Also, it'd be SO useful if you could do a video about York, Leeds and Manchester (individually or in one video up to you) where you talk about what you thought about the unis, what you liked, what was unique and why you didn't end up choosing them. I would apply to bath but they don't have my degree but York, Leeds and Manchester do so it'd really be lifesaving haha
I really needed this video last year! I wasted an open day completely that I travelled for hours to go to but it was 31 degrees so I just literally gave up. I also just didn't make the most of my time at some of the others at all and I really regret it as it probably clouded my judgement but yes, such a useful video x
Would love it if you could do a video about your open day experiences at those unis! I'm really interested as to why you chose those universities specifically? What made you select them and not others? I've been to Manchester and Leeds so far and planning to go to Bath, Bristol and Edinburgh and possibly a few more if the dates don't overlap, but don't really know which ones to go for (never really thought of Surrey and York as actual options, might go and see if I like it now)
I really would love to do open days but since I live in the usa it's difficult and expensive to get to the UK when there are open days. I'm hoping that when I go in october the unis will make some sort of exception and show me around anyways
+heyitsbea ah yeah of course that's definitely a trek! Yes of course they will, I know that if you email them they'll happily organise for someone to take you round and you'll get to see the uni on a normal day which is so useful x
Hey I visited bath yesterday and loved it and saw one of your videos that brought me here and I love your videos it has given me an insight into bath uni and I hope to go there next year xx
I went to bath uni open day today and saw you!!! Gosh, I was like, "mum!!! That's the girl I told you about, this is the accommodation I showed you!!!" Great video thank you, Felicity xx
I came to bath yesterday and loved it! I went to quads but only the football was on the screens (I had to drag my dad away to look at the rest of the accommodation!)
+Stella Johnson I'm glad you liked it! I think my video was only on during the Friday open day haha! If you have any questions that weren't answered feel free to ask x
Noo Stenning I did have one question, where do you buy food? Do you go into town to get stuff? I'm considering biochem or natsci so your videos are so useful thank you x
+Stella Johnson most people get food delivered because it's so much easier! You just do it as a flat :) some people went into town but honestly ordering online was the best way 👍ah fab!x
I went to Bath today and absolutely loved it!! Are you thinking of doing a placement year in the course as all the Biochem people seemed to try and push it?? Xx
+olivia wilson I'm glad! I'm not sure yet to be honest, if something comes up in an area I want to work in then yes :) they do seem like they push it but when you actually get here they're far more relaxed about it! I think having excellent industry links is one of their good qualities so they push it an open days x
Hey, I'm Carina from China. I'm gonna further my study at uni of bath this September. I've noticed that you're the secretary of BUSMS. Hopefully I could be a member of that society as well. And I really appreciate all your videos here! :)
In your first year on this course, have you had to experiment on or dissect animals? I know it is a biochemistry course, but I was wondering if this has been part of any of your modules.
Thanks for this video Noo, I'm currently in the process of trying to pick a uni so this was really helpful! I went to the bath open day on Friday and absolutely fell in love with the place- it's really annoying because the actual uni itself was perfect but I don't like the look of the sociology course there 😔 What did u think of York when you visited there? Did it have a similar vibe to Bath? The vibe in Bath was exactly the kind of vibe I'm looking for! xx
+Amira M I'm really glad you liked it, that's a shame about the course though :( I don't know much about sociology I'm afraid! I personally really disliked York campus but LOVED the city, the city is very similar to Bath but bigger! The campus however felt different vibe wise and I met some unfriendly people on the open day...however I know people who love it there! Bath to me had a very unique vibe which is why it's hard to say it's similar to anywhere else. Maybe I was being fussy, it's probably not too dissimilar Let me know if you have any other questions!xx
Noo Stenning Thanks for the reply!Xx I'm planning on visiting York next week, so it's good to know that at least the city is nice lol! I know what you mean about the unique vibe in Bath- it's the 4th uni I've visited and it felt very different to all the others! It's been such a struggle because in all the places I've visited, I haven't been able to find a uni where I really like both the course and the place itself...the courses in Exeter and Leeds look great but I didn't like the unis themselves as much as I liked Bath :(
+Amira M hope you enjoy your visit! That's a difficult decision, have you been on the website for Bath and looked at the very detailed module breakdown because I know those are available?! Maybe you'll see more you like x
I've looked at Surrey and thought it was such a gorgeous place. Then I looked at Brighton today, yikes, wouldn't recommend folks unless you're fine with living in a slum for 3 years.
I agree, I went and saw sussex and no offence to anyone there but I found Brighton so grotty with litter everywhere and run down shops, it's ridiculously busy too I could barley walk on the path. I personally can't understand how anyone considers Brighton a nice place live.
+randomsheep11 to be fair a lot of unis have that many people to a small kitchen, it's all about how clean you make it! But thanks for sharing your thoughts on Brighton for people who might be considering it x
Yeah, I know myself theres usually about 12 people sharing but the kitchen and rooms I saw in Sussex were very very small. It was the first Uni i visited so I was like oh okay that's smaller than I thought but I guess this is the norm so it's fine and then I went to York and I was amazed at the size difference for the kitchen and rooms and this was standard accommodation. It felt like going from an almost 3 star hotel to a 5 star. I don't think any other Uni i visit could have smaller accommodation than Sussex.
Hey your videos are so helpful! Would you recommend going to applicant days as well as open days? I was just wondering how different they were from regular open days, since I’m going to the Bath applicant day for Biology in February.
+sophie they aren’t super different in terms of information they give you but it’s the chance to see the uni on a normal day vs open day, plus you’ll get to see more of it :) I would go if it isn’t too much hassle! It may mean if you miss your grades they’ve seen you which I’ve heard helps
+sophie I did I had a mock tutorial! It was a bit scary but ultimately you still have your offer haha! They’re a good taste of academic stuff at uni and they don’t last long x
+Ellys Fowler overall it's very bustling! It's right in all the action so it feels very busy. The accommodation is a bus ride away which I didn't like, lots of the buildings have been done up so the library is fab, overall I just didn't want to be in a city like London again when London has more if that makes sense?
Hey , I’ll be joining bath on sept , but I won’t be able to visit the uni , unless I get there for when the uni starts , as I live in Dubai . My parents are gonna stay in bath for few days to set my dorm room etc . How long do u think my parents need to stay to set up my dorm room etc and do other formalities . They r planning to stay for a week , is tht too long ?
+Sruthi Chakra I set up my room in a few hours haha and then just tidied bits and bobs over the next week or so. A week is probably too long but if you're coming all the way from Dubai they probably don't want to come for shorter x
+Skylar Jackson Leeds looked like a FAB uni, the facilities were amazing and it felt like they really cared about students. However the vibe wasn't for me and I didn't like actual Leeds because it felt like London minus the bits I like haha!x
+PabbuZuko 01 ohh right! It honestly University dependent so I couldn't say sorry, for example some unis told me I could drop 2 and some said I couldn't drop any! That's why you need to go to the talks yourself and find out what the situation is for your course and your year

+heyitsbea I'm thinking about doing that this summer 👍
Noo Stenning yay thank you!!!
I’m actually loving the down to earth personality you have going on, such a rare thing to find on YT (for me anyways) x
+Emily Stuart ❤️
I never visited bath but it looks a great uni, I’m at Aston uni. Xx
this was so helpful, thank you. and i love your energy ! 💙
I really needed this video last year! I wasted an open day completely that I travelled for hours to go to but it was 31 degrees so I just literally gave up. +Emily Hilson aw that's such a shame! Hope you still ended up somewhere good/had a good year hahah!x
Would love it if you could do a video about your open day experiences at those unis! I'm really interested as to why you chose those universities specifically? +xJuulszz I think I will do a video on them! Those sound like good choices x
I really would love to do open days but since I live in the usa it's difficult and expensive to get to the UK when there are open days. I'm hoping that when I go in october the unis will make some sort of exception and show me around anyways

+Turner James awww that's so cool! Hope you had a good day x
This is so useful, thank you, im looking forward to be going to university in the next year or so x
I’d love a video about your thoughts on Surrey University
I was at Bath Open Day and saw 'you' in the Quads lounge!
+Nadia H ah cool! Hope you enjoy your day x
I came to bath yesterday and loved it! I went to quads but only the football was on the screens (I had to drag my dad away to look at the rest of the accommodation!)

+Gracie great choices, enjoy!
I am hopefully coming to Bath in September depending on how A levels have gone! So excited
+Matt Reading ah you should be it's fab! Good luck
Love ur videos 💖
Noo stenning. Would you able to record your campus?
It wasn't just the lounge love, but every single room they had open haha!
+Amber craziness haha, I saw that after I filmed the video 😂
Great video!!

In your first year on this course, have you had to experiment on or dissect animals? I know it is a biochemistry course, but I was wondering if this has been part of any of your modules.
+Elena Ball nope! I know other unis have (which I find odd for biochem in first year...) but we didn't have any, phew haha X
Thanks so much for letting me know! :)

Aimee Gardner I agree it's sooooo grim 😷 even the student accommodation was dirty (ugh especially the tiny kitchen that 12 students have to share omg)
+randomsheep11 to be fair a lot of unis have that many people to a small kitchen, it's all about how clean you make it! But thanks for sharing your thoughts on Brighton for people who might be considering it x

+sophie I did I had a mock tutorial! It was a bit scary but ultimately you still have your offer haha! They’re a good taste of academic stuff at uni and they don’t last long x
Anyone go to Uni of Birmingham open day today?? (23/06)
Will you be helping out on the bath summer school?
+sc07 not this year no!x
I couldn’t get to the Manchester open day, but how was it overall?
+Ellys Fowler overall it's very bustling! It's right in all the action so it feels very busy. *LIKED VIDEO AND I HAVEN'T EVEN WATCHED YET*
Hi :)
i'm curious to know, what would happen if you dropped your grade in the talk that it was situated in..?
+PabbuZuko 01 not sure entirely what you mean?
+PabbuZuko 01 ohh right! It honestly University dependent so I couldn't say sorry, for example some unis told me I could drop 2 and some said I couldn't drop any! That's why you need to go to the talks yourself and find out what the situation is for your course and your year
oh okay, thank you for the videos, i will definitely keep a mental note of this
Why tf am I watching this I’m still in grade 8
