It's not boring at all. It's perfect, straight to the point for a person who is looking for an answer and not looking for a bunch of fillers. Thank you
You rock! Had no idea why ours had stopped making ice,and even after getting it to empty the tray it wasn't refilling. But I just followed the steps and listened. Could hear the tray going through motions twice, then it filling again. Hallelujah! It's stupidly hot here and we NEED the ice! So again, you rock! I wish I'd have known it was that easy before!
Bro! You are a lifesaver! I just joined a company in a new role and I was about to cry when they mentioned the ice tray not working! I wish I could shake your hand! ❤😂

Not just money wise , but trying to get an appliances trade person is like trying to see the pope !!!!!! Godbless and thankyou sooooo ever much ! Great demonstration David. Quick question, I've ordered a new ice tray for this model and would like to know how to install it without taking the whole assembly out. Is this possible? The motor rotates, water fills up and the sensor is good. My problem is when the tray rotates it falls into the ice bucket and I can't open the door. Thanks
Thanks for the video. Our ice is filling but not tipping into the ice bucket. Any suggestions for what I can try before I make a service call to Fisher and Paykel?
@@chrstofuchaoswe had to get the technician out. The plastic container had bent out of shape over time and needed replacing. 10 minute job, works great again now. How old is your fridge?
Really helpful video, thank you. Could I ask what you are doing with your right arm. Are you holding the drop down lever in a specific position? Also, my tray is full of ice and semi rotated but not dropping the ice. I’m thinking of using a hairdryer to remove that load and then starting again with the reset you have described. Any better ideas?
Thanks for the feedback… only holding the lever so that I could see the tray rotating. I don’t think the ice tray rotates if it thinks the Ice bucket has been removed. I think a hair dryer might be a good move 👍
Holding the arm was only for demonstration purposes. Make sure your ice tray is fitted and have the freezer door closed. You should be able to hear the ice tray rotating even when the door is closed.
Apologies for such a boring video! You just saved another Australian a call out fee of around $200! good laugh at all the same comments that have appeared before - sometimes boring is fantastic!

Very helpful, thank you. Reset mine exactly how you showed.
Life saver, this fixed our issue! 😮
Thanks, had no idea how to do this - helped me fix ours, in the end all that was required was a good blast with the hairdryer around the icemaker.
Might have to try that next, ours stopped working well over a year ago and fridge is only 4 yrs old

Did you figure this out? Ours turns slightly and goes right back. Doesn't drop ice at all unfortunately.

When I hold the arm in the freezer it’s still not rotating, am I doing something wrong?
