This game has a cool world and great art.
Thanks so much for this! I just ordered the base game.
The kickstarter campaign almost pulled me in. Thank you for highlighting it, I may try to find it from another source.
Great video, as always! As a heads up, the "Far: Lone Sails" soundtrack on while playing this can really add to the atmosphere. Happy gaming everyone! 😁
Thanks for the review
Was wondering when you where gonna touch this one.
I'm not much of a journalist but I do like the concept of this game
If you’re looking for new games, you should try Apothecaria and Delve, both journaling solo RPGs, both excellent.
Yes I have had my eye on those as I am a fan of that designer. Thanks for the suggestions.
I just bought your book and I am excited to read it! What is your thoughts on doing a "solo" game together? I talked about it to my friend and he seemed really interested. I was going to split up the dice rolls of environment and the like together and figure out the world and roleplay together. Has that been something you've tried?
Hmm I’ve never thought of doing something like that. For my personal preference if I was playing with others I’d want someone to be a GM
I've played "multiplayer" with my younger sister before. It can be fun, takes a little brain work as any "solo" style gaming. We like to take turns of who's in control of the scene and either of us can't think of an out come we ask the other.
First! I’m going to pick this up tomorrow from Dragonmeet
It's really fun to play. The rules are very well written (it was my first big game and I could figure it out!) and lots of prompts and ways to put things together. There's also a good Discord channel for it.
If you could share this vid to the Discord folks I would appreciate that.
I thought the NPC chart worked like you drew three cards--one for name, one for characteristic, etc. Otherwise why the three different columns? That would just be ten or so stock NPCs, so why a table? It gives a BUNCH more options to mix and match that way.
You could do it either way. I show this on another table elsewhere in the vid
Do you feel a connection to your player. Are there enough decisions in the game play that you feel you are part of something bigger?
Looks OK. Nice art. Maybe this game is geared towards younger players, perhaps?
It’s a story/journaling game so much of the decisions are your own choices-they aren’t mechanically driven. You would become invested in your character if you like the world and journaling games but if that’s not your thing, the inherent content in the game wouldn’t cause you to become invested I don’t think (if that makes sense)
Awesome deck of cards... any chance on sharing where did you get them?
Seconded!
They are just a Bicycle deck I got somewhere.
Im searching for the most deep immersive from all these solo rpgs. There are so many i wanna get a really strong solid deep one
My advice is to look around at many videos to see what strikes you most. One person’s immersive experience may leave another person cold.
@@GeekGamers01 true. What I'm doing. I'm finding for a guided story and extensive dialogue and lore. (Not me being the gm)
The Thumping made me turn this off, I couldnt stand it
