The Warriors needs a remake. They can fully expand the game even more and add a lot more missions and features. Also, playing online creating a gang having a territory and holding it down. It'll be just like GTA online.

A modern third-person Parasite Eve remake set in an explorable NYC. Lean into the horror elements, keep the heaviness of the movement, stick to the seven-day format of the narrative, and you've got yourself an instant Christmas classic.

Good one...I played those games long long ago, so long I only remember that you play as redhead vampire lady with cool knifes or whatever it is.
I played it so much back in the day
They showed Sonic 06 in the intro, but in case anyone doesn’t know, it’s not on the list because it’s getting remade by a single person who is building off the demo build for the game. It’s called Sonic P-06. It currently has all levels available and the hub worlds and side missions are being worked on.

Alpha Protocol. Not a bad game, but it's got jank that needs smoothing out. I just love how the story unfolds and how many different things can happen. I really like the whole spy thriller premise that you can work through however you want. It just needs some updating.
AP hugely deserves a remake. the story and dialogue systems in that game were so good, but the rest is just meh.
That game kept me occupied for so fkn long. Even tho it was janky it was extremely fun
Yeah good one. I was actually going to say Splinter Cell Double Agent for similar reasons. There was so much wasted potential there plus bugs and cut scenes that didn't match the story. But Alpha Protocol may be a better starting point.

I don't know. I tried replaying it last year and even after ignoring the lackluster gameplay, the writing really isn't very good. Most of the time Michael Thorton acts like an edgy horny teenager, which really took me out of the spy story. A spiritual successor with a new story would be better.
I think a better list might be "Remakes for games that had a lot of wasted potential " - I just feel like remaking bad games isn't the best idea but to each their own of course

@@gameranxTV Honestly, I know it is an unpopular opinion but if you haven't already I would encourage you to go back and play Duke Nukem Forever. Honestly, it is still fun and when you look at the criticisms of the era truthfully you realize that ANY Duke Nukem game would have been as heavily criticized because what critics were complaining about were often the exact things that make Duke Nukem.
Vulgar protagonist with crude humor? That's just Duke.
Forever is definitely the weakest Duke Nukem game but it has merits. The interactivity in map design was great and much of the humor is honestly funny especially compared to the humorless void we find ourselves in now. Forcing Duke to grab a turd to his audible disgust is still hilarious to me. Doing actions that make Duke feel good about himself rewarding you with more max Ego is also a nice touch. Duke Nukem Forever even had glory kills before Doom 2016 even came out, even if they were poorly animated.
@@sadscientisthououinkyouma1867 I'm really not sure that is what people were complaining about. Everyone knew what a Duke Nukem game was going to be going in. It's reviews and general player sentiment was just that it wasn't the best or near to what it could/should be. Nobody was cancelling it or anything.

Lot's of reviewers explicitly went after the game's crude nature, maybe it was occasionally in service to other points (Destructoid used it to argue the game isn't funny) but most reviews did make an explicit problem of the game being crude.
IGN is probably the best review of the game, and it avoids many of the issues I take with how the game was reviews (and IGN still rates the game poorly).
Going back to the Destructoid review you also see the dumbest possible criticisms when looking at the reviews. They literally criticized the game for being TOO INTERACTIVE, with the reviewer complaining that the game padded its maps too much with busywork (the minigames you can find and boost EGO with). Not like secrets and exploration have been a thing in the FPS genre since its inception, never going to see that criticism lobbed at a game that they like because it is explicitly a criticism that is invalid and only used as post-hoc to attack a game they dislike.
You can think Duke Nukem Forever sucks, reasonable minds can differ. Don't defend the terrible reviews for the game. Even in 2011 games journalism still was questionable at best.
Dragon Age 2 is great because it takes place in one location over a decade. I loved feeling like my character and his family put down roots and changed over the course of the game. Plus, the story is not just another “the world is ending” type plots.
Dead to Rights and Syphon Filter need remakes as well.

That’s a good call! I would like to see Blood Omen get remade first as it is a slow pain in the ass to play it on my ps2. I can’t get down with those long load times.
NFL Blitz the League 2, True Crime series, Def Jam Fight For NY, Army of 2, Manhunt would be cool.

Manhunt was banned in most countries, HIGHLY unlikely it would ever get a remaster due to how brutal it was. Granted it would be amazing to see it on UE5 and in full glory but R* would never, I mean you can't have any offensive license plates on GTA V which is an 18 so yeah.

I actually played Enter the matrix when I was younger and I remember that game being alot of fun. Would love to see a remake of that game.

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. By no means a bad game (at times an amazing game) but it was totally broken on release and seeing as there's a tragically unworthy-looking sequel approaching, a remake of the original would be most welcome.
Adding Duke to Bullet Storm Full Clip Edition was the best Duke we got after Forever lol
Pirates of the Caribbean (2003) by Akella and Bethesda is a MUST!!!! So many people somehow missed this game. It was buggy, sure, but the music and gameplay were amazing when it worked.

Path of neo too, melee combat is fine but the gunplay is vomit inducing. If only they could make the shooting satisfying.

A Dark Sector remake would be neat. The controls were a little weird and it tried too hard to copy Gears of War's homework for combat. When they were using their own ideas it was usually pretty good, there just wasnt very much of that.
Remakes I would like to see:
- Tekken 4
- Simpsons Hit and Run
- The Simpsons Game
- Crash Twinsanity
- Cel Damage
- Kula World (preferably indie or Double A)
- Goldeneye 007
- Whiplash

Goldeneye has been Remake, as Rogue Agent and Perfect Dark, and also gotten a remaster. The Simpson's Game was alright, but that damn Vertical Split Screen was horrible on TVs back then. Might not be so bad considering all tvs are Wide screens now.

I tested TR: AoD, and I remember writing soooooo many bugs for that one. I'm pretty sure it shipped with most of them too. From what I can recall, Sony and Eidos were trying to streamline the QA sign off on that one to coincide with the launch of TR: The Cradle of Life in theaters. So they just said fugget about it and threw it out into the wild. I remember playing the final release build and seeing one of my 100% crash bugs still in the final boss sequence lmao.
Dragon Age 2 is underrated honestly. Personally, I like the story best of the three. The tension between the mages and Templars is quite cool, especially when you play as the mage class.
Oh and Isabela is bae.
I think origins is still the best but the 2nd is way ahead of inqusition
DA 2 is by far my favorite of the series. I love the premise of the story taking place in 1 city over a longer period of time - and yes, that brings re-used assets, but you can't really do a story like that without them. And I take offense at calling the combat boring :D
DA2 is definitely underrated, like all good games that follow up a great game (looking at you, Dark Souls 2). They definitely could have made better use of the "same city over time" premise though.
Oh and I despise Isabella. She's just so unsubtle it's grating. And no, going through her relationship arc isn't helping much.

Never understood the hate for DA2, I like every DA game but the 2nd was the one that touched me the most, played it in my teenage years, I mean its just my opinion, best combat (simple and direct), my favourite companions are mostly there, story is simple but its well done, the game is short about 40-50 hours w DLC's but it feels good to replay.
I liked Inquisition but that game is HUGE, about 120 hours to complete everything if you are the type of player who wants to do everything, other thing that I did not like was the companions AI, sometimes they stand still and looks like you are the only one attacking, its very annoying.
My (2) would be Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy - OR - Jade Empire....not that they were bad games, but remade in UE5 would be dope

Psi-ops was so damn good. It would be an absolute dream if they remade that, or The Suffering. Midway made such legendary games back in the day.
The original Devs have said they would live to do a Jade Empire Remake. It comes up every few years, but EA won't allow it apparently.

Imagine a Directors Cut of Metroid Other M that fixes all the problems and makes it play sensibly on Switch?

something I thought Devil May Cry 2 suffered from was the lack of personification in the bosses; they were all just mindless, roaring monsters, though some with quite cool designs. I will hold my hand up and say I played that one way more times than it deserved back in the day. If they remake Dead Space 3 then I hope they keep the bit where you use the rig to travel around the space station outside; that was the highlight of the game for me.
Rule of Rose caused a moral panic here in the UK, with politicians basically making up things about the game to be upset about.
While it never got banned, the publisher got cold feet and I can't remember if it ever got released over here.
Really want the FEAR series to comeback!

Started playing it few days ago, and the one thing I want omitted most is how major plot points are told from easily missable laptops and phone messages.
Would love to see remakes of all 3 Turok games, not just the remasterers we got.Also all 3 first Doom games and not just remasterers we got again to.😊
I bother Sega occasionally about remaking Blood Will Tell.
It was an absolutely bonkers PS2 era samurai game based on a manga. You go around killing demons to get back your body parts that were stolen from you as an infant. You wield swords but can also throw off your hands to reveal blades. There’s a machine gun in your arm and a cannon in your knee. The body parts you recover boost your stats but can also have real changes to the game. For instance, it starts off black and white, but becomes color when you get your eyes back.
It was such a fun game, but I’m guessing nobody bought it because the premise was too weird for most people or it was just badly marketed.
Since Capcom is doing resident evil remakes anyway, I would love one for Code Veronica.
Code Veronica desperately needs a remake. It had so much potential but it's also messy as hell.

I really want to see a remake of Legendary. Mythical creatures like minotaurs, griffins, and the freakin' kraken unleashed by Pandora's Box vs the modern world.
That's such an AWESOME concept and it saddens me I haven't seen it since.

The Saboteur, we need this remade. Why is nobody talking about The Saboteur? Saboteur Saboteur Saboteur how many times do i need to say Saboteur for people to realise this exists. It put GTA to shame and nobody noticed.

The Aragami series is very similar.. I still have to tackle the original Tenchu trilogy myself but I loved Shadow Assassins on PSP

The first one is more of a puzzle game, but Aragami 2 is the Perfect Dark to Tenchu's Goldeneye 007

Two old favourites I'd love to see would be Battle for Middle Earth plus Black & White. At the time, great all around but a few modern additions, not just graphics overhauls and they could be brilliant games today.

I'd love to see a video talking about games that would be interesting to get genre swaps for. For example, Resident Evil as a tactical game like XCOM or Stardew Valley-esque game in the Pokemon universe.

Homefront was ahead of its time in my opinion. Back then everyone complained about the massive lobbies and wanted cod size lobbies. If they'd of came out with Homefront a few years back it would've dominated.
Edit: especially given the fact Battlefront can't get their act together and make a decide game these days.
This list illustrates why when it comes to video games and films I am always open to remaking anything, especially when the original didn’t work but had the foundation to be something great. I see Dead Space 3 and Resident Evil 5&6 as opportunities to make good on premises or ideas that could be redone in better ways.

Crimson Skies. If they'd give that Bioshock-esque graphics and slightly more weighty aircraft controls -- I mean, it's steampunk -- that would be awesome.
And Hostile Waters, although that was arguably not a bad game.
Oh! That last game reminded me of Clive Barker's Undying. Another atmospheric gem that suffered from blocky graphics but was otherwise pretty much perfect IMO.

I refuse to go back and play it because I remember it fondly and those rose colored glasses ain't coming off!

*Really* hate to be that guy but its Dieselpunk not Steampunk. Diselpunk is the early to mid 1900's noticeably if it has gasoline or disel engines powering things. Steampunk is more Victorian England where things are powered by extremely powerful steam engines and might or might not contain mechanical computers like the ones designed my Babage. (Again sorry, I just felt that needed correction)

It's gonna be interesting when Capcom decides to remake RE 6. Remove the multiple campaigns? Restructure from scratch? Take out co-op? I have no idea.

Dragon Age 2 came out in the time where everyone wanted the Call of Duty audience. I remember how some important guy advertised the action combat with: "You press the button, something awesome happens". And yes, he meant one button, you had to smash over and over again.
Not sure why, but the scene at @10:30 where he's just slapping the dinosaur had me losing it 😂

Its an unpoplar take but I loved Enter the Matrix. I played it as a teen when it came out and thought it was really fun.
Same as a kid i loved that matrix game!
Was disappointed you couldn’t play as Neo, but it is what it is. I get what they were going for, but the story felt half baked. The Agent Smith clones in China town level was fun.

I'd love a full reboot of the Army Men: Sarge's Heroes series that 3DO did. The world was unique and fun with cool toy enemies and guns, but I especially loved Sarge and his team. They were hilarious with great personalities.
So interesting fact: Some dude/s made a remake of this game using the original NES rom and released it as a playable cart on the NES. It included better dialogue with the villagers(ie actual meaningful hints), a more streamlined day/night cycle and an overall higher quality of life in the gameplay.
One game series (that wasn't bad to say) I would love to see a remake of is The Legacy of Kain. Great games and great story!
Hmmm I wonder what a remake of the first 2D one would look like. Not that I think it needs a remake lol. Blood Omen 2 however.. and perhaps the Soul Reaver games as well. Just don't change the voice acting.

I feel like Jurassic Park: Trespasser could work really well as a VR game, given the way it controlled on PC

Might cop it a bit but i would love another attempt of anthem. Had so much fun flying around, zipping through enemies using the agile suit. Was a shame they gave up on it so quickly

The original Dead Rising had left stick aiming like Yakuza, but it the zombies were slow and easy to track so it made the aiming relatively simple. Thankfully they changed it with later additions.
if i could fix one thing about Dead Rising 1, it would be the survivor ai. i think the aim system kinda helps to emphasize the improvisational nature of picking up whatever and using that instead. i would be totally fine if i could just offload guns to survivors, but they usually just go off on a killing spree if you do and then die. from there, id actually work on more shortcuts to take through the mall because on Day 1, its just way too frustrating to get anywhere.
I also remembered the original RE4's aiming was on the left stick. Or I could be wrong.

I want another Turok game like what we got on Xbox 360, i loved that game when I was younger it was so fun to just load up an empty MP lobby with a friend and survive dino attacks
I was gonna comment, remakes of the N64 Turok trilogy might be cool. A lot of potential there.
Splatterhouse, the last game was just dropped halfway done on the developers, as usual the parent company gave them an incredible small amount of time to fix the game, basically making it from scratch and complete it. Personally the 2010 game introduced me to some of my favorite metal bands and solidified my love for high octane violence video games right after god of war

There is only ONE (1) way of properly remaking Onimushas (and all games in general), and it is the 2002 RE1 remake route. Period.

I had no idea the Yakuza Zombie game actually existed. Kiryu Kazuma makes a reference to it in Infinite Wealth, and I didn't get it. And now I do. Yay. My life is complete now.
I really like to see a remake of Haunting Ground, Red Ninja, Silent Hill 3, PoP: Sands of TIme, NFS: Most Wanted & Underground. There's so much more deserve a remake.

Kane and Lynch 1 on paper is really fucking cool idea--in reality it sucked but yeah it deserves a remake. very cool multiplayer as well.

A Rule of Rose remake would be everything. It's an underrated diamond that deserves another chance to get the credit it deserves! I also think that game has just aged really well thematically too so it's worth a shot
Too Human remake would be so dope. The gameplay and controls were odd and strange but the story was so good. The way the used cyberpunk and mixed it with norse mythology was so good!! And it ends on a cliff hanger! Please remake this game and finish the trilogy!!
YES! I was going to mention this since they did not.
Honestly, the controls were great because it emphasized the hack and slash, dungeon crawling element of the game.
The bosses were satisfying.
Trying different builds was awesome.

@@High_Rate136 I think you might be the 5th person that I've talked to who has played that game. I didn't hate the controls amd it only takes a little time to get used to. When that game came out l, the graphics were so good at the time. A cyberpunk ragnarok was such a good choice. Too bad we're in the minority!🤣

Well... we are getting Jurassic Park: Survival (not to be confused with the cancelled game of the same name) from Saber Interactive. Which could kinda be seen as a lowkey remake of what Trespasser was aiming to achieve, provided it turns out good of course. Tho with Saber becoming Indie, I don't know if it'll effect the project.
Was nice to see that Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness made the list. Even though I couldn't ever finish the game, the amount of the game that I did play was pretty enjoyable and I wouldn't mind seeing a remake of it myself.
I want a Clive Barker's Jericho remake or a "the darkness" remake so God damn bad

Rule of Rose was one of those games I circled in my Game Informer magazine. Looked so fun.
Finally someone mentioned Rule of Rose! One of the most unnerving slow horror games from my early childhood. It almost feels like a faded memory now. 100% agree with all the gameplay complaints as it was a drag to play through some elements but it is unlike any other horror games imo.
Dragon Age is still amazing - the long dead concept of "relaxing" is sorely missed!

@@RazeAndSew Because it moved from a proper old school deep tactical PC RPG to a modern action - not so deep - RPG.. that's why - players of the first one wanted more of the same genre, old school PC RPG but what they got was a way more modern action RPG which they didn't expect.. plus the copy-pasted environments didn't helped either

There was a huge emphasis on cross-class combos. A mage making someone brittle, so a warrior can pummel and break them. Or clerics popping haste and building a warrior to do massive quick swings to take down groups of enemies. Or a rogue stunning a group so that a mage can crit chain lightning.
Also you no longer needed to invest points to unlock the tactics system, it was already unlocked. They nearly had the tactics system perfected because you could have your party play in any way you like and set up incredibly complex builds like a blood mage who toggles on and off passive once at a certain health point and then drains enemy corpses to restore in order to put the passives back up once they reach a certain health percentage...
cause like its said in the vid 90% of the maps are reused i liked the combat myself but after running thro 2 runs with most maps looking the same kinda made it become boring heck some of the choices you make were implide to chance the enviorments both in city maps and else where but dont do anything. ps the game after sucked dispite having varity in maps cause the story sucks and alot of the choices your focred to make could be avoided enitery but for some resaon all charators involed just lose their brains.@@RazeAndSew
I'd like to see a remake of Prototype 1 & 2, without the weird core restriction. If you have a certain amount of cores, the game will crash if you try to make a new game and just crashes on startup for the 2nd game.
That thing is repairable using notepad only
prototype 1 and 2 could even be remake by made them into 1 game with 2 protagonists and by heavly reimagining the story, those games' story are very... simple lets say.
I want to see Illbleed from the Dreamcast remade with today’s horror genre approach. That soundtrack with today’s symphonic quality would be beyond disturbing.
