- It has been a few weeks since I shared an Aldi haul, but I decided to bring it back because there were several great NEW items down the Aisle of Shame that I really wanted to share with you, in additional to all the great food items I picked up too!

Glad ALDI is back in the rotation!
Those cooling towels are soooooo good and helpful.
Wash, trim, drain, wrap/cover in paper towels, put into plastic bag, twist and eliminate all air for iceberg. Mine literally lasts for many weeks! Have a blast in New York!
Thank you! Great tip!
When I say plastic bag, it is the one from the grocery store that you can twist the opening closed.
Thank you for this aldi haul! You always do such a great job!
Have a great time on vacay!!🎉 love the laundry basket & the mini laptop desk-riser thingy.😅
Thank you for another great haul! I'll be at Aldi in the next couple if days, and now I know what to get!!
Yay!
I hope you do an aldi taste test soon. They are so fun!
I do not have a trader joe's near me.
Thank you so much for another Aldi haul! I love your input as always and the fact that you show the nutritional facts when applicable.
Have you tried their coleslaw? It’s so good, flexible for a wide range of dishes, and lasts for a long time. Just like the lettuce!
I have not. Thank you for the heads up on it though.
I got cheddar parmesan! Yum.
The asparagus looks gorgeous. I hope my Aldi's has it on Saturday. Definitely going to pick up the riser and cooling towels. Thanks for sharing your haul.
Omg 😳 I loooove pickles!!!
Looking forward to getting the computer riser & cooler packs!
That’s asparagus looks so good. One of my favorite veggies in the summer. Hope the two of you have a wonderful and safe vacation. Great haul
Yes I’m looking forward to the asparagus. I read it helps with bloating too and u fortunately it’s that time of the month when I’m in NY. I hate feeling bloated especially on vacay!
The white cheese pack is the best I get this every time
Also get the party one
How do u get a week and half out of lettuce?!?!!. I open it and I feel like it lasts 3 days lol
I don’t cut it until I use it. I usually eat a 3 pack of romaine hearts in a week but sometimes it will be slightly more. I also keep it in my vegetable crisper drawer in the fridge. I think that helps.
@KatieHespe that might help. I don't cut mine usually either but I just Tod's in fridge so maybe the crisper makes the difference. Thank u!!!! I will try it. So annoying to waste. Have fun in NYC!!!! Safe travels
Did you see the use by date on those chips was 8/13/2024? I feel like chips get stale super quick after their use by date so wanted to point it out. I love their dill pickles!
I did not :( I guess they will have to eat them fast lol.
Great for baseball and soccer players in the summer.
I must buy everything
I read wrapping lettuce in aluminum foil in frig keeps it longer
Iceberg lasts a long time. However Iceburg/Head lettuce has no nutritional value whereas Romaine, Bibb, Butter, Leaf, Escarole, Endive, Radicchio, Frisee all have good nutritional value. They also have more taste. Iceberg is mostly about texture.
Iceberg last longer than romaine.
I bought the same laundry hamper and it broke while we were leaving the store and using it to carry our groceries. Big sad.
What really? That’s not good!
Katie, have you ever tried mushroom bacon? Also, have you ever come across vegetarian provolone, that is without animal rennit?
No on both accounts! I am interested in that bacon…sounds yummy!
If you are looking for provolone made with cows milk, Sargento and Simple Truth organic have sliced provolone that does not have animal rennet on the ingredient list - Simple Truth says “Pasteurized organic milk, cheese cultures, salt, enzymes”
Please be careful. There's been recalls on some produce from Aldi, as well as other stores.
I never buy "head lettuce" as it has absolutely no nutri.tional value-it's mainly water. If I really want crunch for something, I'll go for cabbage
Nah, romaine
Romaine always lasts longer for me, but I do prefer iceberg lettuce for tacos too!
Romain lettuce holds up way better than iceberg.
Good to know, thanks!
@@KatieHespe I usually prefer iceberg lettuce on my sandwiches, but I just find that the Romain stays crisper way longer
Iceberg lasts longer for me when I take the leaves apart, put them in a zip lock bag with a paper towel, and press as much air out of the bag as you can when you close it. Stays nice and crisp a long time!
Also, that pet crate cover is good for puppies that like the crate covered at night when sleeping. It makes them feel safe in their space. Indoors of course. ❤️
This!!! It’s all I buy or Butter lettuce 🥬 from TJ
If you can find jars of them somewhere, refrigerated jars of Claussen Kosher dill slices are THE BEST!
Iceberg lasts a long time
Did you notice those chips expire of August 13, 2024. Does not give you many days to eat them.💕💕💕💕
No I did not! Thank you for the heads up. Hopefully my in laws will eat a bunch and I know Tim and Benson will.
@@KatieHespeI wouldn’t worry about the date of the chips. They are sealed in the factory and will last longer than the date. Don’t get too hung up on that! They won’t poison you. 🤣 Love your hauls.
Be careful in NY. It's a dangerous place.
My mom was saying the same thing. I’ll be with Tim and we are only there for 2 days.
@@KatieHespeI live near NYC and go there all the time! It’s lots of fun. Just don’t act like a tourist. You’ll be fine!!
@@susanmolnar9606New York City is a Hell hole. I’m from the Poconos. Wouldn’t go into the city if it was an all expense paid vacation
@@Uprightfossil Manhattan is beautiful. My closest friend lives in the upper west side across from Central Park and I stay at his co-op all the time. I travel around town and also go to Chinatown with my Asian friend who lives near me in the next state over and have a blast. I have season tickets to the NYR at the Garden and have never ever had a problem. Also I’ve been to the Borscht Belt upstate and had lots of fun up there!! Don’t let imagined fear stop you from living your life. 😉
@@Uprightfossil😅😅😂 you ppl fear mongering. Ridiculous. New York is great; just say you’re culturally devoid 😅
