    Question dear brother... Can you recommend a henna brand? I'm looking to implement this sunnah. ان شاء الله
    When doing wudhu, will the henna rinse out?

    • @hamzahgoodson9616
      @hamzahgoodson9616  2 роки тому

      Wa alaikum salaam akhi. I'm not sure about henna brands. It's so readily available here in Oman they sell it in bulk. The henna will wear out over time, but think of it as a natural hair dye. It won't wash out when making wudhu, but you will need to repeat the process as it begins to fade. May Allah reward you.

      There are different types of henna, but I use the all natural one that comes in a powder form. I live in Oman, so finding henna is extremely easy. I'm not sure about anywhere else. Perhaps you could order it online.

    baarak Allahou fiika for reminding this sunna
    another point concerning haircut,
    biidhnilLahi ta3la :
    According to 'Abdallah Ibn 'Umar رضي الله عنهما:
    "The Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم forbade the qaza' (*)."
    (Reported by Bukhari in his sahih n°5921 and Muslim in his Sahih n°2120)
    (*) Imam Ibn Qayim Al Djawziya (died in 751) said:
    “The qaza' is divided into four categories:
    - one of them is that we shave certain places on the head here and there.
    - the second is that one shaves the middle of the head and leaves the hair on the sides as Christian monks do.
    - the third is that we shave the sides and leave the hair on top.
    - the fourth is that we shave the front of the head and leave the back.
    All this is part of the qaza'”.
    wa Allahou a3lam
    Allahoumma ihrdina wa ihrdihoum

    Do you have to wrap it with cling wrap when it’s on? Because I’ve tried it without and it goes hard

    • @hamzahgoodson9616
      @hamzahgoodson9616  2 роки тому +1

      I wrap it primarily because I don't want pieces falling off and staining my clothes or furniture. It's okay if it goes hard, it will soften once it gets wet when you wash it out.

    Great video sir..
    But red doesnt suits every one..
    young premature graying muslim men can dye hair black..
    but very old are prohibited to colour it black so they dont decieve any one e. g like marrying to a young
    so according to the hadiths
    combinations are
    black
    henna ( red)
    henna plus katam
    or now a days katam replaced by indigo
    and lastly a yellowish henna colour of the bead close to light brown
    you should make a video on all of these colour shades to guide ppl further.. regards

    • @hamzahgoodson9616
      @hamzahgoodson9616  3 роки тому +2

      You're free to do it if you like, although it won't have much of an effect on the color. The sunnah is to change the color of the white hairs, but Allah accepts from us based on our intentions. If you choose to do so purely for the sake of Allah then your reward is with him, inshaAllah.

    Assalamualalaikum
    JazaakAllah for sharing this knowledge,
    I live in Zimbabwe and cant find the khatam plant.Henna is readily available.
    I am using indigo instead of khatam and in a similar process that you have shown,
    Refering to your tutorial i would like to confirm and enquire :
    1- in the second plate on your table that has khatam,does it need to be pre-mixed with henna
    or can it be khatam only which you apply over beard that has been coloured with henna
    2- do you have any experience with using henna/indigo-if so kindly share
    Thanks

    • @hamzahgoodson9616
      @hamzahgoodson9616  3 роки тому +1

      Wa alaikum salaam. The henna and khatam should be applied separately. You need the henna to give you a deep red foundation before applying the khatam or indigo. I have used indigo in the past, but be very careful. If you don't get a deep red with the henna first, your beard will turn out bright green! I know from experience. Another trick is to add coffee grounds to the khatam or henna and let it sit overnight. This will help to give it a more brownish tent, inshaAllah.

    Your beard has grown really well since the first video-well done. What about the moustache-some people (Turks for instance) have big moustaches while others shave it completely. Why is that I wonder? Could you grow out your stache if you wanted to?

    • @hamzahgoodson9616
      @hamzahgoodson9616  4 роки тому +2

      That's a good question. There are differences of opinions regarding the matter. I follow the opinion that it is required to leave the moustache but trim it. There are historical records that indicate Omar ibn al Khattab used to twist the ends of his moustache whenever he was concerned or in deep thought. This would not be possible if he had removed his moustache and we know him to be of the strictest when it comes to following the shariah and the sunnah.
      You can read more about it here:

    • @sharifahaliyah
      @sharifahaliyah 3 роки тому +2

      It’s not vanity. It’s actually good to look after yourself. Old age is part of life but that does it mean that we should let go of ourselves

    • @user-pt6ug5ug3m
      @user-pt6ug5ug3m 3 роки тому +1

      @@sharifahaliyah Keeping clean and healthy is looking after youself. Not beard dying. Dying your hair is changing your natural state.
      It is the same as plastic surgery that is done to enhance ones appearance. Having grey hair is a sign of age and is a symbol of a person with life experience and wisdom.
      These traits are far more admirable than attempting to hang on to ones youth.
