Thanks so much for playing my game on stream like this! ❤️
Oh hey thank you for creating such a cool little gem! I really enjoyed working with it. Let me know if you ever create more content specifically for it. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@GeekGamers01 Will do! I have lots of ideas for Brighthammer. I just never seem to get around to sitting down and writing them out.
I understand and I feel the same way about my own RPG creation ideas :)
Friend sent me a link:
2 of my favorite projects I've ever been a part of! I did spot art on Errant (including trim on cover) and the Cover for all of the Brighthammer Booklets! A trip seeing them all together!
Oh wow that is so cool! The graphic design/artistic direction of both those projects are fabulous-something I probably neglected to mention in the vid. Congrats to you for being part of these products-both of which are so great
You rule HODAG!
Great Video! It was fun to see the Fate Mill D20 add to the story. Thanks!
I picked up Brighthammer and the Fate Mill die after this video and I’ve been having so much fun with them-along with your Solo GM Guide. Thanks for sharing these gems with us, as always. 😊
Awaiting the material to be in the description.
Was looking at Errent the other day, I liked some of the systems I saw debating getting it
This story felt like a big vision trip, a trial of the bard.
I've been looking for a book like AA & CC looks like I got another book on my wishlist now, haha thanks.
Thanks for pointing that out. Description fixed. I like your characterization of the story that developed. Agreed. It felt trippy in the end...In this vid, I focused on Errant for the spells but it has a bunch of other things in that are useful for soloists such as basic procedures for travel or downtime, for example. What it does not have is an extensive bestiary (though it does have rules for eating monsters). There are about 10 monsters in the book, some with slight variation, as well as rules for creating monsters and importing stats from other systems.
One of my favourite (and free) RPGs!
Loved this so much! I pretty strictly play small rules light games these days. That's all I really have energy or time for at the moment. So I loved getting introduced to another one to try.
ETA: Just thought about how Brighthammer + Pocket Delver would make a pretty delightful pocket rpg kit. Maybe there's a good pocket oracle with an inspiration table out there too.
Gald you enjoyed and great comment. Pocket Delver is another great little system and while I haven't thought to use with Brighthammer, it does call out for supporting material. I may do a vid on that game in the future.
The most pocket thing I ever got my self is GURPS Ultra-Light. It has a similar format like BRIGHTHAMMER
Ah yes. I have that……… somewhere!

ive really been trying to figure out a system thats both dimple enough to do on the go, but engaging enough to not feel boring or overly nebulous.
That’s a tough order in a small size. Have you played Four Against Darkness. Might be too simple for you depending on your criteria. D100 Dungeon has more detail going on and can also be played out of one book (or more, of course).
@@GeekGamers01 Hmm maybe. I was trying to do something similar to risus, where its essentially a resource management game with each creature defined by 2-5 resources, with a low total number of stats to remember.
really, I think the key is to keep the things I have to remember
Is it possible to pick up the pdf of A Place, Underground for those of us in the UK?
I’m not sure. I’d follow the link I provided which will take you to the publisher’s website.
@@GeekGamers01 The pdf is only available form LFOSR if you buy a physical copy. Just wondering if it's available anywhere else as the postage is a little pricey. I'm a big fan of your other books so I might just have to bite the bullet.
@@freethrall ah I see. I’m sorry but I’m not in control of what he releases!
this won't fit in my pocket! LOL I travel minimum 2 hours a day on peak hour public transport (a train with only lap space). Is there a solo RPG that I could utilise during my journey?
The title of the vid wasn’t necessarily meant literally-more meant to suggest portability. There are many games you could play on a laptop itself of course or for analog play you could go with just the basic Four Against Darkness main book, a pad of paper, a pencil, and a dice roller on your phone.
I've enjoyed Pocket Delver when I'm low on space. It's a simple dungeon game. Quest is rules light (easy to memorize) and there's a fan app to manage the spells.
@@TisiphoneSeraph That's a nice little game but needs a lot extra to flesh it out. I've been thinking of doing a demo vid on that game... maybe sometime!
