Decrepit Birth is my latest death metal discovery I've been getting into. Particularly the "Polarity" album. And I'd need to have a Dying Fetus album in my top 20, probably "Reign Supreme".
My top 20 Death Metal Albums would be 1 Cannibal Corpse - Tomb Of The Mutilated 2 Incantation - Onward To Golgotha 3 Deicide - Decide 4 Morbid Angel - Alters Of Madness 5 Mortician - Hacked Up For Barbque/ Zombie 6 Nunslaughter - Goat 7 Immolation - Majesty And Decay 8 Death - Scream Bloody Gore 9 Dying Fetus - Wrong One To Fuck With 10 Devourment - Butcher The Weak 11 Fulci - Tropical Sun 12 Defeated Sanity - The Sanquinary Impetus 13 Evil Incarnate - Blood Of The Saints 14 Autophagy - Bacteriophagy 15 Morta Skuld - Dying Remains 16 Phobophillic - Enveloping Absurdity 17 Sinister - Diabolical Summoning 18 Vital Remains - Icons Of Evil 19 Worm - Gloomlord 20 Burial - Divinity Through Eradication
Excellent list, man! Here's mine, mostly heavy on the classic stuff and has quite a lot of overlap with yours 1. Bolt Thrower - Those Once Loyal 2. Death - Scream Bloody Gore 3. Sepultura - Beneath the Remains 4. Obituary - Cause of Death 5. Cannibal Corpse - Butchered at Birth 6. Entombed - Clandestine 7. Deicide - Legion 8. Dismember - Massive Killing Capacity 9. Kreator - Pleasure to Kill 16. Behemoth - Demigod 17. At The Gates - Slaughter of the Soul 18. Hypocrisy - Virus 19. Unleashed - Across the Open Sea 20. Immolation - Majesty and Decay
Solid list! I'm glad to see Hypocrisy on there, Virus is a killer album. I'd perhaps call it more of a melodic death metal album and if I had to choose pure DM from them I'd go with Penetralia or Osculum Obscenum for such a list, but all are great choices in any case.
1.Obituary Slowly We Rot 2.Morbid angel Alters of madness 3.Carcass Heartwork 4.cannibal corpse bloodthirst 5.Massacre from beyond 6.Death Leprosy 7.Pestilance consuming impulse 8.Deicide legion 9.Entombed left hand path 10.Cryptopsy Blasphemy made flesh
Here is a quick five that most no one would ever include, but "Resurrection-Embalmed Existence" is my number one....these others in no particular order; "Paralysis-Patrons to the Dark" and "Viogression-Expound and Exhort" and "Goatlord-S/T" and "Impetigo-Horror of the Zombies"
EMBALMED EXISTENCE is definately in my top 5. Maybe my outright favorite. Dont hear much props at all out there about that masterpiece. SINISTER cross the Styx and SOLSTICE self titled. Those are my " why dont people talk about these awesome fucking releases?" List.
top 10 in no particular order (1 band - 1 album) Morbid Angel - Blessed are the Sick Nile - In Their Darkened Shrines Deicide - Deicide Death - Spiritual Healing Suffocation - Human Waste Immolation - Majesty and Decay Obituary - Cause of Death Cannibal Corpse - Kill Vader - The Beast Cryptopsy - None So Vile
За последние пару месяцев видел уже несколько роликов разных авторов на тему "10 (или 20) лучших альбомов Death Metal", и почти ни в одном из них не находил Autopsy, хотя это группа невероятно знаковая и мощная.
Everything by my favourite band Dying Fetus! They are true masters of their craft! Most of Kataklysym kick ass too! Also Ingested, Benighted, Sepsism, Dyscarnate, Carcass (Heartwork) and Fear Factory (Soul of a New Machine) are masterpieces
1. Arghoslent - Incorrigible Bigotry 2. Arghoslent - Hornets of the Pogrom 3. Arghoslent - Galloping Through the Battle Ruins 4. Arghoslent - Arsenal of Glory
Even though I listen to Grenadier more (because… y’know, the lyrics), I will not deny the power of their guitar riffs. The title tracks to both their 2002 album and their 2008 album are killer instrumental-only songs (even if the song titles are very ignorant, to put it lightly).
@@wheelsofmercury the riffs are decent, but for me at least not worth the moral compromise. if people want to listen to them, that's fine (no cancel culture). but choosing four of their albums as the best ever death metal albums, surely not....?
some of my favorites (not counting opeth because they are more prog) any gorguts album (obscura best dm album full stop) imperative imperceptible impulse by ad nauseam Annihilation of the wicked by nile abyssal gods by imperial triumphant hatred for mankind by dragged into sunlight heartwork by carcass death atlas by cattle decapitation
Carcass - Heartwork Nile - any of first three Pyrexia - System of the Animal Sinister - Aggressive Measures Dismember - Death Metal Arkhon Infaustus - Hell Injection Dying Fetus - Killing On Adrenaline Immolation - Unholy Cult
I mostly listen to BM but easily my favourite DM album is Azarath - Blasphemers' Maledictions (probably because of its black metal influences). You listened to it once on a stream. The vocals are just insane.
All the albums are in the description and heres the Link to jusitns vid ua-cam.com/video/DWap1TwUJE4/v-deo.html&ab_channel=JustinHorval

Superb list. No Obituary and Entombed is a surprise though.
Legion can't be better than Deicide in EVERY single way. It doesn't have Sacrificial Suicide, or Dead by Dawn or Oblivious to Evil...
Well they are all killer songs and it’s obviously not better in every way that’s just me over exaggerating but still prefer legion and once upon the cross overall
Deicide's debut is arguably the finest death metal album ever released. Has also stood the test of time remarkably well.

9.Bloodbath - Resurrection Through Carnage
10.Grave - Into the Grave

Q-Dawg
Scream Bloody Gore can’t possibly be anyones fav death metal album, ffs. Every single Immolation record is better
Decrepit Birth is my latest death metal discovery I've been getting into. Particularly the "Polarity" album. And I'd need to have a Dying Fetus album in my top 20, probably "Reign Supreme".
Yep, I also think Anthropocene is Cattle's best album. More inspired, varied and memorable compared to their later albums imo
where the hell are the physical discs? 😡👎
My top 20 Death Metal Albums would be
1 Cannibal Corpse - Tomb Of The Mutilated
2 Incantation - Onward To Golgotha
3 Deicide - Decide
4 Morbid Angel - Alters Of Madness
5 Mortician - Hacked Up For Barbque/ Zombie
6 Nunslaughter - Goat
7 Immolation - Majesty And Decay
8 Death - Scream Bloody Gore
9 Dying Fetus - Wrong One To Fuck With
10 Devourment - Butcher The Weak
11 Fulci - Tropical Sun

16 Phobophillic - Enveloping Absurdity
17 Sinister - Diabolical Summoning
18 Vital Remains - Icons Of Evil

20 Burial - Divinity Through Eradication
Excellent list, man! Here's mine, mostly heavy on the classic stuff and has quite a lot of overlap with yours
1. Bolt Thrower - Those Once Loyal
2. Death - Scream Bloody Gore
3. Sepultura - Beneath the Remains
4. Obituary - Cause of Death
5. Cannibal Corpse - Butchered at Birth

18. Hypocrisy - Virus
19. Unleashed - Across the Open Sea
The best list I have seen so far in these comments.
1.Obituary Slowly We Rot
2.Morbid angel Alters of madness
3.Carcass Heartwork

Your top 10 Death Metal Bands video would be great, Questy🤘
First...great list Questy.
Those are my " why dont people talk about these awesome fucking releases?"
List.
@@saltpeter7429 Brilliant! Cheers and Salutations!
you should out Mortification, their a great Death Metal band.
Yes they are so good they got me into christian metal
Dogshit gospel music
top 10 in no particular order (1 band - 1 album)
Morbid Angel - Blessed are the Sick
Nile - In Their Darkened Shrines
Deicide - Deicide
Death - Spiritual Healing
Suffocation - Human Waste
Immolation - Majesty and Decay
Obituary - Cause of Death
Cannibal Corpse - Kill
Vader - The Beast
Cryptopsy - None So Vile
The first two Cryptopsy albums are absolutely amazing.
Mental funeral is so fucking good
За последние пару месяцев видел уже несколько роликов разных авторов на тему "10 (или 20) лучших альбомов Death Metal", и почти ни в одном из них не находил Autopsy, хотя это группа невероятно знаковая и мощная.
Right on! The inclusion of SOUL OF A NEW MACHINE makes me happy.
I think that's a death metal classic as well, it never gets any mention.
My first EP: ua-cam.com/video/ISBFbRzhTcI/v-deo.html
1. Arghoslent - Incorrigible Bigotry
2. Arghoslent - Hornets of the Pogrom
3. Arghoslent - Galloping Through the Battle Ruins
4. Arghoslent - Arsenal of Glory
Prefer galloping myself and that’ll make it on the melodeath list 😉
Trying too hard Dean.
@@spencergrady5501 Mr Grady… you were the caretaker here.
Wheres obituary dude
what about obituary?

Dying Fetus - Killing On Adrenaline
Immolation - Unholy Cult
Blessed are the sick is the best Morbid Angel album
I mostly listen to BM but easily my favourite DM album is Azarath - Blasphemers' Maledictions (probably because of its black metal influences). You listened to it once on a stream. The vocals are just insane.
Ahab !!!!!!!!!!!
