I think it's lovely you buy Benson the things he enjoys. I'm an only child too, and I believe it doesn't spoil a child, it makes them more grateful and secure. He deserves all his favorites!😂❤
No one asked but I want to share my family's SUPER SIMPLE LENTIL SOUP recipe made with all TJs items. Saute the prepared mirepoix, add the vacuum packed lentils and add veggie broth. Season to taste with salt, pepper and the green seasoning blend. So simple and even better the following day.
On the mirepoix, whenever I have carrots and celery I'm not using, I dice, throw it in a baggie, label with the date and freeze. It works so well since the texture loss doesn't matter when using as a recipe base. I do the same with green onion and herbs. I toss after 4 mos or so, but don't feel bad because it was a crisper save anyway. I'd do the same with onions, but I usually make caramelized onions to freeze if I have those left-overs. Great on burgers or anything.
I think the Fig & Honey Bartard would be good in a grilled cheese with a sharp cheddar. I just added this to my shopping list. You could chop up some fresh cilantro to add to your chunky salsa. Thank you!
OMG! Just had a glass of the cold brewed coffee and it was beyond delicious. I drink my coffee black but if you normally use milk and sugar, please try a sip without either. It's naturally sweetened, and you might not need any. Going back for a second glass and expect to be up all night! Have a great week!
Katie! Welcome back! I hope that your trip went well and that your first-time flying alone was fun! Hope you also got al the rest and relaxation you needed. Giving your kid a treat is never something to be ashamed of. Especially something that's seasonal and has a meaning for your family. Can't wait to see the taste test!
Really good haul! Glad to see certain items are back in stock. By the way, Mirepoix is pronounced "meer-pwa" or "mir-a-pwa", if that pronunciation is easier. I hope this helps for future reference.
I tried the teriyaki chicken bowl and it had a lot of vegetables and chicken. The only negative would be that there wasn't enough of the sauce. It was good for lunch.
Katie, have you ever been to Fogo de chao? It’s a steakhouse, yes, but the salad bar is a vegetarian’s dream! I have never seen so many varieties of produce, especially vegetables, in my life! We just went to the one in Brea for my husband’s birthday yesterday, but I know that there are other locations
I am curious--the coconut 'milk' is labeled on the carton as a coconut 'beverage'. How is that different than a coconut 'milk'? The bad news this week--TJ's no longer has the gluten free multi seeded crackers I am so in love with. I don't know if these are "seasonal" or are just gone. I hate when they do this...if something is really seasonal--i.e. Christmas Stollen, Pumpkin Ice Cream--OK, I can at least understand that. But normal crackers? It really upset me. There aren't many really good gluten free crackers.
Katie, long time subscriber and unofficial relative here. Though we missed you... it would have been hilarious if Tim had taken over last week. Next time you travel solo, please consider this idea!
Welcome back, so how was the flight, was it as bad as you thought it would be? I hope they have the coffee when I go,it sounds amazing. So many good things this week. Will be waiting for the taste test😊
Glad you're back, Katie. Today you are competing with the Blue Angels that are screaming overhead. Looking forward to the taste test of the gouda/walnut cheese and the fig bread. Do you put chopped cilantro in your fresh salsa? Also, whole Foods used to have cilantro rice in their hot bar. I'm not a rice person, but I did like that. If you regularly shop at Sprouts, I'd like to see a video on that as I shop there regularly via Insta-Cart.
Darn! Was hoping those bonbons were gluten-free. Wheat flour is listed as the last ingredient, so you would think it might be fairly easy to substitute a gluten-free flour. Oh well! Thanks for the haul.
You were thoroughly missed last week. I knew I’d being making a no budget trip last Sunday and I was looking forward to your haul. Nonetheless I managed to forge on 😂. I did buy and try the pretzel slims for the first time and they were an instant family favorite. I always pick up a specialty cheese (or two) from your recommendations and a wine..but I wasn’t at a TJ’s that sold wine this go round so I had to skip that. I got everything I wanted for this season so I’m looking forward to my next big haul during the Christmas season! TFS. This was a great haul ❤
Do you guys ever do potato bars, with aaaall the toppings? My son Loves stuff like that - baked potato bar, breakfast stack bar, tostada bar, dessert bar ....😋
I love cardamom and love vanilla, that being said, I couldn’t stand the taste of the new cold brew. So disappointed, cuz I had great hopes for it. I hope you like it more than I did.
What felt like a game? I told everyone I was away on vacation… I think I’m allowed one week off since I’ve posting every single Friday and Saturday for years without a single break.
I just got an email regarding Trader Joe's recall -RECALL: Potential Listeria monocytogenes in Certain Products. Hope everyone gets this email. Lists various products in certain states. It lists various chicken products sold at Trader Joe's.

For your beloved creamer … you can always pour it into an ice cube tray and then put the frozen cubes in a container for when it’s out of stock. 😊
What a great idea. Thank you for sharing 😊
@@bonnielemmon8493 You’re welcome! I do this with cold brew or chai concentrate as well.
@@l.chelseegobin7853 Definitely will be doing this 😊
@@bonnielemmon8493 this is so funny, 😂 I was going to say the exact same thing. It’s a great idea.
I love cilantro as well.i like making Pico de Gallo and putting it on salads and also omelets....so wonderful!

I had no idea the tomato paste in a tube was seasonal, I thought it had gone away! Thanks so much for letting us know!

Love the TJ Grocery Haul and I've to get some of these new bakery items because they look so good.

Welcome back. Missed you and your hauls. Lots of good stuff
I missed u glad u back ❤️♥️🧸

No I haven’t! I’ll have to check it out if I’m near one in the future
Breaks are good and needed. But we missed you and Tim's funny faces at tasting.

I like this idea!
Great idea!!
So happy you’re back!
Katie, would you mind sharing the soup recipe that you were talking about. Potato and broccoli and cheese sounds so good.
Nice to have you back!
I hope you enjoyed your break. I caught a bit of your adventures on Instagram, and it looked like you had fun. Glad to have you back.
The bread with the cheese and hot honey would be delightful!
Fyi, the mirepoix is pronounced "mirpwuah" it's confusing because of the way it's spelled but French words are tricky. I hope this helps.
And no "d" in batar(d). We'll teach you French yet!

The flight was so easy! No big deal at all 😀
@@KatieHespe I’m so glad you had a nice flight 😊
I saw your adventures not far from where we live. Hope you enjoyed Paso and the coast.
It was so amazing and we got perfect weather while we were there!
That’s what sells me on an IPA…if it looks like a Halloween can. Otherwise never!!

So interesting how so many of those products are not available at my Trader Joe’s in Colorado Springs.
Can you freeze your creamer if it's seasonal? 😊

Great review! We do " meatless Mondays too". Always pasta and or pizza each week.
Those ghost 👻 pepper chips are the BEST!!! But I don’t find them spicy at all, unfortunately ha

Yes! I did that for our New Year’s party last year. It was a big hit!
You needed that break, but I still miss you
I love cardamom and love vanilla, that being said, I couldn’t stand the taste of the new cold brew. So disappointed, cuz I had great hopes for it. I hope you like it more than I did.
Didn’t like the teriyaki bowls . Love the new maple butter with the french fig bread warmed in toaster oven.
Has he tried three musketeers?
Prices?😊
What about them? They are all in the video…
What about em?
Yay! Katie is back!
I was worried.
Like button hit!!
Me too! Felt a little like a game. :(

@KatieHespe I'm not sure what she meant by that.🤷♀️
No milk? Do you ever eat cereal?
Nope, but we do drink almond milk in our coffee.
