Right so I forgot 2 things well done Noo... 1) Join the group chat of your flat before you go and start chatting to break the ice a little! They can normally be found on the freshers page on Facebook for your uni! 2) This video seems to be useful for people starting Sixth Form too, so feel free to share it with your friends/siblings/dogs starting Sixth Form as well as uni xx
Literally just found your channel and cannot explain how helpful you have been, I have basc watched all of the uni videos and just find your videos so refreshing and full of positive energy. Thank you so much xx
Making friends in sixth form is something I’m actually soooo worried about, the tips in this video are really helpful and Im definitely going to try them - your makeup is incredible btw 😊
I'm actually going to an induction day next week at a new 6th form. I'm hoping to go to that school so I want to make new friends but I'm worried as. I'm not too shy but I guess I'm more worried for 1) no one speaking to me because they already have their own friend groups and 2) approaching someone and them judging me for approaching them and 3) standing alone. I mean the year group will have decreased by half, so theres gonna be a lot less people, I think around 60 or so. But I'm just so nervous to even walk in on the first day ...
I’m starting uni in 2022 as I’m repeating yr12 I’m planning and hoping to go to UON, ccu ( cantberury uni) and derby uni to do occupational therapy and i have always been so scared to meet new people and make new friends so I’m still worried about that. With all your helpful advice I have managed to come out of my shell and start to meet new people and make new friends
I'm going into year 13 but I still found this so useful! This makes me excited to start uni soon (Bath is also my top choice uni), and I also liked how you gave very specific advice on making friends!:)
Hi Noo, I just started my college that not a lot of people from my school enrolled at and I’m already 3 days in however I’ve made only one friend and we don’t always have the same breaks or lunches always :/ everyone seems to be sticking to their comp friends which makes it quite difficult since I feel like I’m literally on my own boat in college rn :/ I haven’t had many opportunities to talk to people in my lessons and I don’t share any w other people I recognise:( idk how I can make friends that I’ll be able to hang out w at lunch etc cause I currently only have one person however we won’t always be together:/
+Vic ah that sounds tough, is there any sort of after school things you can join- sports drama etc? The only thing I can suggest is trying to make friends with an already established group, sometimes they need a new face so will be happy to include you! X
what foundation do you use?? your skin always looks so amazing!! (I also love your videos I just found your videos and I'm going to bath this year so these videos are making me less scared thank you)
+Will Underwood I'll be vlogging more next semester so you'll see in that! The social life depends on what societies you're in/what you do with your friends though :)
i go to bath too and thought the wristbands were a waste because if you don't want to go to every event you can just pay for each event separately, I got the cheaper wristband and only went to two events and they weren't the best, the more expensive wristband has better events but too pricy, just pay for each event separately i would say, sorry if its too late now though
I did Cheer, Yoga, Musicals in my first year! Then picked musicals as my main one because I was on the committee so it was a lot of time taken up haha I would recommend trying anything you enjoy currently and then a couple new ones! Personally preferred the vibe of societies to sports teams but it totally depends on you x
+Lucinda I'm not sure there is a hockey club unless I'm mistaken? I think all sports operate under "sports" and all clubs under "societies" so there's rarely 2 of the same eg there's no yoga team it's just a society x
Hey I am coming to bath in 3 weeks and i chose quads as my accommodation !! i just wanted to know if u make friends even if u aren't tht into drinking and partying all the time ( ESPECIALLY DURING FRESHERS ) ? because a lot of ppl tell tht if u arent a huge fan of all tht ,its gonna be hard to socialise .
+Sruthi Chakra I think you'll be ok if you still involve yourself even if you aren't drinking! So if everyone is having a pre in the kitchen go and sit with them anyway, there's also loads going on in the day so make sure you go and do those things with people :)
Noo Stenning Thanks and yeah I agree! I'm quite extroverted when I get to know the person so I'm different and more comfortable with my friends of course x
Hey Noo, been watching your vids for some time now 😁. Just wondering if I should try and start a UA-cam channel, and wanted to see how much money you made on average per video. I don't want to be spending like 3 hours making, editing and uploading a video if I am going to make 15p on it 😂. Love your channel and informative content BTW
+FishyIsHere unfortunately that's how UA-cam works and you really shouldn't think of it like that because if you're enjoying making content then it shouldn't matter how much you make? It will take 3-4 hours to do a decent video and most people don't make any money for a long time, even when they do no one uses ad sense as a source of income because it tends to be low. Start a channel if you want to actually make videos, its not a good sign if you don't want to upload simply because you aren't making money. Good luck though if you start, thank you for your support

+Joanna F I'm so glad!x
Do a video on the Bath uni social life. Like what is there to do ?
+Will Underwood I'll be vlogging more next semester so you'll see in that! The social life depends on what societies you're in/what you do with your friends though :)
where is that photo / painting of waves from ? love it x
+Maddie Mills thank you! It's actually my parents' and I think they got it at an auction sorry x
So helpful considering I'm coming to Bath Uni in 3 weeks!😬
+Eve Parker aw good luck starting!
Would you say to buy the freshers' wristband? I don't want to waste my money as it's quite expensive but also don't want to be left out! X
+Chocoholic xx I personally would, at Bath at least! I really enjoyed everything that came with it x
Noo Stenning Thanks so much! X
i go to bath too and thought the wristbands were a waste because if you don't want to go to every event you can just pay for each event separately, I got the cheaper wristband and only went to two events and they weren't the best, the more expensive wristband has better events but too pricy, just pay for each event separately i would say, sorry if its too late now though
+aliyaidk good point, I guess it depends on the person/people you’re with
Thanks very much. I really don't have friends and I need to cry 😭
Hey Noo, did u join any flat group chats etc prior to starting uni?
+I H yes I did! I should have mentioned that haha, I joined my floors group chat on facebook the I found via the uni facebook x
hiya, what societies and sports teams did you join/recommend?Xx
I did Cheer, Yoga, Musicals in my first year! Then picked musicals as my main one because I was on the committee so it was a lot of time taken up haha
I would recommend trying anything you enjoy currently and then a couple new ones! Personally preferred the vibe of societies to sports teams but it totally depends on you x
Noo Stenning thank you! x
what societies did u join??
+Hello 123 Yoga, Biosciences, Musicals (the best!), and Cheerleading but that's a sports team x
Just a quick question, if I joined a sports society e.g. hockey and then the hockey club too, what is the difference between the two?
+Lucinda I'm not sure there is a hockey club unless I'm mistaken? I think all sports operate under "sports" and all clubs under "societies" so there's rarely 2 of the same eg there's no yoga team it's just a society x

+Sruthi Chakra ❤️
I kind of wish I was moving out because as you said, people don't really talk in lectures 🙈😱😭👌
+Serina T just make sure you try and talk whenever you can and join clubs etc!
Noo Stenning I will try but ngl that's hard for a shy , anxious person like myself 🙈
+Serina T understandable, but the more you can put yourself out there the better and it'll help with that too x
Noo Stenning Thanks and yeah I agree!
I'm quite extroverted when I get to know the person so I'm different and more comfortable with my friends of course x
Serina T omg what happened then ?? I haven’t moved out so I’d really like your tips
