  • Woodturning - In this video I finish turn this huge maple burl, it's not the largest turning I've ever done but it's the largest burl I've ever done! Lots of challenges in completing a finish turning like this and this one was no exception. I will link the roughing out video of this turning at the end so you can see it from start to finish. Thanks for watching and please share with your friends!

I have spent a long time practicing turning with a gauge etc. and watching people with scrapers working on pieces I find boring and skip to the end result, I use carbide scrapers for resin when needed but only when needed. That is why I like watching you work, the end result is a good to look at as the use of the tools to get there. Thank you. I use my tools differently now because of the way you have shown and it has made me a better turner.

When I saw that this was a burl I was anticipating more twisty grain - which I really like. This bowl is still beautiful though.

Beautiful bowl. Really wish You Tube would fix it so we could add comments to videos on the TV instead of having to open the mobile app to add comments. I love to use my TV to watch the videos on then I have a hard time finding the video I want to comment about.
