- Today we take on a very spicy Nashville hot chicken sandwich challenge! This spicy chicken sandwich challenge is EXTRA LARGE, with a large 1lb fried chicken breast covered in "Nashville" sauce and then loaded with ghost pepper and Carolina reaper pepper seasonings on an oversized 6" bun! For todays spicy food challenge we are in Everette Washington at That Chicken Place trying to get our $30 meal for free and a free t-shirt if we can eat the hot chicken sandwich in 5 minutes without drinks and last the 5 minute after burn without drinks or food ! The five minute time limit is a mistake by the restaurant. It should have been ten minutes. Then the eater would eat it slower and the heat would have time to destroy them. What five minutes says, is you just have to keep chomping and chewing as fast as you can, no matter what. No time for the heat to do it's true thing until you finish. After eating that hot coal for ten minutes, the afterwait would be ten times as brutal.

Nickis bella marina in Bellingham wa has a "super monster mega challenge burger"! You finish it and you win a fender guitar! Not sure if you're still in Washington but it's about an hour north of Everett.
He would definitely finish it. How big is it out of curiosity? My husband grew up in Everett, and we are planning on visiting sometime this summer. He has friends and family in Bellingham too, so we will be there.

8:02 the red paste you’re referring to is Achiote paste! It’s a traditional spice in Mexico and Central America, not really hot but it has an earthiness and bitterness to it. That’s really impressive you could pick out that exact flavor on your palate!

That looks amazing! Betting they put a lot of extra powder on that chicken let alone the sauce. 5 minutes sounds crazy for the size of the sandwich, add in all that heat and ouch, and I love super spicy food.
That 5-minutes at the end reminds me of the Death Nut challenge which is 13 million Scoville units for the final nut compartment. It is crazy.

the red paste you're talking about is probably achiote. it has a very mild earthy flavour, but is a delicious addition to central american cuisine! Very easy to cook with and excellent with chicken :)

My husband was a line cook, he says the same thing always cook like your cooking for yourself and your family. All the food in the beginning looks delicious. 😋🤤 Yes that hells chicken sandwich looks very spicy. 🔥🥵 That's when you want a de la rosa marzipan to eat after the challenge for the cool down since I believe your not allergic to peanuts.
