- FAILED THOUSANDS OF TIMES! Today we have on a giant Chicken & rice challenge that is the biggest chicken rice challenge I have ever seen! This famous thai food challenge has been around for over 12 years and has had many thousands (not 550 I misspoke in the video) of people try to complete this difficult food challenge. Today we are at Sri Leuang Porchana in Bangkok Thailand for this dish famous both as a street food and a restaurant food alike. The challenge is to eat the chicken and rice in 60 minutes in order to get the 650B meal for free (about 20usd), other wise we would be paying for the meal! The Cucumber, blood and soup is not required to be eaten in order to complete the challenge. Thousands of people have tried the challenge, and even 6-person teams have failed to finish everything within the 1-hour time limit. There was both dark meat (chicken thighs) and white meat (chicken breast). If ordered normally you can get fried chicken, but this cannot be a fried chicken challenge. Good for Joel! If I remember correctly, I started watching him when he had around 400k subscribers.
I'm a cheeseball but it means a lot that he does veggies for the kids. We underestimate how (globally) kids are so neglected and not considered. It matters that he keeps including them, even in such a small way. As a person form a country that didn't care about our childhoods, that means a lot to me. Cheers.
He doesn't do it for the kids, most of these competitive eaters do not leave the veg till last.

He should try the Thai food I get. Ordering a 7/10 will light you up. I could barely eat the 10/10 when I got it. It sets me on fire worse than the max heat at Dave's hot chicken.

For those in the comments saying its bland its not at all! The rice is cooked in chicken broth.
The chicken as well is suppose to be eaten along with the rice while chasing it down with the soup.
You got the chili which is great but your missing the vinegar jalenpenos and the ginger sauce which is delicious with this dish thats called "khao mien gai"
So with that being said it isnt bland also everybody in the comments try LAO food and not thai better flavor.

So the rice tastes like chicken and the chicken isn't seasoned which also just tastes like chicken. Everything tastes like chicken, so that would be considered bland my friend

Love it when Joel goes international challenge. Also in the future, would you share your tips to get healthier by having balanced diets, supplements, or any other insights?
Diets work differently for everyone. It depends on how your body responds to certain foods. So what works for Joel might not work as well for you. Just saying. My advice would be to consult a nutritionist and get more than one nutritionists opinion. Just my opinion. I was only trying to be helpful and not passing judgement. To each is their own. I do realize that my advice is easier said than done. I wish you the best 🤙🏽

Joel You did a great job on that super large plate of chicken & rice !!! I love going to Thailand and Bangkok is one of my favorites. The foods are amazing and the amount you receive for the price is amazing. Do try the " Thai hot peppers " they usually serve them sliced in a small dish with fish oil ...... they are HOT !!!! Glad to see you in Thailand as it really is a beautiful country and you are right, the Thai people are so friendly and nice. Thailand is probably one of my favorite places to visit. Have Fun !!
