@@a10. I thought it was a problem on my PC, hahaha.
I've done thus succesfully before due to some advice in the comments section and I don't see it anymore so I'll just repeat what it said. With one cup of sugar add one tablespoon of lemon juice and one tablespoon of water. Next boil it on low to medium heat until the colour that she show happens. You can then take a large plate instead if a marble counter and wet the plate and pour the hot wax onto there and play with it with your spoon until it is cool enough to touch (it should still be relatively hot) And then play around with the wax in your hands until the colour she shoes comes up
+Jenny Shin What about the salt?
thanks
can this be used for facial hair??
+Perla Huerta yup
i tried to make this 2 times yesterday but it didn't work out like Maha's :( I used brown sugar tho, does it have to be white sugar?
I'm Armenian and this is the precise way I wax!! My Armenian mother was born in Israel so she learned a lot from you Arabians
I'm Armenian too! Barev 😀
Mariam M Parev!!! :)
Palestine not Israel 😒
Samer Farhan ....you are assuming wrongfully. Stop that. It's not about sides. It's about facts. My mother was born in Haifa, Israel, but she is full 100% Armenian. It's rude that you tried to "correct" me when you don't know the facts of MY story. Screw sides, picking sides creates wars. I just love how we all any generation, have adopted this ancient waxing
Sheso Madeline it's easy to say "don't pick sides" when you're on the side that's obviously stronger and has all the advantages... Samer was right, it's Palestine. Israel did not exist until fairly recently and is existing now only because of illegal occupation. If you want people to live peacefully, you need to accept the facts.
I wanted to say thank you very much, you don't know how much your lessons meant to me.
Not just the speaking lessons but things liek the waxing.
I am half arabien, my father was arabien, but as I was born and grew up in europe and my father already has passed away I didn't know anything about him and never had a person to talk about those kind of well curiousity.
It may sound wrong but well removing hair like maybe my cousin I never will be able to meet do, it make sme kidn of proud to well live a little bit of my roots I never got to live.
So thank you very much ♥
I DID IT!!! IT TOOK ME 3 TRIES!
-Okay, use 1 tbs and 1 tsp of water, no more.
-do not take it off the stove too early, let it brown a bit. (Bout a min or 2 after It starts yellowing)
-I put it on a wet plate. Do NOT put too much water!!! Only coat it a little!
-play with hot wax with spoon for about 10-15 min. Should be quite quite firm.
-wet hands ONCE AND DO NOT KEEP GLOBING WATER ON YOUR HANDS BECAUSE THEN IT WILL LOSE IT'S CONSISTENCY. Eventually, it will start to dry while you're kneading it!
So you used 1tbs of sugar and 1tbs of water?that's it? Or did you also use other ingredients?
When I did it, i played with it that time around too, but when I put it on my hands, it got all messy, and I had it all over... although it looked pretty sticky... ?! :/
Thanks :)
I've tried, like 10 times and it never works!!! And my husband keeps trying to eat it lol.
But when I knead it, I very lightly wet my hands with water everytime I feel the wax start sticking too much, and after about 5 minutes, it just starts melting and I can't do anything for it...I just have to wash it off and try again :(.
If I don't wet my hands, the wax sticks too much and I can't knead it....so, I don't know what else to do :(.
***** i think lemon;]
Watched this video years back and come again but now with no sound ):
Shakirah Rashid same here
copyrightcrap from the youtubes and sony and their evil ilk
Shakirah Rashid yea, same here. This recipe is an Arabic recipe, I don't see why it's copy right. That's like someone posting a tamales recipe and them taking it down for infringing copy rights. How? It's a freaking recipe. Plus it works!
She probably had copyrighted music. It's always the music...
Shakirah Rashid actually I think she did it herself because she wants you to hear her infomercial video first which is almost 3 minutes very annoying
Made this came out perfect. Few tip
1. Constantly stir no stopping.
2 . Made mine in Arabic raqwe small pot used for Turkish coffee nonstick
3. Follow the recipe.
4. I used parchment paper / wax paper no mess and easy to clean
5. Don't over cook = hard cardy
6. Wet your hands when forming the ball kneed for 2 minutes
7. Take small piece off to work with. Don't add water gets way to sticky. Instead if the wax is hard or tough lick 1 finger and kneed some more . :) turns white and soft when ready apply and then wait it will harden a little then remove per instructions
Hope these tips help.
Here is a recipe/method that won't leave you with a sticky mess!!
Recipe:
2 cups sugar, 3/4 water, 2 teaspoons lemon juice.
Method:
1. Mix together, stir until golden brown on medium heat (20-30mins)
2. pour into a baking dish (ceramic or silicone). LEAVE for about 10mins. DO NOT HANDLE HOT WAX. DO NOT USE WATER.
3. After it has a thicker consistency, use a metal spoon and stir as much as possibly into a circle within the dish. Keep stirring until it starts getting a bit lighter in colour.
4. With your finger, test if the top of your wax circle is hot. Keep stirring if it is. If not, take a small piece from the top and stretch it out like Maha did (it will be the same/similar colour as her end product). Keep taking more wax from the circle until you are left with none. DONE! :)
5. If you are left with with more wax in the dish that is too hard, microwave it and follow the same steps as above. Use and store as Maha did (re-usable, wrap in plastic, keep in the fridge and use again).
THUMBS UP SO MORE PEOPLE WILL SEE THIS :)
p.s no disrespect to the beautiful Maha, your recipe just didn't work for me :( I found my way worked better for me.
Yep... i try her recipe and didnt work sadly
not 2cup but one cup
Your method is a life saver! Thanks xx
3/4 cup of water?
Sugar, white or brown (1 cup)
Water (2 Tbsp or 1/2 cup)
Lemon juice (1.5 Tbsp)
Salt, optional (1 tsp)
Nancy Medellin two table spoons and 1/2 cup are two VERY different measurements.
Tell me clear 2spn or half
Hands down the best tutorial. I got a great consistency on the first try. Thank you so much! I was able to do a Brazilian wax myself and it got all the coarse hair off. I tried using nair before and that wasn't getting the coarse hair out in first try. I was doubting whether this would be strong enough to remove my very very coarse hair and it did. It was painful, but that is expected and it did the job. Used very little wax and it was mess free. I am so so happy. It is going to save me a lot of money. I had to say something.
For those who end up with a melty mess: two hints! First get the temp of the mix to 250-260 ( use candy thermometer) also, I have had success pouring the mix into a thick glass bowl, let cool about an hour or hour and a half it will be cool enough to play with but will really work well! Also 2 cups sugar, 1/4 cup water and 1/4 cup lemon juice (I don't use the salt) good luck!
Absolutely best recipe for sugar paste. 200gr sugar half lemon 3 tablespoon water teaspoon salt, works every time and belive me i try several recipe and most of them fails at least once. Thank you Maha. :D
For anybody who is having trouble with this try using less water! I tried this same recipe multiple times and each time found I had added too much water so I used less and less water each time. Eventually I ended up using a tiny bit and it ended up great! If you have troubles use less water and it should work!
I learned so much even with NO SOUND! I wish the issue with the sound could get fixed. Thank you
Wow! Your are absolutely right and really your this feedback is very nice & most important for each one this video viewers.
I've tried to make this so many times and I have never gotten it right until now. I am so excited! More than the instructions (which were very vague, by the way) it was the watching you do it and that I finally learned to not let it cool down too much before start kneading it. Thanks!
Watching you stir that sugar in a Teflon frying pan with a metal spoon gave me a heart attack...
Anthony Moala lol my mom always freaked out when I did that as a kid.
Brave, Bold, Beautiful why? Whats wrong about doing this?
InspirationNation it’s not good for your health google it
Maybe you could just tell her that .
InspirationNation the coating will come off 🤦🏻♀️
What I got from the comments is .... If it doesn't work it make a great snack lmao
Yah! Lol
same lol
I once made sugar wax and it just stayed runny and it was getting messy so I just wiped on my legs... Then I realized that I had no strips so I sat in the bath for an hour omg.
You can use paper
Jasmine Smith it wouldn't work
Daryn Herman you have to fold the paper to strengthen it. so that it does not rip or tear.
Use parchment paper
you don't need strips for this. just rip the wax off.
I tried it a day ago and it perfectly worked! Thank you for sharing this!
I tried it for the first time and it worked!! Idk if it was just luck .. but it worked! seriously guys, all you have to do is follow the instructions and do everything she did, and it will work for you. I don't have marble counter so i used a large baking pan.. and if it gets stuck just use warm water and it'll come right out in seconds. :)
there's no sound can you write all the ingredients and exactly what you did in the description bar or in the comments please and thank you.
I love your attitude! You seem very upbeat and funny. Had to subscribe. Keep up the good videos
Here's a funny story, so I made this wax somehow my suger didn't disolve properly I realised this after it got cool, it doesn't sticks on my skin
Br
"So I start eating it" 😂😂😂 lol
أنيتا بنت دارل Yeah mine got the consistency of hard candy, so I ate some of it too, lol. I think what I did wrong was I didn't work the wax fast enough as it cooled.
FrequentFlier Anon I put it in a bowl of glass and drops of water then I preheat it by microwave for 20sec , and worked in it till the suger dissolve's properly and work with with a spoon or butter knife till it get cool enough on your skin...
Thanks! I'll try that
you saved my life, I just watched your video and tried it!
And it worked!!!!!!!!! awesome!
my never ending search for a safe wax is ended finally!!
my missed few secs attending the mixture and some of it turned hard on my counter, it really took less than 5 mins for me to prepare it.
Thank a million
Tried your recipe AND IT WORKED!!! Firs time and it is first recipe that worked for me! Thank you so much for sharing!
If i had to put boiling hot wax on my parent's granite marble they would probably murder me lol
+Summer K it's not hot when you use it , you only do that to prepare it but when you use it it's solidified and not hot
+Summer K My mother was FURIOUS with me when I put it on the granite.
Ladies, granite and marble are two different types of rock. I'm surprised that they'd be mad if you put it on their granite counter tops. The whole point of using granite instead of marble is that is much more difficult to damage than marble, which scratches easily (hence the fact that it's used for sculpting) and stains more quickly than granite. Temperature wise, neither rock is going to be damaged by boiling sugar paste (or sugar wax as it's called else where) - that's why it's used for kitchen applications in industrial kitchens used by patisseries and professional chocolate/candy makers.
With my imitation marble counter, I was concerned. Solution: glass cutting board with foil paper on top. Sure I lost a lot of the wax, but I was just doing my face hair and nothing was damaged:)
it cracked my marble plate 😢
Tip of advice when you make this wax. Use olive oil instead of water on the marble. It makes this process 10x easier lol
ATTENTION: To all those who failed doing this. Did it 4x, the first 3 tries I did it the way the vid. told me to, then the 4th try I did it my way. I waited until it turned red on the pan, coz if I took it out right after it turns golden yellow I noticed the sugar doesn't melt well, then I took it out. Don't wet it afterwards or rather wet your hands while touching it, I didn't even touch it, I just poured it down on a bowl and then played with it using my spoon until I know it wasn't that sticky/runny. Then I took a small piece of it to check if it's ok, then rolled it in my hands until it's the same texture as the vid. Now I was able to use it on my auntie.. XD
+Larkspur BM great tip after failind doing this i followed your advice and it worked..i did my first wax!!!!!!! thanks
Good to know.. XD ^_^ I seriously got frustrated when I kept following the vid. on my 3rd try I stopped making it for a while then decided to try for the 4th time on the weekend I was literally like "Screw the vid.! I'm doing it my way!!" *Rage face on!* no offense to the girl on the vid. I viewed other vids. as well.. so that's when I was perfectly able to make it.. and it's less messy for me.. and whenever I use the left over I put it on the microwave for 15-20 sec. XD
The first I made it I kept it on the stove for a really long time and it still didn't work. I guess it burned. I've made it three different times. fail
Did u do it my way? It should look like honey.. Like after it turned red/orange from yellow just take it out..
+Larkspur BM Like if it becomes golden brown?
After trying zillion other ways. ..I finally tried to make it your way. ..and it worked! yay! happy happy! Thank you so much!
THE ONLY RECIPE I'VE FOLLOWED THAT HAS EVER GONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME!
I found a copy of the video on some other website! Sorry someone stole your video, Maha, but the video with audio is here: tune.pk/video/2496194/arabic-wax-how-to-prepare-at-home-in-2-minutes
thank you
Thanks c:
purpleheart3000 it worked!!! 💯💯💯💯
Your a life saver
Thank u i found it helpful
Thank you!! I genuinely appreciate this video. It was very helpful and I love using this!! It is, as you said, the best :)
Yes It is the best :)
Halleluja. after 2 kg of sugar, 2kg of gas, swearing, cursing and wanting to murder someone, I managed to make te perfect sugarwax lump!!! You make it look so easy!!! BUT IT'S NOT :)
Monica Myklebust i tried 3 tims (les water every time) and still it didnt get enoghf hard :( can u tell what i miss ?
I am in that state right now, I juist dont seem to get it. :-(
+kakon orit me too! Mine got real soft and started falling threw my fingers! HUGE MESS
Reading your comment make my day...I can't help imagining your hard work...
You are my new favourite person.I had a flatmate previously who used to make this for me and I've never been able to replicate it well. And it doesn't hurt nearly as much as wax. Plus it's so much easier to do alone. Thank you!
thank you girl!!! You saved lot of my money that I used to spend on wax strips
So, what you're saying is...You can wax with home made taffy.
Those of u questioning why she called it "arabic wax". Arabic women have been practicing this for years n years. As she said, this is how they rid of unwanted hair. Its not the wax itself that is Arabic, duh, Its the fact that they have been doing this for so long which justifies her referring to it as "Arabic". Chill out ppl, she trying to help out. Calm down!
I wish you would remkake this video!!!! this is the only recipe that turns out well and I can't hear your instructions :( waaahhhh
It is basically sugar, salt, like or lemon, and if u like u can add a bit of rose water
😂
Nareszcie ! ...na tysiące bzdurnych przepisów jak zagotować wodę z cukrem widzę od początku do końca cały etap zwieńczony dobrym ,skutecznym produktem. Dzięki
Finally, after four attempts I got it right this time :-D It has flawlessly worked out! The smaller amount of water you pour in, the better and easier to kneed.
Where do you mean? On the marble or in the mixture?
In the mixture may be
Hey girls!!!!!! I solved the big sticky-liquid wax problem!!!!! The key of all is THE LEMON JUICE!!!!! The lemon makes the sticky consistence. I tried with this variable:
--> Mix the sugar and salt with just 1 TBSP of water and 2 or 3 TBSP of lemon juice
Tania Carolina Vergara Ulloa Thank you!!!
what's TBSP ? please reply ☺
Tablespoon ;)
you won 🏆😆
How the hells do I clean this mess up easily?
Thank you so much! Israelda Imalia
Rae Rose make sure the water is pretty hot bcus if its cold it will harden the wax rather than soften it
Rae Rose You could rub talcum powder or starch on it until it absorbs all the fluid. I used starch, worked well for me. :)
Erendira Contreras ***** thanks ladies!
+Rae Rose I poured boiling hot water to melt it and then wiped away with a paper towel
Omg it tastes amazing loool
It works SO well - just did it - nice job! if you don't have marble, take a cold metal pizza plate. thanks Maha
I like this homemade one but if you live near an Arabic or middle eastern store you can buy already made sugar wax and it's so easy! You can keep it for as long as you want wherever you want and whenever you want to use it all you need to do is microwave it, it usually says how long you need need to microwave it for on the back, I'm pretty sure it also gives you instructions. My grandma always uses it! Hope this helped!
Please state the length of time you cooked the sugar and is it high medium or low heat the stove burner is on ???
I made it and it tastes good
I eat it at the end, its taste really sweet
Hhhhhh
Francesco Versace I sure hope you didn't eat it AFTER waxing, with all the hair and stuff :p
I have ti say the first time I made it, it came out just alike. I was happy that it took 2weeks to grow hair again
I finally made it work it took me about a dozen tries but I got it! LOL. What I did was use a frying pan or just a wide pan in general, used natural lemon or lime and cooked it for under 10 minutes medium heat, stirring it the whole time, and I used a cold ceramic plate I put in the freezer since I don't have a marble counter. My other tip, do not knead it with your hands! I mixed it with a spoon and when it got to hard I added bits of water in the wax an microwaved it again for like 10seconds. Then when it cools down a bit mixed it again with the spoon, wet my hands and made a small ball, squished it and stretched it a little to see if it would lay flat and wahla! Don't wait for the product to become white, when it does that means the product is of no use! Waxed myself when it was nice and golden and warm not hot and when I was done the ball changed into a greyish white. Always keep your hands moist not super wet and I be patient I swear. Or go on eBay and order a can of sugarpaste
I tried this and when I poured it onto my counter I couldn't get it off and it took me an hour to scrape it off and scrub it :/ I was panicking
Next time use a pie pan (Pyrex) and warm the pan a bit in warm water .before poring in the mixture This way the temperature difference isn't to great and the glass won't break. Keep trying, you'll get it right!
Soleil Magica
I'm sure they mean put the pan in the warm water to warm the pan, then pour the mixture in it, without the water in it.
Mine got stuck too, but with warm watter and a metal foam it came right out in minutes...
same for me
Lmfaooooooo this made me laugh so hard I'm sorry 😭😭😭 I once reheated it in my microwave and lasted days scrubbing
😳 There's no sound is there a possibility to redo the video?
I should really go to bed since I have to wake up in 6 hours
I know this as Sugaring and I do it all the time. 1/2 cup of half water half lemon juice and then 2 cup of sugar and that's it. I also cook it a little bit longer until it becomes a darker color (but not burnt). I skip all the rest of your steps and then just put it in a bowl for it to cool on it's own until I'm ready to use it.
Dear sister Maha, you are an amazing teacher, I adore your beauty and your teaching excellence. I respect you a lot. Allaah s.w.t has blessed you with all. Try to cover yourself. You are ♥
There's no sound coming out from the video just because it has copyrighted music-_-
If you don't have marble counters, what can you use?
use a plate
***** I make candy, which the recipe basically is making a candy. Wax Paper will stick to the candy. I have made that mistake. I pour candy onto parchment lined cookie sheet. Parchment paper will not stick. It's available in the U.S. in the baking aisle. You'll love it once you start using it. Use it for baking, roasting veggies, reheating pizza ... the best!
If u dont have a marble counter use a cooking pan yay
I use my Silpat.
How do you use it?
I have been looking for this recipe for years! Thank you for sharing !
This is an excellent recipe and I've been using it for quite some time now. It works very well for me. Thank you for making this video!
Well, by the time I finished kneading the wax, there was nothing left! It just melted away :( Wasted my time, my nails got ruined and I was left with dishes to wash. Maybe another time.
hahahaha funny
It took me two tries.. I added a little too much water the first time and it ended up just getting everywhere , just be sparing with the water I'm sure you'll get it!
I think I burnt it
you put way too much water :)
Hello Maha, love your video but I must be missing something. I tried 4 times in a row now, used almost a whole package of sugar haha the problem is that when I take the caramel in my hands to work it, instead of tightening up, it melts! any idea what that is? thanks in advance :) x
Me too :(
this exactly happened to me :( I don't know how to fix it
Hello! That means you just have to boil it a bit longer. This is basically a recipe for Caramel, and there can be hard or soft caramel depending on how long you cook it. So just cook it until it's a bit darker in your pan, maybe the color of honey.
I have cooked it darker too and it became a rock that I couldn't move haha. I just have to find a happy medium :)
+LearnArabicwithMaha you look exactly like iisuperwomanii
Omg I was gonna say the same thing
ushri
That's what i said
I thought it was her at first aswell🙆🏻
yaa i think she is super woman
After two tries I finally did it! :D
First time I used too much water and cooked it too quickly on a heat setting that was much too high..
Second try was perfect! Thank you so much for sharing this :)
It really dose work. I made it after I watched the video and it came out pretty good, I didn't have a marble counter so I used a glass baking dish and it worked out just fine, thanks Learn you just saved me a lot of money, now I can make my own wax at home.
LearnArabicwithMaha NAMASTE
I have followed your video and still I mess this up. I wish I could video chat to see where I go wrong lol. It keeps coming out loose and by the time it hardens its cold. Still won't get stiff. What are the time limit for working it stiff/supple?
Lidia Udrija I think about 2 min after it starts turning the caramel color. The last video I saw was more yield than this and they cooked it for 5-7 min o.O
What if you don't have a marble counter?
I've seen people use large ceramic plates as well as covered baking pans. :)
I used a glass pie pan.
That's a good idea, too.
I used a glass pan & the glass exploded with the temperature of the wax.
oh I better not try that.
Anyone know why mine didn't form a ball like hers? My wax harden but it wasn't hard enough to form a ball like hers in the video. Instead, it sticks all over both of my hands.
She covered the marble with a lot of oil
Made this a couple of years ago with this exact video. Worked great, tried a different one since youtube wont let the sound work and it sucked. Could you please write down the measurements for the ingredients. Thanks!
⭐I'VE TRIED SO MANY DIFFERENT WAYS... & YOUR WAY WAS THE FIRST ONE I TRIED... I TOTALLY FAILED!! IM GUESSING BECAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE THE MARBLE COUNTER... BUT I FINALLY FOUND AN EXTRA PIECE SOMEONE HAD... & I TRIED IT AGAIN... JUST NOW... LOL... AT 2AM... AND I GOT IT JUST RIGHT!! THANKS FOR THE TUTORIAL!! I LOVE IT!!⭐
I tried making this 3 times and each time it didn't work. I know i must be doing something wrong but I copied the video exactly. Maybe I just don't have the knack for it.
This is basically candy. If you are having your wax get too hard, you are cooking your sugar to too high of a temperature. If it is becoming goo in your hands, you are not cooking it high enough. You probably want it between the firmball and hardball stages. I'm not sure which one, but that will get you closer. If you look up candy making, it will describe what how your heated mixture responds when a small amount is dropped into cool water based on temperature. Try this. It has temperatures and descriptions for if you don't have a thermometer.
thermoworks.com/pdf/candy_temperature_chart.pdf
RIP frying pan.
Also, try not to eat it after you make it. The temptation is high.
+METALOZON please take a look at my sugaring video. It is easier and cleaner. look how my werewolf legs turned out to be so cleaaannn :D
+Hera Hutajulu I saw u comment this on I think Elkos video on sugar waxing
METALOZON 😂🤣😅 I know I was so distracted by her using a spoon on the pan I couldn't focus on the rest! I pray she doesn't use that pan 2 cook her food.
OMG! Thanks. Worked like a charm! I couldn't use my usual chemical hair remover because I decided to try threading for the first time tonight-- EPIC FAIL. The gal made it look so easy, but it wasn't working. Then, I did the sugar wax video that just happened to be a paid listing. My wax turned out as hard candy. Reheated it and watched your video. I'm finally ready for the weekend:)
Thank you, very helpful!!!! I tried it before with other videos but this was the only one that worked.
Sense No one can get this right how about you (the lady in the vid) just make huge jars of this stuff and sell it and make a business out if it.
mIchaela burton someone already doing that, its called 'Nads' sugar wax (although the ingredients have extra, and it is green gel looking stuff, but its just a commercial sugar wax). I am sure there would be other brands, that is just one I know off the top of my head :)
mIchaela burton it turned out great for me.
Maha please help! I've tried it three times and it is always really sticky! The only way i can remove it from my skin is washing it out! And my wax is not a light colour, it's caramel and sticky! I really want this to work and i need help
OMG I have the same problem, today I tried to make wax but it was as u say all sticky and had some caramel color, and now I don't know what to do with it. I don't want to throw it. I put it in the fridge but nothing different happened after I take it out. Maha please we need YOUR HELP now
When this happens with me i usually apply baby powder on it, it become more stiff and not too sticky
Nada Shawwa But what can i do if i want it to look like in the video? I followed all the steps but idk
Neither the baby powder helped me and at the end I threw it..
Erika Styles you have to cook it a little bit more, if it sticks to you its not ready yet
CAn you give me a link for the song pleaase?
I finally got around to making this today. ! My first try was a disaster the sugar was just mush...second time around I used about a tablespoon of water and kept it on a medium heat. It was working fine but strted to go a bit hard so put it in the mocrowave for a few seconds at a time and used a little water on my hands and it came out perfect , I think the biggest problem is the amount of water you put in. Good luck people
Hi Maha, Thanks for the video. I have never waxed before, as I’m not a hairy person but I’m 50 now & started to see a little shadow grow over my upper lip. I know others go to salons to get waxing on different parts of their body. So I wanted to try ur remedy for my lip. I worked great! YAAAAAAS! I’m 😊 happy. I know my granite counter could have tolerated the wax but I used a plate instead but it was fine & so is my lip. Afterwards I used a little aloe Vera leaf & Shea butter to sooth the area. It’s a little red but it feels fine. No more upper lip shadow here!😉😊👍🏽
wooowowowow lucky you!!! 50 and never waxed:))) I'm glad the smalls shadow is gone :)
I regret making this so much , firstly I made this n it didn't even turn out gd even though I followed all the instructions carefully , second when I was washing up the things I used it didn't get off it took me like an hour to clean it !
pour hot water on those stuff that you've used. let it sit there for about 5 minutes. it comes off easier that way.
Well anyway thanks for your help but I managed to do it
Is that sorta sarcasm ?. +cccincocc
It takes a while to make it properly. I love how easy it is to clean though since it's just sugar and it dissolves. I just put my pan into a sink with hot water straight away, same for the plate I put the wax on. (I don't have a marble kitchen.) If you attempt it again, it might help. If not, fair enough. :)
Thanks but I might not try it again 😀
my mother would kill me if she saw me using a metal spoon to stir anything in a pot or pan!! lol
hello
heyy somewhere I'd read you apply this wax the opposite direction of hair growth and pull it in the direction of hair growth. can anyone tell me how true this is? like really really
do the opp.
+Ayesha Siddiqi That is correct! With traditional waxes you generally apply with the hair and remove in the opposite direction, but for sugaring it is reversed. Like you said, apply in the opposite direction and pull with the hair.
I am a punk when it comes to pain, but this did not hurt a tenth as much as waxing. My mixture was a bit too watery, but I used strips and it worked fine. Thank u!
hey there. just tried the wax and it worked out perfectly!!! I am not so sure if it will bring the desired results because my hair is very dark and thick, but I will give it a go!!! thanks :)
This is basically the process to make a candy cane, lollipop, etc
Can you eat it??
well its just food material, and full with sugar, if you want to get diabetic go ahead
If You want to eat it ... don't use salt in it ....
i used to eat that when my mom makes it, before she use it that is XD and she doesn't add salt to it
before seeing that comment i was wondering if it was only my mom who used to give her kids a small amount of that stuffs to eat... it was delicious :)
i used to do that too but i didn't know what she's gonna use it for i though that it's a candy and mom doesn't add salt too
Yes...mom used to give me and my brother small pieces of it ..we couldn't have enough of it...we called it bonbon...it was a special moment for us 😋😋
Thank you for this video. I was following your instructions and I burned a little the sugar. I let the wax be cold and I took a small portion in my finger and play with it. After 5 minutes playing, it change the color. It came clear. I tried in my one of my legs. All the hair came out. Your recipe woks very good.
Thank from Mexico.
Um... Maha, why is there a chicken hanging upside down on the wall behind you???
😆😆😂😂😆lol I notice it
+Christopher Soule They will eat it for launch :)
+juste moi another nirvana fan here :D
Lol! Saw it!! It's a chicken toy that makes a sound exactly like a chicken.
I tried this way but failed. I did it to see can i do that. Anyway i make my sugarpaste by : 10 tablespoons of sugar, half lemon juice (not squezzing out all thr juice, 2 tablespoons of water and 1 teaspoon of salt. Let it start boiling on highest heat. Mine is marked 1,2 n 3 as highest. So once it boiles i turn it down to 1.5 n let it boil slowly on low heat for 3-4 mins.Make sure u take care of the heat it's important to boil slowly. When it becomes golden color( light color, not brown) i put it in bowl n let it cool down. N when its completly cool i use it. Also if the paste isnt gud, try to change lemon, coz that can be a problem very often. No need for water, no need for stretching and burning fingers. Its already very soft and sticky ready for use. When the rest of paste becomes lil.hard i put it in microwave for 10 seconds n take more of it. In case i dont need it i put rest in fridge for the next time n again microwave it. Ive been doing this for a loooong time n i got this recipe from my yemeni friend. Hope it helps someone too. i apologize for my poor english grammar, since english isnt my first language
didnt work, everything exact measures but wasnt sticky at all, was falling of my hand even
Evelina Rozenbergaite was it falling apart? I mean too much liquid n didnt wanna stick?
biba 24 It was staying together, not falling apart, but just didnt stick to my skin, even after putting in a microwave wasnt much difference, no idea why
Evelina Rozenbergaite i see. Try to do it again with different lemon. Few times i bought lemons at market n same thing happened. I bought from another place n it was fine. This worked out for me. Same recepie again n make sure u take care of heat. Highest untill boils.then go to lowest 3-4 mins. If i boil mine for 3 mins ( checking also the color make sure its not dark brown) i turn off heat completly at 3rd min. Hope this time works out for u
Thank you!!!! This one I had some success with on the 2nd batch substituting apple cider vinegar for the lemon juice. I think my lemon wasn't acid enough.. Was able to do my bikini line, just the outskirts, not a brazillian or anything. I think I'd be able to do my arms SUPER quick with this but my bikini line was a little too coarse. I was having the same problem with the sugar turning to liquid after the pulling. But not having to kneed it at all totally worked for me.
i always see people letting it cool on marble..but what if you dont have marble?
Use a baking pan.
DubstepWubber2 thank you :)
That I don't know. Sorry
+elfi ylmz yes, a metal surface will do the work, another thing, dont use a porcelain plate, and preserve it in plastic
Use a glass baking dish, that how I did it and it worked out just fine.
You can also put the whole thing in ice water and play with it like that and just roll it around. The sugar at that stage will not absorb any cold water as long as there is sufficient ice in the water to keep it really cold. Using a candy spatula as well if you can use marble is good or playing with it in a good quality saute pan
I watched this video a few years ago and it was the best one on this topic. Now I came back because I forgot how to do this but found there is no sound on the video anymore. Is there any chance you might want to make a new one? I really liked your instruction.
Hmm... Just tried it. It went from OK to stringy/stretchy but didn't seem to get firmer as I was kneading it, I ended up throwing it out cuz it was just really runny and I took some leftover wax and I hot potatoed it and then it seemed too firm and wasn't sticky at all... I microwaved for 10 seconds and it got SLIGHTLY sticky.. I tested it and it worked on some parts but then it stopped sticking to my skin.. So I give up lol I'll just use my usual wax.. >.
I had just the same problem. It's because of the temperature. Cook the sugar-mix with a little higher temperature. That should Werk out just fine. But don't use too high heat, otherwise the wax will become too hard. :-)
I'm making some right now, I've had the same problem my last two attempts (it came out like regular wax) but I'll try cooking it at a higher temp today and see what happens
I find it doesn't work AS well as regular wax though..
"Fire cannot kill a dragon"
I burnt myself twice and it wouldn't stick to my skin so i ate the rest and it tastes like sugar daddy candy
LMFAOOOOOOOO
don't laugh at me lol
Lol I did the same thing omg 😂❤
Lol
true I actually just microwaved sugar daddy candy and got this result of wax 😂😂
