I have to thank you Ben, because I did this and the SAI delete from Hitchcock and it has made the Himalayan build I’m doing 100% better. I do have to adjust my throttle though now because it’s over 1,600 rpm at idle and I know it’s a little high. Honestly, can’t thank you again, because this helps the Himalayan exponentially

While the tank is off, I'm also going to re-position the air temperature sensor (and the one on my booster plug) towards the front of the bike just below the clocks. Just a note to get rid of excess hose I used the throttle body hose to connect to the petrol tank as you said to exit behind the engine and completely removed the other hose originally from the tank to the front and then fitted a rubber blanking plug over the throttle body connector. Much neater than plugging the hanging hose but I guess you have to have the blanking plug.

It makes for a closed loop circuit and without it a lot can go wrong . Otherwise get yourself a piggyback ecu and bypass the O2 sensor and make the whole system Open loop.
Stalling issue is due galvanic corrosion into Bi Starter piston. In this way te engine run a bit gas excess. Clean and lube the Bi Starter cable. It must work automatic return,. (is a good idea, replace the spring)
The Bi starter does help in cold starts but the stalling that I am referring to is on the go . Engine cut offs when the speed transition from high to low is quick ( 30-50% throttle to 0% throttle quickly )

Been facing problems ever since I deleted the EVAP 👎 Wouldn't suggest this to anybody. Just check your hoses, and make sure they're not pinched, you'll be good to go.
Make sure that the port on the throttle body where the evap hose connects is capped off or plugged. If not, it can cause the problems you mention. I did the delete on my himi and it fixed all the starting and idling problems. It starts now without needing the "choke".
Hey, I really wanted your opinion on something. I purchased a Himalayan BS6 2021 two days back, And from the first day itself it has stalling issues be it when I pull in the clutch for stopping or while making a U-turn where the bike gets a bit slow it stalls. This happens every 2 out of 5 times to take an example. Another problem is that the bike's pickup is very poor, I mean I've ridden a Himalayan before and it had good low end torque but talking about mine it just doesn't pull. Really frustrated since the service center mechanics are no good at understanding the problem leave alone fixing it. Really looking forward for some help.
there are too many reasons for stalling. it will take me forever to type here. kindly take it to the service center and ask them to diagnose and find a solution for the same.
Dear Ben. I have been reading post wherein it has been mentioned that the ECU is pulling the vapour fuel once we are on constant speed. If we remove the evap can then ECU might get some errors. How do you recommend that.
That is for electronically controlled EVAP systems . The Himalayan's system works on vaccum generated by the TB . there is no sensor in the EVAP cannister like the ones in cars .

@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN That's right. That's what it does.
@@vijayam1 I ran the setup for more than 5000 kms on my bike and that’s how I came to this conclusion friend . Also capping the TB is a universally tried and tested method that has no flip side
Is it ok to bypass the evap pipe straight to the throttle body??
no dont do it. i did it initially . you cant fill up more than 10 litres and ride off road with that setup.
@@ONTWOWHEELSBENwhat if I just fill less than 8 litres, I haven't filled more than 6 liters after buying my bike because of fuel price 😅. I have a thunderbird so tank capacity is 20 so I think it's ok to fill till 10?
Bro can u tell what happens if evap system fails to work
What about efficiency?? Will if not decrease and mileage too
5% reduction .
Beautiful bike desecrated by awful apple stickers. That bike looks much cleaner and better without the stickers. I don’t mean to disrespect, simply answering the question you asked at 11:40
I'm jealous of your shorts ! My garage is -5°C at the moment...........
Ha ha .. you are going to see them on me for a really long time . We are touching 35 degrees soon
What about the fuel lost as vapour
Collects in the hose and falls/drips on to the ground . You will see droplets during hot summer days or rides
Sir this chassis issues of cracking in most of the re Himalayan bs6
Is it true.. or just....a story?
dont know buddy . never saw one in flesh.
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN thanks 🙏
You are awesome Ben 🥰
Thanks dear friend 😊🙏
Cannot we just replace the charcoal with a new one. Or That evap system altogether with a new one ?
yes you can replace just the charcoal cannister
Cheers just done it on mine 👍
Ben sir, if we remove the evap, from where does the TB collects air to run the engine ?
the Tb collects air fron the Airbox friend .evap doesnt send in air , pls read about Evap systems on automobiles
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN thanks.
Ben sir, my bike has done 15k and the battery is now showing a weak sign like if I don't use the bike just for 1 day, the battery low and have to start by running. Kindly suggest , what can be done ? Or is it about time to replace the battery ? If needs to replace , is it a good to idea to use *Exide* battery for longer life?
@@DatG-sx1coreplace . Buy amaron
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN Ben sir, may I ask why not Exide ☺?
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN you mean like the stock one with 8 AH? Actually looking to upgrade to 9 or 10 AH. Your thought please ?
Maybe it's just but I'm a big fan of the stickers 😁👍
😊
If those stickers are custom then it's a different story but the ones he has looks way too generic.
Why not connect the in cannister and out cannister and leave the rest of the system as it is ? Fumes then go to the trottlebody to be burnt
Will this close the erratic idling and stalling issue up? Got an uncleaned since purchase throttle body and a bad battery btw😅
Best to always clean the Tb and start afresh to rule out all possible culprits
Romba useful ah irundhudhu
😊👍
Ben, does removing the EVAP impacts fuel economy?
yes , slightly reduces . may be 5-10%.
If i remove evap..any problem causes?
no
Any demerits when we remove canister?
NONE.
Does bs3 have this?? Evap?
i am not sure . pls look at your bashplate.
What is price of evap cannister?
Bro can we remove evap system in bullet classic 350
Yes you can dear friend. Plug the hose from the carburettor/ throttle body and let the hose from the tank fall/ hang to the ground .
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN please explain it
?
I removed canister wire which is coming out from the tank.
But the E vap system which you did in your himalayan was different from what your doing in his bike, you connected the E vap to throttle body direct from the tank, by seeing your video I followed the same nd did in my bike...now this is different here
Yes , this is a better solution for the same issue . That is why I deleted the video too from my channel . Kindly do the same . And sorry for the inconvenience caused .
I did this bike worked fine in Manipur but now when in High heat in Punjab bike stalls and jerks until I reach higher speeds.
Change your relays .
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN do you have a video
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN found video
What will happen if I removed canister and ride bike ?
You HAVE TO plug the TB breather pipe .
I facing the same issues you mentioned.
remove it and you will surely notice a difference.
Oo how to change the same for Intercepter plz tell 👍
Just the same . Plug the hose coming from Throttle body and leave the hose from the tank to the ground .
Sir do you have an tamil channel?
No brother . You can ask me your doubts. Pls contact me via whatsapp 9962693431
Bro may I know where are you from?
Chennai
Is this bike ECU tuned?
yes it runs a powertronic.
My bike when we start bike some time the rom goes to 2000 and drops to 1250 very slowly i don't know why . And when we r in signal or taking turns the bike is getting off suddenly.any reason pls bro
You need to clean the Throttle Body and set the idle again .
As for stalling , you can start by removing the EVAP system .
Hey superb guys.....
Thanks Dear Brother
Make a video on rx 100
Sure .
Been facing problems ever since I deleted the EVAP 👎
Wouldn't suggest this to anybody. Just check your hoses, and make sure they're not pinched, you'll be good to go.
What kind of problems friend ?
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN Erratic idling/ High idling, cold start issues, Bad fuel economy
Make sure that the port on the throttle body where the evap hose connects is capped off or plugged. If not, it can cause the problems you mention. I did the delete on my himi and it fixed all the starting and idling problems. It starts now without needing the "choke".
These are the symptoms caused by a choked or clogged EVAP . This video will def help friend. I share a different more easier fix in this one .
Hey, I really wanted your opinion on something.
I purchased a Himalayan BS6 2021 two days back,
And from the first day itself it has stalling issues be it when I pull in the clutch for stopping or while making a U-turn where the bike gets a bit slow it stalls.
@@ONTWOWHEELSBEN Ben sir, he just mentioned that he did not trust the mechanic at the service center 🤷🏻
Calibrar sensor TPS, is a solución.
Thank you
🙏
No Stickers, paint job is superb though
What will be the problem if we leave the throttle body pipe to the canister?
Bro could I get yours garage location?
u tamil?
