Great list, I haven't heard some of these bands (especially glad about the one you mentioned for Blood Incantation fans, and yes, I'm ashamed), so thanks for showing people great stuff like this. Ever since I finished high-school I really haven't had much time to spend on searching for new music. I don't want to hear people say "this shit slaps it's so heavy" and listen to borderline noise (no problem with any of that music, my point is for example, at least you point out when a band is like Reek of the Unzen Gas Fumes so I know whether to check it out or not depending on my mood). Arghoslent - Galloping Through The Battle Ruins 4. Ares Kingdom - Incendiary 3. Incantation - Diabolical Conquest 2. The Chasm - The Spell Of Retribution 1. Great list. I always love to hear and talk about death metal. Here's my list. 10. Mercenary -Bolt thrower 9. Conquering the throne -Hate eternal 8. Seved survival -Autopsy 7. Pierced from within -Suffocation 6. Harmony corruption -Napalm death 5. Dechristianize -Vital remains 4. Cause of death -Obituary 3. Tomb of the mutilated -Cannibal corpse 2. Symbolic -Death 1. Replace severed survival and mercenary with those once loyal and Mental funeral, I mean cmon are you serious to pick something like severed survival when you have albums like leprosy, altars of madness, consuming impulse for osdm from the 80s?!?!
10 cause of death 9 mental funeral 8 deicide 7 leprosy 6 consuming impulse 5 the key 4 dreaming with the dead 3 piece of time 2 erosion of sanity 1 altars of madness
I’m still a pretty big newbie when it comes to a lot of death metal, but here are some of my favorites in no particular order Bolt Thrower - IVth Crusade Spectral Voice - Eroded Corridors of Unbeing Blood Incantation - Starspawn Death - Symbolic Infernal Coil - Within A World Forgotten Carnage - Dark Recollections Cave Bastard - The Bleak Shall Devour the Earth Torture Rack - Malefic Humiliation Morbus Chron - Sweven Entombed - Left Hand Path
SOULVOID I’ve been lucky enough to have my friend guide me through the genre a few albums at a time. He and I grew up listening to and playing music together, so he knows better than I what I’ll like and won’t. He started me off with those two and they are absolutely fantastic records, I can’t get enough of them!
1 per band, inclusing Death Doom for me: 1. Bolt Thrower - Those once loyal 2. Gorguts - Colored Sands 3. My Dying Bride - Turn Loose the Swans 4. Immolation - Closer to a World Below 5. Carcass - Heartwork 6. Morbid Angel - Altars of Madness 7. Septicflesh - Communion 8. Incantation - Onwards to Golgotha 9. Cryptopsy - None so Vile 10. Mar de Grises - The Tatterdemalion Express
Replace realm of chaos and consuming impulse with Altars of madness for 1989, its just musically and compositionally a much superior album and you know it ;)
10) Jungle Rot - self titled. 9) Suffocation - ...of the dark light. 8) Opprobrium - beyond the unknown. 7) Entombed - Left Hand Path. 6) Cryophilic - Barbarity. 5) Morbid Angel - Alters of Madness. 4) Cancer - Death Shall Rise. 3) Death - Scream Bloody Gore 2) Cannibal Corpse - Eaten Back To Life. 1) Death - Symbolic
Honourable Mention: Acheron- The Rites Of The Black Mass, Malevolent Creation- The Ten Commandments, Pentacle- Undr The Black Cross, Cancer- Death Shall Rise, Death- Spiritual Healing, Cianide- A Descent Into Hell 10. Obituary- Slowly We Rot 09. Pungent Stench- Been Caught Buttering 08. Grave- You'll Never See 07. Broken Hope- The Bowels Of Repugnance 06. Possessed- Seven Churches 05. Morbid Angel- Covenant 04. Some of my favourites are: Splattered Cadaver: Merciless Butchery Severe Torture: Misanthropic Carnage Dying Fetus: Destroy the Opposition Putrid Pile: Blood Fetish Baphomet: The Dead Shall Inherit Brutal Truth: Extreme Conditions Demand Extreme Responses Deicide: either once upon the cross or serpents of the light Deeds of flesh: Trading Pieces Cannibal Corpse: Tomb of the Mutilated Suffocation: Effigy or Pierced
I thought albums like Transcendence into The Peripheral (1993) by disembowelment in the early 90's is what set the trend long ago for the cosmic aesthetic we see today.
My top 17 (not in any particular order) Wombbath - Internal Caustic Torments Adramelech - Psychostasia Blood Red Throne - Altered Genesis Vital Remains - Let Us Pray Brutality - Screams of Anguish Deicide - Deicide Seance - Fornever Laid to Rest Dominus - View to Dim Immolation - Close To a World Below Jungle Rot - Dead and Buried Morbid Angel - Gateways to Annihilation Dead Congregation - Promulgation of the Fall Tomb Mold - Manor of Infinite Forms Kataklysm - Sorcery Entombed - Left Hand Path Hate Eternal - I, Monarch Pungent Stench - Been Caught Buttering Can't really reduce this to less than a top 17 (it already was hard because i was limiting myself to only straight forward death metal without any subgenres and only to a one album per band)
Here's mine: 1. Death - leprosy 2. Obituary - cause of death 3. Morbid angel - alters of madness 4. suffocation - peirced from within 5. Obituary - slowly we rot 6. Death - scream bloody gore 7. Cannibal corpse - tomb of the mutilated 8. Death - symbolic 9. Entombed - left hand path 10. Morbid angel - blessed are the sick

Morbid Angel - Covenant Honerable Mentions: Edge of Sanity - Crimson Entombed - Left Hand Path Runemagick - Supreme Force of Eternity Gorguts - The Erosion of Sanity Xysma - Yeah Many say 1991 was Death Metal's best year, but for me it was 1993.
My top 5 Repugnant - Epitome of Darkness Blood Incantation - Starspawn Ruin - Drown in Blood Antediluvian - Through the Cervix of Hawaah Howls of Ebb - Vigils of the Third Eye
1.Six Feet Under-Graveyard Classics 2 2.Cesspool of Vermin-Beastial Necrophilia 3.Deeds of Flesh-Inbreeding the Anthropophagi 4.Grave-Youll Never See 5.Cannibal Corpse-the Bleeding 6.Immolation-Here in After 7.Broken Hope-Swamped in Gore 8.Vital Remains-In Cold Darkness 9.Hour of Pennance-Vile Conception 10.Demonic Christ-( I own their CDs used to play them a lot , my CDs are boxed up can't remember album titles Dishonorable mentions Acheron , Zombified Bowel Acid-Sodomizing Grandaddys Corpse , Incantation-Upon the Throne of the Apocalypse, Unleashed-Polish Blood, Throne Hammer
Interesting list. Definitely full of boundary pushing albums. I think your list reflects how important the time someone starts listening to metal influences their individual perspective and opinion. While I own most of those albums and think they are great the only one that would even get close to my top 10 is The Chasm or maybe Altars of Madeness.
I agree with you completely. I really dig most of the stuff from the list (a lot of it is new to me though), but probably nothing from the video would get near my top 10, maybe Arghoslent if I ever start ignoring the fact that they're racists. I grew up on more experimental and proggy death so I always leaned more towards stuff like Edge of Sanity, Opeth and tech bands, from your choices I'd guess you're more into the old school stuff :D
@@PathodDayshade It all depends on the era, for eg if you want to listen to an 80s osdm album then Altars of madness is pretty much the pinnacle in terms of musicmanship and songwriting
Fetocide - Redefine. Napalm Death - Harmony Corruption. Morbid Angel - Altars And Formulas Fatal. Miasma - Changes. Krisiun - Apocalyptic revelations and Southern Storm. Vader - Litany. Lock Up - All albums. Brutal Truth - Extreme conditions.
Off the top, no order- Obituary 'Cause of Death' and 'The End Complete', Death 'Leprosy', Morbid Angel 'Gateway to Annihilation', Bolt Thrower 'IV Crusade', Darkthrone 'Soulside Journey',
In no particular order: Bolt Thrower- Realm of Chaos Incantation- Onward to Golgotha Defeated Sanity- Passages into Deformity Total Rusack- Exploding the Cranial Alienation Mental- Ball Spouter Death- Scream Bloody Gore Black Dhalia Murder- Nocturnal At the Gates- Slaughter of the Soul Gorguts- Considered Dead Caustic Wound- Death Posture Demilich- Nespithe Portal: Ion
Interesting picks. I heard you talking about Arghoslent before, and read a lot of praise from other sources, but even if it's not bad, not bad at all, I thought it would be a whole lot better than it is.
1. Cryptopsy- None So Vile 2. Autopsy- Mental Funeral 3. Frightmare- Bringing Back the Bloodshed 4. Morbid Angel- Altars of Madness 5. Arghoslent- Incorrigible Bigotry 6. Augury- Fragmentary Evidence 7. Skinless- Progression Towards Evil 8. Suffocation- Pierced From Within 9. Adramelech- Psychostasia 10. Death Strike- Fuckin' Death If I were to include EPs I'd have Human Waste instead of Pierced. Deeds of Flesh- Gradually Melted would be there somewhere too. Honarable mentions- Erosion, Ending Quest, Here In After, Embalmed Existence, Iniquity- Serenadium, Deicide, Angelcorpse- Exterminate, The Key, The Bleeding, Purification through Violence, Voracious Contempt
10: Atonement or Close to a World Below by Immolation. Pretty different albums but they're both so good at what they're trying to achieve and I really can't decide which is better. 9: Leprosy by Death. A classic in the genre that needs no explanation. 8: She Lay Gutted by Disgorge. I prefer Matti's vocals on Cranial Impalement, but this is actually a full album and is exactly what you want from Disgorge. 7: Ignominious Atonement by Putridity. Non stop relentless brutality. 6: 1.3.8 by Devourment. Slam that's more than just stupid retarded pig noises (I love that too but this feels far more like actual music) 5: Altars of Madness by Morbid Angel. My favorite OSDM album by a long shot. 4: None so Vile by Cryptopsy. It's a classic for a reason, basically a perfect album. 3: Colored Sands by Gorguts. Really smart and forward thinking metal with a ton of depth and complexity. 2: Effigy of the Forgotten by Suffocation. Hugely influential and heavy as balls. 1: The Sanguinary Impetus by Defeated Sanity. I know it's only 2 years old by now but I genuinely think it's some of the greatest music of the 21st century.
I must be an old curmudgeon, I don't know at least half the bands and there's so many epic albums I don't see. Definitely going to check out the ones I don't know.
My all time favourite regular death metal album is probably Necroticism by Carcass. It's not the most soul-crushing, or technical but damn, I just never get tired of it. I just love the fact that it oozes personality with lyrics and vocal performances, and overall songs are insanely catchy
1. Gorefest - Mindloss 2. Brutal Truth - Extreme Condition Demands Extreme Response 3. Bolt Thrower - The IV Crusade 4. Autopsy - Severed Survival 5. Fear Factory - Soul Of A New Machine 6. Grave - Soulless 7. Death - Human 8. Benediction - Transcend The Rubicon 9. Obliveon - Nemesis 10. Pungent Stench - For God Your Soul...For Me Your Flesh

Entombed- Left Hand Path 3. Morbid Angel- Altars Of Madness 4. Autopsy- Severed Survival 5. Deranged- High On Blood 6. Vader- Black To The Blind 7. Pungent Stench- Been Caught Buttering 8. Benediction- Subconscious Terror 9. Cannibal Corpse- The Wretched Spawn 10. Ace0phalix- Interminable Night Plus so many other fucking beasts, but I'd need way too many spaces- even now I'm thinking of other absolute belters....ahhh FUCK!
It's impossible for me to make this list but if you put a gun to my head the first 10 that come to my mind are Kataklysm - Sorcery, The Chasm - The Spell of Retribution, Bolt Thrower - Realm of Chaos, Vital Remains - Dawn of the Apocalypse, Pan.Thy.Monium - Dawn of Dreams, Slugathor - Circle of Death, Usipian - Dead Corner of the Eye, Mutilated - Devirginated Genital Pulp, The Chasm - Procession to the Infraworld, and Deathcult for Eternity: The Triumph. This is excluding all melodic death and blackened death, cause that'd be a way different list (well Deathcult is pretty damn melodic but oh well, if you can't tell I'm a fucking Chasm fan) (also I can't think of a reason why any death metal album beats Kataklysm's debut, the ultimate dm masterpiece, wish they stayed that way and had Sylvain Houde for longer)
just realized I did just make the list and relatively quick but there are alot of contenders like Suffocation, Regurgitaion, and Appalling Spawn's debut albums, and things are always switching around and changing place based on mood or whatever
I clicked seeing death metal and I wasn't disappointed with this list. I like death metal more than black metal and there was some really good albums on this list and some I don't know anything about which I'll have to check out
It's refreshing to see someone who isn't afraid to put up a list for everyone to see that isn't just the same bands that everyone else is into. Yeah, a lot of those albums are great, and yeah, there's a lot of people out there that really do rank them as such, but c'mon...to say that there hasn't been a good death metal record post 90s? Pure ignorance. You do you, my dude.
Todd Taylor First four albums are all classic imo, and I still enjoy the newer stuff too. Here in After was one of my first death metal albums, would be in my top 5 for sure
Late but here are my top 10 DM albums Spawn of Possession - Incurso (tech) Inferi- Path of Apotheosis (melodic tech) Imperial Circus Dead Decadence - whatever their 2nd full length is pronounced (it's in Japanese, the one from 2011, symphonic melodeath that borders on prog with how many stuff they mixed with it) Opeth - Blackwater Park (prog) Gorguts - Coloured Sands (tech, and maybe prog) Rivers of Nihil - Where Owls Know My Name (prog blended with tech) Obscura - A Valediction (prog and tech) Death - Symbolic Vermilion D Alice Syndrome - Karasu (another from Japan, same vocals as ICDD, Symphonic/gothic melodeath in the same way as ICDD but in a more darker sound) Ne Obliviscaris - Portal of I (prog) If NeO dosen't count then #10 would be Fleshgod - Agony (symphonic tech death) Favourite to least favourite: 2nd ICDD full length Karasu Blackwater Park Incurso Portal of I Where Owls Know My Name Symbolic Path of Apotheosis Agony A Valediction Coloured Sands

My top 10 would be... 10°Cattle decapitation -Monolith of inhumanity.9°Morbid angel -Of course ALTARS of fucking MADNESS!!8°Decapitated -Organic hallucinosis.7°Lost soul-with a true masterpiece -Immerse in infinity .6°Nile-the Monumental, best fucking tone in Death metal-Annihilation of the wicked.5°Suffocation-the birth of the breakdown as we know it-Efiggy of the forgotten.4°Cryptopsy-the madness personificated-NONE SO VILE.3°Immolation -the unnamed gods and the best old school death metal in my book-HERE IN AFTER!!!.2°Gorguts -the craziest, most perverse album-OBSCURA!!!........ 1°EVERYTHING IS FIRE!!!!!!by the mighty ULCERATE .soundtrack of apocalypse...seriously the song whitered and obsolete is the most intense shit you would ever heard!!!
You know what band who is quite well known but their first album is practically unknown by most fans? God Dethroned "The Christhunt". Their darkest and most evil sounding album. The vocals..holy shit. Speaking of death metal from Finland, Purtenance and their first album "Member of Immortal Damnation". Torchure from Germany too with "The Essence".
Heres Mine. 10. Obituary Cause of Death 9. Decide Legion 8: Morbid Angel Atlers of Madness 7. Amon Amarth Twilight of the Thunder God 6. The band named and logo screams deathcore. The music however is this amaxing blend of sludge, black metal, death metal and even a tiny bit of heavy metal.
Dude, the Chasm's Procession to the Infraworld is on my top 10 for damn sure. Altars of Madness is good, but Morbid Angel's Formulas Fatal to the Flesh is underrated. You should check out Obliteration from Norway. They crush.
I adore Alters of Madness, thats either my second or third favorite album from them, but Formulas is my all time favorite and I agree that it's very underrated. Invocation of the Continual One is a masterpiece and easily their best song
1. Lykathea aflame - elvenefris 2. Cannibal corpse - tomb of the mutilated 3. Rotting - crushed 4. Exhumed - gore metal 5. Impaled - the dead shall/still dead remain 6. Broken hope - swamped in gore HB. phlebotomized - deformation of humanity, opeth - blackwater park
@@jimit.4220 don't get me wrong dude molesting the decapitated is probably like top 30-35 for me. Very good album I just don't think it'd rank in the absolute top favorites of mine
I mean even if you are taking popular osdm albums from that year into acc then Covenant pretty much eats it alive in terms of compositions and musicmanship and songwriting so keep dreaming lmao
You got some bizarre tastes in Death Metal, no Suffocation, Immolation, Nile etc . What's even stranger in including one of the best known Death Metal Albums at the bottom of the list . I was expecting a Black Metal fan to include bands like Demonic Christ, Teitans Blood , Acheron, Incantation, Vital Remains ETC.
1)Gorguts-Colored Sands 2)Death-Spiritual Healing 3)Gojira-L'Enfant Sauvage 4)Gojira-The Way of all flesh 5)Gojira-Magma 6)Decapitated-Blood Mantra 7)Decapitated-Nihility 8)Nile-Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka 9)Nile-In Their Darkened Shrines 10)Every Dethklok album

The drummer on the Xenomorph has been said to have been on an 8 ball and did that whole album in one take. Such a killer album, one of my favs.

Bolt Thrower - Mercenary
Blood Incantation - Starspawn
Hate Eternal - Upon Desolate Sands
Unhuman - Unhuman (highly recommended, especially if you're a vocal freak like me, some impressive vocals right here)
Vitriol - To Bathe from the Throat of Cowardice
Lago - Sea of Duress
Vuvr - Pilgrimage (very progressive/jazzy later half of the album if you dig that)
Venom Prison - Samsara (probably my favorite along with Vitriol and Dir en grey these last few years, mix of DM and HC that doesn't sound like deathcore)
Dir en grey - Dum Spiro Spero (like Vuvr, very progressive throughout with some ballads and shit, no jazz though, but a bunch of genre mixing)
Disentomb - Misery
Sulphur Aeon - Gateway to the Antisphere
At the Gates - Slaughter of the Soul
Gorguts - The Erosion of Sanity
Spectral Voice - Eroded Corridors of Unbeing
Obliteration - Cenotaph Obscure
Chthe'ilist - Le Dernier Crepuscule

Replace severed survival and mercenary with those once loyal and Mental funeral, I mean cmon are you serious to pick something like severed survival when you have albums like leprosy, altars of madness, consuming impulse for osdm from the 80s?!?!
10 cause of death
9 mental funeral
8 deicide
7 leprosy
6 consuming impulse
5 the key
4 dreaming with the dead
3 piece of time
2 erosion of sanity
1 altars of madness
Nice choices
"Blessed Are The Sick" and "Covenant" are better than "Altars Of Madness".
Tincho Rinaldi imo not at all but there definitely good
@@nikkisixx7395 Theirs no facts based in opinion based list. Their better to you.
None so vile. 1. Forever.
They did it rather well... don't you think?
"Whisper Supremacy" is the best Cryptopsy album PERİOD.
Derpo 17 Whisper Supremacy sucks? Gurl you crazy.
Heaviest album ever.
Napalm Tomahawk left hand path or 138
Awesome list! Respect for the Chasm shoutout. Love that band.
Love that Mitochondrian, insane/ creative drumming& lead work
I’m still a pretty big newbie when it comes to a lot of death metal, but here are some of my favorites in no particular order
Bolt Thrower - IVth Crusade
Spectral Voice - Eroded Corridors of Unbeing
Blood Incantation - Starspawn
Death - Symbolic
Infernal Coil - Within A World Forgotten
Carnage - Dark Recollections
Cave Bastard - The Bleak Shall Devour the Earth
Torture Rack - Malefic Humiliation
Morbus Chron - Sweven
Entombed - Left Hand Path
if you're new to DM and dig Spectral Voice and Blood Incantation, I'm pretty sure you'll get deep into DM in no time :D
SOULVOID I’ve been lucky enough to have my friend guide me through the genre a few albums at a time. He and I grew up listening to and playing music together, so he knows better than I what I’ll like and won’t. He started me off with those two and they are absolutely fantastic records, I can’t get enough of them!
1 per band, inclusing Death Doom for me:
1. Bolt Thrower - Those once loyal
2. Gorguts - Colored Sands
3. My Dying Bride - Turn Loose the Swans
4. Immolation - Closer to a World Below
5. Carcass - Heartwork
6. Morbid Angel - Altars of Madness
7. Septicflesh - Communion
8. Incantation - Onwards to Golgotha
9. Cryptopsy - None so Vile
10. Mar de Grises - The Tatterdemalion Express
Thanks for the recommendations, Wyatt.
Loved your list man, most people seem affraid to put albums released past 1998 in their top 10
Your best top 10 video yet great stuff. Also hats off to you for being able to narrow this down to 10 for me that would be fucking impossible haha

Replace realm of chaos and consuming impulse with Altars of madness for 1989, its just musically and compositionally a much superior album and you know it ;)
@@derekobs9688 It is, but i personally prefer those over Altars of Madness.

Some of my favourites are:
Splattered Cadaver: Merciless Butchery
Severe Torture: Misanthropic Carnage
Dying Fetus: Destroy the Opposition
Putrid Pile: Blood Fetish
Baphomet: The Dead Shall Inherit
Brutal Truth: Extreme Conditions Demand Extreme Responses
Deicide: either once upon the cross or serpents of the light
Deeds of flesh: Trading Pieces
Cannibal Corpse: Tomb of the Mutilated
Suffocation: Effigy or Pierced
Brutal truth isnt death metal
Extreme conditions pretty much is.
Leprosy by Death, Morbid Angel's Blessed are the Sick and Massacre's From Beyond are my favorites!
I thought albums like Transcendence into The Peripheral (1993) by disembowelment in the early 90's is what set the trend long ago for the cosmic aesthetic we see today.
My top 17 (not in any particular order)
Wombbath - Internal Caustic Torments
Adramelech - Psychostasia
Blood Red Throne - Altered Genesis
Vital Remains - Let Us Pray
Brutality - Screams of Anguish
Deicide - Deicide
Seance - Fornever Laid to Rest
Dominus - View to Dim
Immolation - Close To a World Below
Jungle Rot - Dead and Buried
Morbid Angel - Gateways to Annihilation
Dead Congregation - Promulgation of the Fall
Tomb Mold - Manor of Infinite Forms
Kataklysm - Sorcery
Entombed - Left Hand Path
Hate Eternal - I, Monarch
Pungent Stench - Been Caught Buttering
Can't really reduce this to less than a top 17 (it already was hard because i was limiting myself to only straight forward death metal without any subgenres and only to a one album per band)
Here's mine:
1. Death - leprosy
2. Obituary - cause of death
3. Morbid angel - alters of madness
4. suffocation - peirced from within
5. Obituary - slowly we rot

Can you make a vid on top 10 underated death metal band ? I wonder what you 'd say about Deranged, Myrkskog , Kronos, Benighted .
My top 5
Repugnant - Epitome of Darkness

8.Vital Remains-In Cold Darkness
9.Hour of Pennance-Vile Conception
10.Demonic Christ-( I own their CDs used to play them a lot , my CDs are boxed up can't remember album titles
Dishonorable mentions Acheron , Zombified Bowel Acid-Sodomizing Grandaddys Corpse , Incantation-Upon the Throne of the Apocalypse, Unleashed-Polish Blood, Throne Hammer
You really think Altars of mandess is inferior musically to necrocracy for eg? Lmao
@@PathodDayshade It all depends on the era, for eg if you want to listen to an 80s osdm album then Altars of madness is pretty much the pinnacle in terms of musicmanship and songwriting
Fetocide - Redefine.
Napalm Death - Harmony Corruption.
Morbid Angel - Altars
And Formulas Fatal.
Miasma - Changes.
Krisiun - Apocalyptic revelations and Southern Storm.
Vader - Litany.
Lock Up - All albums.
Brutal Truth - Extreme conditions.
Off the top, no order- Obituary 'Cause of Death' and 'The End Complete', Death 'Leprosy', Morbid Angel 'Gateway to Annihilation', Bolt Thrower 'IV Crusade', Darkthrone 'Soulside Journey',
In no particular order:
Bolt Thrower- Realm of Chaos
Incantation- Onward to Golgotha
Defeated Sanity- Passages into Deformity
Total Rusack- Exploding the Cranial
Alienation Mental- Ball Spouter
Death- Scream Bloody Gore
Black Dhalia Murder- Nocturnal
At the Gates- Slaughter of the Soul
Gorguts- Considered Dead
Caustic Wound- Death Posture
Demilich- Nespithe
Portal: Ion
Interesting picks. I heard you talking about Arghoslent before, and read a lot of praise from other sources, but even if it's not bad, not bad at all, I thought it would be a whole lot better than it is.
1. Cryptopsy- None So Vile
2. Autopsy- Mental Funeral
3. Frightmare- Bringing Back the Bloodshed
4. Morbid Angel- Altars of Madness
5. Arghoslent- Incorrigible Bigotry
6. Augury- Fragmentary Evidence
7. Skinless- Progression Towards Evil
8. Suffocation- Pierced From Within
9. Adramelech- Psychostasia
10. Death Strike- Fuckin' Death
If I were to include EPs I'd have Human Waste instead of Pierced.
Slam that's more than just stupid retarded pig noises (I love that too but this feels far more like actual music)
5: Altars of Madness by Morbid Angel.
And even that is goregrind and not pure death metal lol
@@F4RB3YONDM3T4L Idk, it doesn't feel like much goregrind for me, unlike Symphonies of Sickness.
@@nejdetorhun5531 oh I guess I wasn’t thinking what album. Symphonies and reek are the goregrind ones yeah
1. Gorefest - Mindloss
2. Brutal Truth - Extreme Condition Demands Extreme Response
3. Bolt Thrower - The IV Crusade
4. Autopsy - Severed Survival
5. Fear Factory - Soul Of A New Machine
6. Grave - Soulless
7. Death - Human
8. Benediction - Transcend The Rubicon
9. Obliveon - Nemesis
10. Pungent Stench - For God Your Soul...For Me Your Flesh
What do ya think of the other two Arghoslent LP's? You don't ever mention them.

1. Autopsy- Mental Funeral
2. Carcass. Symphoniezs Of Sickness

4.The Ravenous- Assembled In Blasphemy
5. Human Remains Using Sickness As A Hero
6. Deicide Legion
7. Obituary- Cause Of Death
8. Entombed- Clandestine
9. Death- Scream Bloody Gore
10. Abscess- In The Cracks Of Death
Others on rotation often-
1. Exhumed- Slaughtercult
2. Entombed- Left Hand Path
3. Morbid Angel- Altars Of Madness
4. Autopsy- Severed Survival
5. Deranged- High On Blood
6. Vader- Black To The Blind
7. Pungent Stench- Been Caught Buttering
8. Benediction- Subconscious Terror
9. Cannibal Corpse- The Wretched Spawn
10. Ace0phalix- Interminable Night
Plus so many other fucking beasts, but I'd need way too many spaces- even now I'm thinking of other absolute belters....ahhh FUCK!
Was anxiously hoping that Hatred was at the top and was not disappointed.
What? No Gorement's "The Ending Quest" in your list? Give it a try if you dont know them... Im sure they will get a spot on your list.
Definitely my favorite Swedish death metal full length. The Eructation demo and Red in the Sky Is Ours is up there too
Really surprised to not see Reign Supreme with your love of Dying Fetus.
I like death metal more than black metal and there was some really good albums on this list and some I don't know anything about which I'll have to check out
Thank you for giving Arghoslent the recognition they deserve.
Dead Congregation, Disma and Chtheilist comes to mind.
Are you a fan of Immolation? They're probably my favorite death metal band and i was wanting to hear your opinion on them.
Unholy Cult is one of my all time favorites.
Todd Taylor First four albums are all classic imo, and I still enjoy the newer stuff too. Here in After was one of my first death metal albums, would be in my top 5 for sure
@@goat666db They were cool but definitely not up there even with the popular greats imo

Spawn of Possession - Incurso (tech)
Inferi- Path of Apotheosis (melodic tech)
Imperial Circus Dead Decadence - whatever their 2nd full length is pronounced (it's in Japanese, the one from 2011, symphonic melodeath that borders on prog with how many stuff they mixed with it)
Opeth - Blackwater Park (prog)
Gorguts - Coloured Sands (tech, and maybe prog)
Rivers of Nihil - Where Owls Know My Name (prog blended with tech)
Obscura - A Valediction (prog and tech)

Where Owls Know My Name
Symbolic
Path of Apotheosis

HEELSTEVEN MAGGLE He’s said in multiple videos it’s it his top favorite dm albums
Dude you missed an opportunity to say "Mitochondrion is the powerhouse of death metal"
Wtf, that Dragged Into Sunlight album is sick. I never listened to them because I subconsciously labeled them as a deathcore band for some reason.
They crush.
