I went to Mykanos years ago: we turned up without accomodation and ended up staying in a micro-caravan on a camp site!! What we do in our twenties...So many places I have been I would have loved to have been there out of season. Away from the heat and the people! So thank you for this little virtual weekend away x

Another lovely video Ivana, thank you for taking us along....I am the same, avoiding crowded places, except then I get lazy/stressed/busy about organizing a travel and miss out...I was in Mykonos when I was I think 18 or so, with my family, on holidays in the summer...that was quite a while ago....I really love Greece so much, it is a country that is in my heart......in the meantime I have been faithful knitting on only one project and I am seeing the end of it...incredible (I am a slow knitter) I need to practice knitting one project at a time more often! It is actually helping me rest inside, but now I am itching to start a thousand projects...and my mind is spinning with what will be the next one as soon as this is done. This is a gift for my mom and I hope to give it to her this weekend if I finish on time, even if it may be too warm already, It is a cumulus blouse in mohair from drops, in a light green, and years ago I bought some green precious stones on a trip in South Africa which I always wanted to make into a necklace...if I find them it would be a great match...too ambitious probably... sending you Love and Light

I'm mostly monogamous knitter but with a "twist" :)
I like to have maybe three different projects on the go, that use different size needles so I can switch if my hands get tired (but I tend to focus on one main one).

Oh that was such fun Ivana, thank you for sharing. What a lovely place and a great idea to visit off season to avoid all the crazy hustle and bustle and party atmosphere. I pack like you when traveling, I’ll even decant things down into little travel containers. I love little bags to organise and how lovely your mum made them. Thanks Karen... little travel containers are a great idea because I never seem to like the shampoo and conditioner the hotels give.

Thank you for sharing all that fabulous history of Mykonos, so lovely seeing this video my last visit was 40 years ago,.
Lovely to see the old town,of course now all the cruise ships shops are there instead of the old market.
I remember the August winds as I worked on a small yacht and had problems trying to get into the harbour.
I too would only go in the off season

Thank you for taking us with you on this trip. It's beautiful and I loved it!!
I see some resemblances with some villages here where I live in the south of Portugal, mainly the whitewashed houses with blue details around the windows, mainly. Also, we have a lot of tradition involving olive trees and olive oil and other products of that sort. I guess it's quite a mediterranean influence traditions.
They say that cats tend to gravitate toward people they feel comfortable with, they gravitate to those who are affectionate and caring. That purring of his was just adorable!!
When it comes to food, I always say that I don't mind paying higher as long as you eat well and it tastes delicious.

Thank you for answering. Yes. Kindred spirits. I am now crocheting baskets! Lol. They are such fun. I did find some fiber in my stash. I will soon get out my spinning wheel. I have missed it so. I too, love your beautiful area and the trips that you have shared. I hope you are doing better as well. CBD products are so helpful! I have been dealing with Lyme. It fun and have chosen the more natural path with tinctures. Supplements and acupuncture. This has helped me greatly along with CBD oil. Relief is such a blessing. It is a healing road and knitting. Weaving. Painting. And just creating and making as been a life line for me. Thank you again dear heart!❤

It's great you are crocheting baskets now... I find them so useful and have them all over my house, covering plastic plant pots, storage for my socks, bracelets and even make up.

Loved your video of Mykonos. We visited last June on a Mediterranean cruise with our three twenty something granddaughters. Lovely shops and places to eat. We were told that the churches are so prevalent because people would get a tax credit if they built a church on their property 🇳🇮

Dear Ivana, thank you for sharing your trip to Mykonos. We’re having a raining Sunday and I’m drinking tea, knitting and spending time with you. I totally get why you don’t want to go during the tourist season. We live with the reality of going from 1000 people to over 20,000 people in the summer. And we do have a bit of a party atmosphere here. My husband and I choose to stay home or go to the off the beaten path beaches during the summer. Fortunately our home and property allows for a vacation getaway vibe, so our friends and family come to us. Love the little churches! 💕

I loved your travel log - glorious. It is nice to get a sense of the culture - lmy 17 year old daughter is half Cypriot and she enjoys the sensing of her YiaYia and Papou come from as we watch the podcast together. Hvala draga Miro. Mikonos je presladak i drago mi je sto sam imala sansu da ga vidim. Takodje mislim da odluka da odemo van sezone je bila prava jer smo mogli opusteno da se setamo i razgledamo bez guzve.
