Why do people complain that comedians reuse the same jokes? It's their jokes they can reuse it if they want to. No body complains when musicians perform the same songs on different stages. You know how hard it is to consistently come up with funny material and stay funny in a short amount of time?

They should come up with new jokes.... For the same place they perform. That's all. They can reuse their joke in diffirent places, but shouldnt reused it too much later in their career.
Comedians make their jokes better and then use them. They evolve their material. This joke is better now than 9 years ago when he told it.

comedians do hundreds of shows every year, if they're lucky, and it takes them anywhere between a month to several years to develop a good hour of jokes. being a comedian is one of the toughest jobs out there, they gotta do what they can to give a good show. reusing material is one of them, and shouldnt be frowned upon.

I understand what you're saying and agree wit most of it.....but to say being a comedian is one of the toughest jobs out there, is absolutely absurd. I respect the hard work they put it and know it's probably extremely difficult. But amongst the toughest? Cop, fire fighter, soldier, hazmat crew, underwater welder, etc. just to name a few.... come on now.
B & C Balchin You are missing the point. Being a comedian is a job that needs you to be mentally advanced in order to produce good jokes. It's a job MENTALLY difficult. Now, the jobs that you mention need bravery, strength, self-sucrifice and discipline. They are difficult in a whole different level. Of course, I am telling my opinion and don't wish to create a fight.

No doubt, comedians usually work off of a few sets. It takes a long time to reach 7 billion people, so it isn't their fault that somebody looked up every single show a comedian ever did and found that they told the same jokes to a different group of people. Basically what I'm saying is that they overexposed themselves but don't know how accountability works.
