Just got a set of rough st bumpers for my project car and this is on the list to do. Never done bodywork before but can’t wait. Yours look really good, great video 👍👍
Thanks mate I really appreciate it I’m not a body guy I’m useless at it haha just got a mate who I learn off as long as you prep it and clean it properly and paint nice thin even coats you’ll be fine 😊👍🏻
The “bumper black” on the grilles really ties the rest of the plastics around the car in nicely. It’s the way they should have been from the factory. Did mine 6 months ago as they were once sprayed matt black and that had started peeling off. Bumper black looks way better anyway!
Thanks mate I’m really happy with it and how did you paint them sounds like you might have needed some plastic primer and spray each coat when the last coat applied is tacky rather than dry you’ll find it’ll bond better and won’t be able to be scratched of with your nail when dry
@@6uiltdifferent yeah the previous owner painted the plastics and wheels with Matt black. It took a few weeks and the paint started failing. I ended up stripping it all back to bare plastic, then plastic prime and finally bumper black. I used CarRep bumper black which was a bit smoother than the one you used, but still a slight texture.
@@TheKittyRanch ahh right Atleast you sorted it I find it’s worse when someone else has messed it up bet it looks a lot nicer now though mate that’s the main thing
Looking good bro, they make such a difference! Especially on the white as well 😍 your face when you were talking about the fog light surrounds 😐 had me in stitches 😂😂 impressed with that textured paint too 👀 great video, keep it up 👊🏻
Thanks mate looks so much better literally the camera does it no justice and yeah I wasn’t happy I had to re do one already and was praying I could get it done first time and leave it 🤣 yeah that paints good just the nozzle gets clogged easy only down side and thanks mate doing my best 🤣

Sounds good mate I was considering a smooth finish myself but I thought I’d try this first and it ties in quite well and yeah you’ve got to do the fog surrounds in gold will look nice that mate, might go led’s in 2 minds atm as I’ve got led bulbs in them now and they’re really bright possibly if I swapped one out for an intake feed, thanks mate I really appreciate it got some more stuff coming that I’m sure you guys will enjoy 😊👍🏻

So you hit it with 400 grit, then 600 grit before primer?
That’s what I did to get the ceramic coating off
Which front lip do you have and where I can buy?
Trc mate just type in triple r composites and it should come up with their website
Looks nice
Thanks mate 👍🏻😊
