I was trying to get someone to do projector install on my ST150 but seems like could be a pain with wiring, costs etc so thinking I may try to split and spray paint the headlight black so least it looks better to standard. I've got a new project thread on my channel 😁
Nice! Headlight restore do work kits but they are only temporary. Highly recommend ChrisFix Permanent Headlight Restore video (600 grit/2000 grit, anti UV lacquer - gonna look you up on Instagram in case you wanna have a peep how they came out posting soon as did it last weekend) then a sponge £7 3" foam pad set off ebay, a drill on medium on the lacquer and some compound (Meguiars ultimate for anyone interested), and after half hour on each, both came up great. Took a several days to do all the stages properly with 24hr drying per stage, but still cheaper than buying a temp kit, if you have the time.
I used Chris fix's video on doing my headlights. Came out like new. I think another good method is after sanding machine compound and polish then apply a UV resistant ceramic coating on.
@@zaink7037 Agreed - I applied Turtle wax (normal) then their Hybrid Sealant Hydrophobic Wax - 500ml spray (called Ice in the US) to protect the lacquer. That stuff if you haven't tried it is semi-ceramic and lasts about 3 months - i use it on wheels (prevents brake dust build up) windows, windscreen, everything. Makes it VVV shiny and water just runs off it. Dead easy to wash the car too once applied. It just falls off. Very much recommended and cheap.
@@djmandrick will look into that 👍. I was looking at gtechniq c1 crystal laquer but thought it wasn't worth it if I'm only using it for the headlights. Could of used it on the bodywork but I'd have to machine polish it all so the paint is near perfect for application.
Hello!, Voglio aprire il faro e togliere in vetro arancione davanti alla lampadina di direzione, ma poi come fare per avere la luce arancione e far sembrare il faro bianco?
Even though you said it looks tacky it looks really good 👍. Was wondering what colour you painted the insides. In terms of the headlight lens I used 1000 grit then 3000 grit wet sand then sprayed clear coat on. Came out like new. There was some runs from the clear coat but you can't see it from just looking at it. Here's also my build topic of the headlight restoration. It's halfway down the page if you want some ideas 👍 www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/97539-mk65-fiesta-zetec-s-upgrades/page/6/
Just gloss black mate but it came out more of a satin colour but I can't complain as I was considering going for satin anyway haha I'll have a gander zainster 👍🏻
That Lego brick battery cover is a mint idea man!!

How did you reseal the light lens with the housing? Did you apply sealant or just heated the gel on the housing and pushed the lens in?
Love your vids mate! Cars looking mint, inspiring me to make some mods to my fiesta👌
Same here man. I only have the SE trim but I've worked on it a lil so it's quick enough. Most mods have been minor cosmetics tho
All good clean fun guys nice job

Please can you advise exactly how to split the headlights and then get them back sealed so you don't get any misting up
Please watch FF04ORD tutorial video that I mentioned in the vid. Link should be in the description. Cheers
Is that Lego box the air box 😲 lol love it where did you get it from...
Looks like it's on the battery, it's pretty common. It's a lego storage box just with cutouts to fit
Limitless777 hit the nail on the head
Dude serious ass crackage 9.55 😯
Should pull up ya thong mate next time 🙄
Bro have you seen the Ford bible on Instagram? They run car shows
Yeah man seen their stands at most shows I go to 👍🏻
Blue for man, red for nice guests from other planets. The red color makes it an absolutely chick car. Fiesta unisex.
How did you change the indicator lens to a clear one mate?
You don't you just remove the orange one
Yep, figured it out, cheers though mate
@@redrambleson9785 sorry for the slow reply boss
R23 OWL can you remove the lense without splitting the headlight?
Ben, unfortunately not mate
As I am finding the rim with 4×108, there is nothing on the web....
Which stud pattern do you have on fiesta ?
