I have an R35 GTR (670hp) and you summed it up quite well they do feel heavy and the way you braked with the little skids/skips is the same for mine. Kind of surprised the brakes lasted but with the Carbons I guess that changes it. When I come over in my car do you want to take it round?
We must appreciate how fast this track is. The speeds most of the cars that run it reach is crazy. The dips, pivots and angles of the ring can only be felt on site
Did anyone notice that GTR burned 1/4 of fuel tank in just one lap 😂 The fuel tank has 74 liters and Nurburgring is about 20 km long, which means that fuel consumption in this lap was about 90 liters on 100 km 😅
I think I read somewhere, that GT3 cars take about 1 gallon per 2 minutes on track, which would be close to 3.5 gallons on the ring. So 13+ liters on one lap for sure, and this GTR has about the same horsepower.
Sounds so goood. I wish Nissan would do a proper revision as it’s pretty long in the teeth though. Would love to see an R35 “final edition” with less weight, enhanced aero, and digital gauge cluster as an example.
Not sure why Misha doubts the 7:08 Nismo lap time. An amateur driver on UA-cam got a 7:25 full lap with traffic and without a race team helping prep the car. The track package 'A' as it was called had more aggressive aero, custom set of fully adjustable ohlins, track diffs and many other bits.
And the 7:08 time was in 2013, the FIRST and *OLDER* version of the Nismo ! The latest Nismo model can do below sub 7mn easily. The 2020 Nismo already was faster than the 911 GT3RS 991.2 on Tsukuba. Imagine the 2024 version in the Nurburgring..
I’d love to hear Misha’s feedback on what he thinks of the car while driving. Maybe comparing it to the car’s competitors in that class. Great video! Edit : or a bit of a comparison after the lap, as talking while driving can be a bit distracting.
Agree, Misha normally talks about the dynamic of the car, the suspension handling, the speed in corners and how the traction is, comfort. This video he just said: the car drives great. You can feel the weight through the corners and needs more braking to stop.

This car's main problem is that it's so good, that everyone compares it to 911s, Lambos, and Ferraris. While actually price and platform wise it's in the range of the M5, and RS6.

You could argue it's easier in real life because of the feedback. You can work your way up to learning a car's limits and be trained the ins and outs of racing and specific tracks. The element of danger and being safe is obviously 1,000,000 times higher though. No reset button.

All we need is the music from that engine my guy.....

N attack package as tested in from the Nissan team includes revised ECU Ohlins custom dampers front and rear mechanical LSD and more aero bits upgrades. so unless you can drive one with the N-attack A package installed. I don't know how much you can judge. Especially when you know that none of the GT3/RS unless you change the suspension settings and rear wing settings to the "Track" settings/ I doubt you can do the same claimed time as well?

Only the latest 992 GT3RS is faster on track *for now.* But wait for the 2024 Nismo. Don't downplay the R35. The 2020 Nismo wich is the "older" version, was already faster than the 991.2 GT3RS on Tsukuba. And yes it's more special than a 911 because of it's history with the badge. Even engine/tuning potential the GT-R surpass every 911 in every way possible. Nissan is world wide known to be one of the best competitor for Porsches with the GT-R.

With cheap tires you have to pay extra attention, they can be decent in the dry but catastrophic in the wet. I will never understand how you can buy such an expensive car and then try to save money in the worst place possible. Tires are Zeknova rs606 r1, the thread pattern is a copy of ADVAN AD08 RS. The Nissan GTR, I have a love hate feeling with it. Later models with paddles on the steering wheel are the ones to have. A few of my friends have them and as much as I like the speed and with upgraded brakes, the brakes can be mighty. The one thing I don't like is all the pitch and yaw control that dumbs down the feel of the car in my opinion. I have lots of citicisms of it to be honest. The other week I sat and worked out everything that I sort of wanted from a fast GT style car. The conclusion that I came to.... the Nissan GTR. 😂

N-Attack package was serious upgrade ( basically race spec parts ), with both front and rear LSD, different ECU ( probably with +50 horses map on it), Ohlins 4way racing suspension, additional stabilizers and track pads, plus god knows what tyres and other parts. I know cheating on Ring is normal but you know BTGAlex had 7:13 BTG time, so you really think PRO driver and unlimited resources from company could not result with 1.5 second per kilometer faster than amateur ?? Seems realistic to me

@Misha Charouding, have you seen the lap record breaking video, they did with an N-Attack GT-R which not only have different suspension, lighter weight, better brakes, cooling upgrades, all 3 differentials were R-Spec, better tires etc. you named. And the driver was blasting thru the corners.
I only miss the owner of the BMW M5 E60 in the back seat for contrast. GTR owner chilled out sometimes with only a slight smile of contentment. great guy 💪👍
I was expecting something else when I read "Code Brown" but I'm happy nobody had an actual code brown or at least what I think of when I hear code brown.
I have tons of hours with GT-R Nismo and one thing you should not do is allow the ABS to quick in...otherwise you go straight to the barriers. Also, this car is amazing on the curves, it feels really safe and your neck will not be thankful after the amount of G-Force this car can put on it. Nice drive btw :)
Thats exactly what happened to me except I took damage :D Luckily I decided I wasnt saving it and drove into the slide which allowed me to straighten out just enough to only tap the rails. Still... about 6k worth of body damage thanks to a unibody on the mustang.

Trust me, a Gtr doesn't feel like a GT. Drove a 2017 Black Edition and even if its heavy, its definitely a sportscar

Gtr is a cool car but has non of the things i want in a car . I want a naturally aspirated lightweight manual rwd car and the gtr is the opposite

@Misha Charouding, have you seen the lap record breaking video, they did with an N-Attack GT-R which not only have different suspension, lighter weight, better brakes, cooling upgrades, all 3 differentials were R-Spec, better tires etc. you named. And the driver was blasting thru the corners.
At 7:20min that bmw was spinning off

I only miss the owner of the BMW M5 E60 in the back seat for contrast. GTR owner chilled out sometimes with only a slight smile of contentment. great guy 💪👍
I was expecting something else when I read "Code Brown" but I'm happy nobody had an actual code brown or at least what I think of when I hear code brown.
I have tons of hours with GT-R Nismo and one thing you should not do is allow the ABS to quick in...otherwise you go straight to the barriers. Also, this car is amazing on the curves, it feels really safe and your neck will not be thankful after the amount of G-Force this car can put on it. Nice drive btw :)

Thats exactly what happened to me except I took damage :D Luckily I decided I wasnt saving it and drove into the slide which allowed me to straighten out just enough to only tap the rails. Still... about 6k worth of body damage thanks to a unibody on the mustang.
