AWESOME! Big fan of Bry! Trying to incorporate his advice into my swing to make ANY gains. Love the way Bry breaks it down into simple changes that each can give you incremental gains. Thanks!
Shields just did a video with a long drive guy. But they focused on club speed. This gentleman’s view of focusing on ball speed seems more productive. Great video Alex. Keep it up
I gotta go hit my driver! Wow!! That was a fun and informative lesson, impressive speed and distance gain. Be interesting to watch as you learn how to harness that newfound power. Keep em coming Alex.
Great video Alex. I follow Bry Roberts on social media. He gives some great advice just like your self . That was incredible how much ball speed you picked up
Great to see ... even at 65 years of age .. about once a round I'll hit one ball that carries about 270 and finishes around 300 yards out .. but I can never .. never... tell the difference between that drive and all the others that I've hit that day.... absolutely maddening. My usual drive carries 245 and finishes about 260.
Very Good Alex! I don't think it's a swing you would want to use during a round; but enjoyable to watch! In order for me to get width into my backswing, I think of holding the left thumb with my right hand and extending the arms outward as far as I can over my left shoulder. I am now considering combining this with a raised left heal and then coming down onto the left leg as Bryan suggests. The one I have been using has definitely gained me more distance with driver and looking for more with Bryan's method. I've learned a lot from this video! Thanks Alex!!!
The step up and away off left foot is caused by the body’s momentum after using the quads in the release and in order to do that, you need to give it 110% explosive effort, not your normal swing and this is why you don’t use it so much in scoring golf cause the % fairway hit will plummet.
AWESOME video Alex. Cant wait to try that. Have to ask........322 HAS to be one of your longest drives as its longer than the tour average, correct?. What was your longest to date before this?
My ball speed PR is 182.5MPH & swing speed PR is 128MPH but my distance PR is only 326 yards(standard 9 degree Aerojet LS). Do you think my lack of distance is due to not having a driver spec'd for long drive, my inconsistencies in my swing or both? My goal is to hit 200+ ball speed, 140+ swing speed and 350+ yards by next spring.
Well ! This lesson was vert interesting. I could use more distance, like everyone that plays the game. The move down scares me a little . I would be afraid of driving the club into the ground. My son in law tells me I graze the ground or drop kick a lot of my tee shots.
Alex, this was great to see! Adding this routine to my practice list. (Don’t worry, friends…I won’t unleash this on the course until I get it as close to perfect as possible! 😉)
Too much fun! Thanks to both of you, it was entertaining and educational. I'll try some of these, but I am afraid... my single biggest detriment to scoring is keeping my drive in play, (It's just not as fun using a 3 wood!!!)... and I think that if I wind up and explode my control will be even less. Gotta try thought:)
This might good advice for a good player. I'm a 5 handicap and i dont swing 113 anymore. I have a day job and i'm getting old. The vast majority golfers should worry less about speed and more about strike. How come every youtube golf guy flies it 270 with ease on the machine? Thats a nice hit for me certainly not done every time.
Kicking that leg straight and foot down drives up the shoulder and further whips the club head - kicking the foot off the ground even more so drives the shoulder higher. That extra mph from that whip effect. Maybe you know but was not explained.
*I didn’t expect this 😳 what a lesson it was from Bry Roberts LD*
Great video. Very fun to watch.
Now you’re a long driver, huh? This is what happens to rugby players who play golf.

Good to watch Alex. If I tried this I would be visiting the local A and E.
It is incredible the club and ball speeds the long drive guys can generate!
The BIG CHEESE!!! Love the cross-over content.
Fantastic. Great exposition of ball striking Alex. We can all employ these principals into our game. So just smash it.
thank you!

Yes, Alex, Bry is the best. He's a great teacher too. Thank you.

yeah i agree! thanks for tuning in john hope you enjoyed it
Surprised to hear a regular flex driver. Hmm. Bry's a good guy, glad to see him on other channels. Even improved Mr Harrison's by 37 yds.
👍🏻😎

Will have to give it a try I hope I don't hurt myself.
hahah please don't haha let me know how you get on though
Bry is the best!!!
0:55 carry 264 282 is the range on a cliff?
Great video.... thanks
AWESOME video Alex. Cant wait to try that. Have to ask........322 HAS to be one of your longest drives as its longer than the tour average, correct?. What was your longest to date before this?
That is correct, this is my longest ever by a long was i would say 305 was my max before then

The teacher has become the student 👍
What was his club spec's again? I swear I heard him say "regular flex"....Great video...how addictive is speed???
yes that is right! regular flex !

Whats the app you use to see speed and distance of your driver?

Liked the content change of pace from the normal lesson .
great Tom happy to hear you enjoyed the video today
I knew you had it in you....congratulations!
Really cool video, love your channel
Thanks for the visit, love to hear your enjoying the videos
Quite interesting, with my knees I would be in traction if I tried that.

thank you david! glad you enjoyed it
100% I have a green light to try. Hit my drives 9/ 10 dead straight but short. Of course its a 13 degree driver with a too big grip size.
Well done alex 👏 👍
THANK YOU So much roy
Great video Alex, can you imagine working with Bry for a summer, wow , now you can hit the hot tub and give those muscles a break.
lessons on the big dog, with the big dog.lucky man.
Fun to watch, don’t think I could hit it straight if I tried it.

Launch monitor? please

Hi thanks for the comment. I would say it’s a near average drive for a pro?
did he actually say 130 club speed at the beginning? surely not
Hope it works for me
once you have given it a go please let me know how you get on
I’d have to pack two dozen balls to play a round with a swing anything like that…Hahaha.
He didn't do that raise up move in his swing
Awesome! Fun 2 watch! Wanna smash driver now
I can see it working for a long drive comp but would destroy the average golfers swing.
I reckon u'd get even better speed if bry showed u how to happy Gilmour the ball🤪
haha 100%
I prefer 250 down the middle, than 290 in the rough, just sayin.
This is great speed, but you want to find the fairway.
Alex- neither of you seem to understand WHY the lead foot comes up off the ground.
Kicking that leg straight and foot down drives up the shoulder and further whips the club head - kicking the foot off the ground even more so drives the shoulder higher. That extra mph from that whip effect. Maybe you know but was not explained.
If I swung like you guys I'd be seeing a chiropractor.
Lmaooo driver is almost same size as alex
i know right 😂
So I’ll be losing 2 dozen balls in the morning, cheers lads!!!
