verify I've posted this on two other sites so you're the third reviewer that it said it has a 14 radius fingerboard the specs on the sites that I looked and buying this from said it was a 12 radius, and the only reason I remember that for a fact is if you take a fluid and there's no shims in it you end up with a 12 radius whereas it's a 10 with the shims in it and I just thought it would line up perfectly so I'm just curious like I said obvious three people now I just want to make sure. I'll also most likely contact the companies just to verify that. By the way I don't know what you were playing through but it sounded great so many guys that I've seen reviews on this guitar for had the gain turned up on 200 and it sounded horrible it definitely wasn't an '80s too and that's for sure.

  • @spaceavenger54
    @spaceavenger54 Рік тому +1

    So I picked one of these up, this is sort of a rant because I expected a little bit more for the price this was which was not a bad price and overall this could be a great guitar but when I received it the setup was so bad that it was unplayable it buzzed everywhere.
    The electronics in it where the word I can only come up with now is disgusting it hummed and it popped and it cracked if I touched the rear control cavity without even opening it up it would sort out upon opening up I can see all this cheap wiring and connections that were just ready to fall apart as a matter of fact, one of the grounds did just fall off for me just moving the wires around so I had to rewire the whole freaking thing myself.
    Next my complaints are due mainly due to the fact that I'm not used to playing one of these guitars it's definitely made for shredding and not for playing complicated jazz chords etc even though it does have a clean neck pickup which I don't like the sound of that and I don't like the sound of the JB it's too bright with all the maple.
    But this neck has taller frets and it's not as wide as the guitars I'm used to playing with are Jackson's so, I'm having a bit of a learning curve playing is having to learn how to rephrase it and have a lighter touch the nines that came on it and they were nines they definitely weren't tens but they were a lot thinner than the nines that I usually use and have been using for the last 25 years with are Da Dario XL 120s. I've had to make three truss rod adjustments and fully action it was almost a week now just to get this guitar set up to where I can play it. The push-pull pots and the parallel wiring are a nice feature but I didn't find that the parallel wiring did much but lower the volume so I rewired the neck pickup then the problem became that it was way too bright.
    As I said a lot of this has to do with the fact that I'm not used to playing a 21 fret guitar with this scale and taller frets The Jacksons have much wider flatter frets on them that's not a complaint it's just that that's what I'm used to so I'm going to have to get used to this but there are a lot of great things about this guitar the paint on it is flawless it just has the awesome wow feature to it when you look at it and the neck is comfortable play other than a taller frets and me having to reposition my hand at the refret and relearn and not strong so hard I'm very heavy-handed I don't know if putting tens on this would help it or if it would be too much for me but I'm not really wanting to change it to tens and then having to readjust everything and screw with intonation and I've only had this guitar for a week. I'm currently trying to talk with demarzio to see what type of pickup would you go best in this body, they don't even listen to me for as a body would with her pickup selector so I really need something that's going to give me the crunch and the soaring leads that I need but also tame the highs especially for the cleaning stuff. Another thing and I'm not sure and my ears aren't the greatest anymore but I'm not sure if I'm misinterpreting the fret buzz for extra high end. I would have never bought this guitar out of the store like that I would have had it fixed first or bought another the place I bought it from has a terrible return policy they want me to send this one back and be without a guitar for 2 or 3 days which is just ridiculous since it had so many problems on the first day including the electronics shorting out and cracking and popping which they heard over the phone about the buzzing they told me that I should have to have a setup anyway but I shouldn't have to have a setup on day one of a new guitar I just think that's a bit ridiculous.
    I also want to point out that this is the first guitar I've had since I was about 15 that has a top amount of fluid on it so I'm used to whacking on that bar and getting the flutter out of it doing the Brad gillis technique you cannot do that with this guitar it bangs and slams into the body also the Floyd 1000 is supposed to be the equivalent of an original floor just made somewhere else however I can see that it's copper or the zinc Floyd I wanted to change it with a new fluid bar which is has no play to it but because of the nut on the bottom side of that base plate it won't clear the body the route is too close.

  • @DJ7tringGuitar
    @DJ7tringGuitar 3 роки тому +3

    Personally I'd end up replacing the electronics and upgrading the hardware:
    Duncan's Triple Shot pickup rings, replace one of the volumes with a non-latching kill switch, and a push/pull tone pot bypass.
    Locking tuners, tone vise locking nut, string saver saddles, hollow point intonation system, noiseless springs, brass claw, and a stonetone block.
