Gray couches are still in! And not just because I still have one. In the video you showed a blonde colored weaved tray/bowl after showing the gray couch… Pairing warm woods or blonde warm accents soften gray couches and give it an organic feel. (Think stone with straw)
Gray definitely needs some natural tones to warm it up! But set against another set of gray accent chairs? That little vignette needed a bit more life 👍
I like matchy, matchy, especially in the bedroom because it has calming effect and for most people it is a easy way to decorate your master bedroom You can add bedding, and assessories to make more personal

I like old brass and carved wood. I think I saw a carved wooden screen in the background and it was beautiful. I just hope it was a real wood. My favorite color is green and my kua color is dark green. Yes, I love reupholstering pieces that the fabric just annoys me but I love the item. I have my grandmother's old velvet ironing plate. You put what look like little pins on the velvet side to not crash the fabric and iron the opposite side. I still have the beautiful gown she made me for an event. I'm a real antique lover and old things lover. I really enjoy your videos. I love studying feng shui and how it benefits people living in a space.

Yay! I aced the “real or faux” stone test. I think it’s the finish on them that registers for me. Unfortunately, I’m the same way with jewelry. Show me a comparison, and I will pick out the most expensive one! I’m so sorry for your emotional week. It’s one of the hardest things to do. I hope the girls are ok. As adults, we can know that it was for the best, but children don’t see that. Your girls may be too young to understand what loss even truly means. I think they just know that their mom is upset, even when we try to keep it from them. I hope the shopping “therapy” has helped
The girls are doing great Jeanne-Marie, thank you for thinking of them. Azuki was really “my” dog, so the loss for me was tremendous. My last rescue before having kids, so much sentiment there 🥹

I stayed away from grey furniture. For my fabric sofa I went with dual colors. Red maroon for the body and creamy white for the cushions. The fabric are textured like rugs. Frame for the sofa is solid wood. I love textures.

I’ve done an entirely gray kitchen before and the trick is to keep it on the warm side/ almost with brown undertones so it doesn’t feel too gloomy (Casa Hacienda in case anyone wants to see it). Thank you Marina! Taking it day by day 💖
My dog is my world. My condolences to you. ♥️ I have a mid century modern in Palm Desert. Lots of white. I used touches of gray, for example, I was given an appropriate gray sofa with wood trim. The previous owner did driftwood type faux wood floors. The ceilings are a very pale gray. But the doors are bright yellow, the golf course is vivid green and the sky is brilliant blue most days. So I understand if you’re in foggy London, gray sucks. Yellow and gray in a mid century in the desert is lovely. The door knobs are black, the faucets vary from stainless to gold on natural marble, black on white. My house in Sausalito was beige. I hated beige. So prefer white with some gray. My next house will be on the central coast. It will have some caramel. I think it’s all about a little of this with a lovely coordinated or curated color. A pop of yellow and turquoise works in the desert. I love the designers AND they stress me out. I can’t redesign every house without respect for the place, what is there and how the vide feels. I have redecorated with a bulldozer and started from scratch. This lovely mid century with province, deserve another life.
Sense of place is everything in design, I agree. What may work in one location would look out of place in another. I’ve stayed at many luxury rentals in the desert, filled with vibrant color and life! Keep your theme, just tone it down so it doesn’t borderline on garish 🙌👍
I like French pleats (with concealed rings) for a little formality. Rod top is nice bunched up, but a little cumbersome to operate if the rod opening is not generous

I stayed away from grey furniture. For my fabric sofa I went with dual colors. Red maroon for the body and creamy white for the cushions. The fabric are textured like rugs. Frame for the sofa is solid wood. I love textures.

I’ve done an entirely gray kitchen before and the trick is to keep it on the warm side/ almost with brown undertones so it doesn’t feel too gloomy (Casa Hacienda in case anyone wants to see it). Thank you Marina! Taking it day by day 💖

I have a mid century modern in Palm Desert. Lots of white. I used touches of gray, for example, I was given an appropriate gray sofa with wood trim. The previous owner did driftwood type faux wood floors. The ceilings are a very pale gray. But the doors are bright yellow, the golf course is vivid green and the sky is brilliant blue most days. So I understand if you’re in foggy London, gray sucks. Yellow and gray in a mid century in the desert is lovely. The door knobs are black, the faucets vary from stainless to gold on natural marble, black on white.
My house in Sausalito was beige. I hated beige. So prefer white with some gray.
My next house will be on the central coast. It will have some caramel. I think it’s all about a little of this with a lovely coordinated or curated color. A pop of yellow and turquoise works in the desert.
I love the designers AND they stress me out. I can’t redesign every house without respect for the place, what is there and how the vide feels. I have redecorated with a bulldozer and started from scratch. This lovely mid century with province, deserve another life.
Sense of place is everything in design, I agree. What may work in one location would look out of place in another. I’ve stayed at many luxury rentals in the desert, filled with vibrant color and life! Keep your theme, just tone it down so it doesn’t borderline on garish 🙌👍
