- I asked five of my Arab friends (from Morocco, Egypt, Syria, Yemen and Iraq) to take a DNA test. Are in they in for a shock? Or will the results be as expected? Enjoy!

Kulana Arab part 2 🙋🏽♀️
Kulana Arab I don't believe the DNA results. I'd like to visit the lab to see how a person's origin or ethnicities are derived. In the Bible it says in the story of the Tower of Babel that God caused a giant migration and created various languages and ethnicities originated from this huge migration. We all come from God.
Very strange that people who described themselves as arabs are actually not really arabs at all.
Longinus Ukenta thats how good and cool to be an arab, weather you like or not
@@mansooralqahtani5419
Not true at all. DNA and technology will change a lot of assumptions. Already, north africans are reclaiming their amazigh heritage. In 100 years time, no single north african will describe themselves as arab. This will also happen in lebanon and syria. The way in which arabs used islam to erase other people's cultures and identities will soon come to a crashing end.
Why is a Moroccan shocked he has Spanish? For Goodness sake, it is only just across the water!
He knows no geography apparently
Moroccans hate spaniards
Because it means grandma who had a Spanish tutor was being naughty.
Cockertoo espacially becuse arabs or in fact muslims were in spain. He should actually be proud of that
Morrocans like to portrait themselfs as arabs, while most of them are more amazigh/berber than that they are arabs.
The Yemeni guy didn’t know he had African? Bro your hair gives it away 😂😂
No, I don't think you heard him right. He expected some east african portion, but not west african. That is what surprised him. My hunch tells me his west african part came via Sudan because west Africa hardly registers in Horn African sample.

I am shocked that the Egyptian lady didn't address the large Jewish ancestry she has.
Maybe coz of the ongoing war in Gaza.
We are creatures of our present. Sometimes learning our DNA results does not conform with our self Identity in our now. It can take time to adjust. It did for me when I found my biological father was not who I grew up learning was my dad. Don't be shocked. There are so many things DNA will reveal about all of us. Like that we all came from the same genetic Adam at some point in history.
I'm half Sephardic Jewish, my family's origin is from somewhere in the former Ottoman empire, I know this because a great-grandfather of mine served in the Ottoman army, but I can't get anyone to tell me where his family is actually from. My father disowned me because I wouldn't stop pressing him and his sister for an answer.
I tried to find out via DNA testing, and it came back 20% Ashkenazi Jewish (my mother is non-Jewish German), 6% North African (non-Jewish), one percent Nigerian, and almost 40 percent Italian (I have no known Italian ancestry and no Italian relatives).
I got in touch with other people of mixed Sephardic (from Arab and Maghrebian countries) and European descent and found out that my results are very typical.
This lady may not actually be of Jewish descent. They try to catch non-European Jewish ancestry in consumer DNA tests, but the results are very random. I have read a lot of puzzled questions on social media by Jews from Islamic countries who hardly showed up with any Jewish admixture in DNA tests.
If this lady has Jewish ancestry, it will show in her matches, not or not necessarily in her ethnicity estimates.
Given the current political climate, it is no wonder that people from the Middle East who find out about their Jewish ancestry via DNA tests don't explore it further.
Palestinians regularly show up with high percentages of Jewish admixture in DNA tests (up to 30 percent). Given that Jewish women marrying out of Judaism was not uncommon in Islamic countries prior to Zionism and that according to Jewish religious law, being of Jewish descent in your maternal ancestry line makes you a Jew, it is very likely that many of them are in fact Jews according to Jewish religious law and therefore entitled to Israeli citizenship. However, attempts by Palestinians to get Israeli citizenship via the Israeli "law of return" have been ignored at best and ended lethal at worst.
It’s a religion

their mind could not accet that
The Jews originate from African they're Egyptians and invaded Isreal as refugees it's very well documented in the Bible
As a Yemeni, not surprised by the results considering Yemen’s history. Yemen had a Jewish King (Dhu Nawas) in maybe the 3rd or 4th century, followed by an Abyssinian Christian king (Abraha) - among others. My grandfather said he used to hang out with the Yemeni Jews before the conflict escalated around 2015. There was a bit of Roman influence in Arabia Felix too, which is present day Yemen. Iraq and Morocco aren’t a surprise either. There was a large Jewish population in Morocco during the fall of the Ottoman Empire - at least until Morocco declared its independence and after the declaration of a Jewish state, and Iraq has an extensive Jewish history. Pre-Hebrew writings can be found in Saudi, whether it was during the Exodus or when they fled Roman persecution towards the Arab regions and settled there is uncertain. But Jewish bloodlines existing in Arab/African regions isn’t that surprising. It would be more surprising if it wasn’t there.
The last woman wss over 20 % Jewish and she dismissed that. This is interesting if everyone did a DNA testcand found out their origins there would be more acceptance of one another and less wars.
they're muslim, and quran is pretty clear on hating jewish people
It seems that some here are in denial about having Jewish ancestry and are focusing on the low percentages at the bottom of the results list. Why is that ...?
White is considered as a virtue hence their excitement over European ancestry as opposed to some having predominant African ancestry. Arabs were taught their "different" to Jewish people. I don't know exactly what happened in history but there's extreme separation of ideology between the two groups.

@haifa lifestyle Indonesian & Indian? I've never heard or read that in my entire life. I have nothing to gain by lying, I only share what I've learned from scholarly sources. And I never said that Yemeni's were pure arabs, I said that they are the closest you'll get to pure Arabs today which is kind of a misnomer because Arabs are not a pure breed, they are a mixed race to begin with. By pure I meant the closest to that original admixture of indigenous peoples in Southern Arabia and East Africa. The ancient Arabs which were the Qahtani Arabs originated in Yemen ie. The Aad and Thamud people. I'm not implying that the Adnani Arabs which are more recent are any less Arab. The other ethnicities in the video were not even Adnani Arabs but only Arab culturally.
@Jon Gandee yes, they do, because their dna is mixed with European (this is what i am trying to make my husband understand). The mutation of the gene responsible for the light colored eyes happened in Eastern / Northern Europe around 10,000 years ago, acording to the latest studies. And with the migration of the tribes and the inslavery of them by Romans at first, and the exploration of new lands and continent's later, this gene spread to the Middle and East Asia as well as Middle East and Africa. Basically, all blue eyed people share the same ancestor.

Yeah they could pass as siblings or cousins
@@sydniew.2295 yeah we're north African but we're not black. I'm from the north of morocco (the riff) and i'm white asf. There is a part of morocco who's black but that doesn't mean we're all black. Love my country tho, so diverse 🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦❤️
fuck you all racists(im purple)
@Daisy Wong if i say that in the Netherlands as an marocan girl they would cal me racist😂 i am hella white just like most moraccans. We are not black.
That was great , learning for all
This was so much fun to watch!
The yemeni guy looks straight East African (horn of Africa To Be Specific) like Somali or Eritrean/Ethiopian so that wasn’t surprising
And although he’s from Yemen he’s obviously an Afro Arab
@ghasan23 How?
@ghasan23 where are you from?
@ghasan23 I got my own theory on somalis from when you look at DNA and language but your right Ethiopians have an old semetic mixture
@ghasan23 No, Ethiopians are genetically closer to Somalis (Cushites) than Yemenis, but linguistically yes you are closer to Ethiopians. Most Habesha Ethiopians are linguistically shifted Cushitics, meaning they are a genetically Cushitic people who adopted Semitic language.
@ghasan23 I already state that Habeshas are language wise closer to Yemenis, i'm not disputing that. But genetically they are more related to Cushitic people, in fact it has been found through genetics that Habeshas are probably Agaws (Cushites) who changed languages. Yemeni DNA in Habeshas is no more than 15%.
Mohammed’s laugh is so addicting an adorable 😄👍🏻
Are you Gay .
@@lostinspace1719 LOL obviously!!

@bi1chpudding better yet indigenous people or the People of the First Nations (this includes Eskimos Guamian i,Hawaiians and American Samoans).History note for racists or flat morons (pratically the same thing): There were several nations BEFORE the Europeans and their slaves came. Read a book. Gain knowledge. It's not hard really.
Actually I find it irritating 🤣😂
Love that the take away is that we are all human beings. Peace ❤
this was EXCELLENT!!!!
The Yemeni bro is mad funny, and the Iraqi guys laugh is adorable!
Agreed! Haha!
They are all very nice people.i also get %3.4 middle east.i am proud of it.
prashant surani you are an idiot troll! Stop generalizing people!
prashant surani racist ass
prashant surani so I’m Middle Eastern, I’m a terrorist too? And here I just thought a was a nice woman working making a living for myself.
I'm Greek and I've got more Arabian DNA then all off you put together
😆
😂😂
Ya sou, eimai aravikos
West asia is Turk/Persian, arab is Middle east. Even in iran today are 35 Million Turks in the Western part
Yes arabs (ottoman empire)colonized greece for many centuries
Interesting that none of them acknowledge being Jewish
obviously, the second they acknowledge it they will start hating themselves. Syntax Error.
As they should
None of them is arab, real arabs are from saudi arabia and arab gulf countries
Anyone else notice how they ignore or miss quote the percentage of Jewish DNA🧐😏😕🫣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
That first guy results made me laugh. He has a positive soul.
He’s cute too
His laugh gets me some harmony
His laugh is contagious and yes, cute too.
He was the corny one. 😒
@@KaneneProductions And we found the bitter one.🤫
The Moroccan guy looks straight up morrocan. Lol
Looks like french montana
saxywale2 : no not typically Moroccan , in Morocco they been called Hartani meaning they are originally subsaharienne. Original Moroccans witch are the Berbers they are kinda wheatish or white like North m. Remember North Africa is cold place in winter so much snow in many areas , beside its a part of Mediterranean culture .
Axel Syfax Zenati bro most of Morocco look like him I look like him
Hartani : means Moroccan yes but he might have half subsaharienne. Nothings wrong it’s still Africa it’s just we need to be honest to ourselves and be proud of who we are . I don’t like the guy because he shout WOW 🤩 for 2% Spanish ( small % in Genetic means zero nada even its 15% ) however did no comment about his majorité African origin , complex. Well just go to Spain tell em I’m from Spain, Freak moron
I’m native Moroccan ( Amazigh) , I did 3 DNA test last in a ancestry got 100% as many friends or most Moroccans. Original Moroccan wheatish white like any west Mediterranean.
Remember Morocco is cold country and mild summer except Sahara in the south. Morocco had long history of slavery from subsaharienne ( Moroccan dynasties and empires especially after Islam era ) . Islam encourage slavery and sex trade ( check history of Islam: fikeh Arrek - sabiya - al ama )
I’m an ex - Muslim and anytime I see a black Muslims proud of being Muslims I got totally chocked n crazy like those in the video . How in hell they don’t know that Islam is an Arabic racist nazi religion, because they don’t ducking search
@@seoul68 He looks like every moroccan i’ve ever seen 😂

Mashallah loved this video.

I need 10 hours of Mohammed's laugh. Thank you
I wonder where in his ancestry tree did Mohammed get his super laugh? 😅 😅😅
Kaisa K Right? His laugh is wonderful.
It's funny because I knew an Iranian-Iraqi with the same kind of laugh! Maybe that's how people laugh there? :D
Yes, his laugh is awesomely contagious! Love it! 🙌🏽
Kaisa K I loooooooooove his laugh
His laugh is so nice
4:55 this guy is too funny and his attitude to the world gives me hope that the younger generation can unite this world
Loved watching this ,proves we are all a bit of everything,
If did not tell us he was from Yemen, I would say he looked like East African. Especially, Ethiopian.
yesuf mohammed right, I’m surprised he’s so shocked about it lol
He has West African ancestry though, rather than East African.
Many east Africans are mixed with arabs.
Some don't look "african" at all with more or less fair skin , thin nose, etc...
Then yes you can have Ethiopians looking like him, because they have arabs ancestries.
same honestly
@@Tyehale2007 he is shocked of his west African ancestory. He did expect East African though why is that a big deal.
The iraqis laugh killed me 😂
I find so normal that 3 of them have jewish ancestry. Jewsh population from the ancient Persia was forced to convert to islam or killed. So many of those who now are asking the dead of jews are actually turning against their brothers :((((.
I'm Jewish, and I took my DNA test a few years ago. The results were shocking for me. I have a whole bunch of Arab and Muslim relatives that I did not ever know about. My maternal side is Sephardi from Spain and France, and my fraternal side is from Moldova. My family on both sides are blue eyed, and blond. So where in the world did my Muslim relatives come from?
The Iberian Peninsula
And they had a lot of blue eyed slaves there @@pgl7950
All decended from the tribes of Israel like many others
@@AnthonyRooney-be2txyes. That is the exciting thing!
they invaded and lot of places and toke millions of slaves
The Yemeni guy looks like an Ethiopian/Eriterian.
East Africans have around 40 to 50%Middle Eastern blood which is why they have different features to other Africans
These Dna companys Jewish so don't bleave them
Mahdi Kassem Which explains it, West Africans is cool too tho. All beautiful people
WTF is Ethiopian / Eritrean look ????? There are over 100+ different Ethnicties in Ethiopia and 10+ in Eritrean ??? WTF are you talking about.
Northeast Africans don't have Middle Eastern blood... he looks like that because habeshas used to rule over Arabia. Yemenis have East African DNA not the other way
The first guy, besides having an awesome laugh, he’s got the most hilarious things to say. I love that !!!
Cindy Printis He really does. I wonder if he has a Facebook. I kind of want to be his friend. Is that strange? LoL
Doesn’t he look like someone you’d totally like to hang with. And he’s very handsome.
Not strange at all.
Layla DeBarbieris We would be laughing all day! 😂😂😂😂🙈
He's very cute!
Great info, funny how most people don't really understand how history, DNA and cultures are linked together.
Were any hoplogroups assigned? That is more important than regions in my opinion
That guy who just laughs is such a rare kind. He's the happiest most fun person I've ever known so far.

Mohammed's laugh was the highlight of this video 😂
I did at least three of these DNA tests with many-year separation between. The first one told me what I knew-100% European (remember this was a primitive test at first). The second one told me I had Swiss-Italian (my dad) and Luxembourg (my mom). I need to look them up but there were some far-flung findings as well. Then I took a test that explained that I had 3% or more (can’t quite recall) of Neanderthal!! Love it 💗
That song_ Why can't we be friends_ comes to mind💯%💜
This man thinks his family was out there traveling the world, switching ethnicities until they got to Iraq and said "we're home" lmao
shii i think thaat too lol
i’m iraqi 🙃 i’m from everywhere❤️🥰
....im tryna laugh dude
😝🤣🤣🤣
I'm not surprised that Northern Africa and the Middle East have a wide variety of DNA. Since it is the areas of the oldest civilization, that's a lot of time for a mix of different races/ethnicities. It's cool finding out we are more than just the small part we grew up knowing about.
Right

We No Africans (Imazighen/Berbers) have no correlation with West Asia or the Arab Peninsula. There are many Arabised North Africans but they are not genetically Arab but speak a CREOLE language mixture of indigenous (Tamazight), French, Arabic & Spanish. I can’t speak for Egyptians.
I’m mainly Spanish-Moroccan, but I’m also partly English and Middle Eastern which is interesting to me
@@tifawt3736 amazigh people were and will forever be AFRICANS. its those who look "white" that aren't. they settle here in north africa via invasions, looking for better life, even to study! they adopted the identity and now since a long time ago call themselves amazigh and discriminate the real amazigh for their look. arabs took it even further by enslaving the autochtonous (black/real north african), there being darkskinned or just "looking black" isn’t a good thing AT ALL. i’d like to make a quick reminder to y’all there was and is not only berbers and arabs in north africa and sahara desert even the arabian desert😁.
This really needs to be done with a good understanding of your family tree. All my life-33 years- I was raised in a Mexican-American culture and this week my results came back as my mom being half Yemeni
