Go to a track day and you'll see how many people run Nankang AR1's, they offer so much grip and they're leagues ahead of other tyres! Just because it hasn't got Michelin on the sidewall doesn't make it a crap tyre 😆
My mate has ps4s on his merc 350c and we do corner to corner times on a stretch of road near us my golf mk4 has NS2R's on it and im over 3 seconds faster than him and its mainly down to how them tyres get u thru the corners
I think it's the Nankang UHP road tyres that get the bad rep, not so much the AR1 (semi-slick)... Michelin/Goodyear can be good, but overpriced and often overrated.

Heavy steering is due to the castor kit. Castor is the how much angle the steering axis is from the vertical, it effects the steering's self centering.

This guy is a legend!!! This motor is in a different league to anything, GTRs are in a class of their own. Standard they are mental quick (and with the traction to put the power down, and in all weather) and this is twice the power, fuckin insane. This GTR has gotta be the fastest motor going other than a full blown hypercar, and unless the hypercar was AWD, this would still waste it (especially on UK roads!)

for nick - semi slick & racing tyres do have steel/composite beads in the side walls to make them incredibly stiff, if you lift up a normal road tyre they are usually a good 4/5kg less per tyres because they dont have this side wall construction, when a tyre wall flex's it gives an impression that the car is sliding underneath you which you don't want in a racing tyre because this makes you feel like grip is reducing when in actual fact this is not the case. So race tyres are super stiff!

It's amazing that a 1000bhp gtr is a big deal here. But in the USA it's seemingly a minimum for competitive street racing .
American 1000bhp is prob Our 750-800hp knowing most of their dynos

Mainly our small roads mate and they are so windy. On big open roads 1000bhp plus is more usable I.e interstate.
The tune on my c43 apparently dynos at 420 at the wheels in america on dynojet dynos, before we ran it on the dyno charlie at surrey rolling road said that american whp figures are usually closer to his estimated crank figures, and surprise surprise it made 420bhp on his dyno lmfao. Its a well known fact usa dynos read a LOT higher than uk dynos.
