Oh man, wingnuts are genius. The black knobs drive me nuts. Thanks!

You are very welcome Scot and thank you for watching and commenting. I have not tried the black knobs as I decided to stay with the wing 🥜 so thank you for sharing your input here in the thread. 🙏

Thanks man. And I just build my second rod ever, the first one I did was at the mud hole rod building class down in the Houston area. I just subscribed to your UA-cam channel.

My new wrapper gas 2 tension rods that are made of .039 music wore. Is a game changer from the CRB tension rod. My rod bends at 90 degrees but it does not bounce up and down. It delivers medium light tension and the spools turn smoothly. Light years better than CRB. I still have my CRB but have not used since I received my new wrapper. I am going to replace my CRB tension rod with the music wire. Very inexpensive upgrade. Will let you know how that turns out. Love the vid.

I use the tension rod only to keep the thread tight if I have to turn the rod backward to correct some problem with the thread in the blank to keep it tight, but I use a heli arc 1/8 stainless rod to stop the tension rod in front of it

Had the G2 don’t like the chuck or the thread carriage . I broke down and bought the Renzetti love it but I added the crb controller and foot pedal and a iron dryer motor

Thank you for sharing George and it sounds like a lot of people are not very fond and f the CRB G2 power wrapper.
