I agree, plastic filled in vents, nasty fake exhausts and cheap plastic trim all over the exterior has ruined Mercedes Benz, but BMW has decided not to follow this awful trend.

i don't say G05 ugly, but missing some "manly" which is important in X series
i owned E70 and F15, E70 handles better. F15 is like for a lady who like to drive big car lightly (doesn't feel solid)

This is what I think since the first public release of the car. Seeing more pictures of it didn't make me change my opinion on that.
It´s not all about the looks but more about the car being more aerodynamic. Come to think of why most of modern cars all have round rears, instead of sharp edges. Mercedes for example, all of their cars are more or less completely round, especially the new back of the A-class. It is for sure not the best looking car, but in terms of aerodynamics very well formed.

The gesture tailgate on the 2017 X1 closes on its own while you are loading and unloading. It is very dangerous. Has anyone had this issue with other models or makes that have the gesture tailgate-open feature?
