The way it works for me is i temper the bad item first then the good amd if the good dosent get it, i do the bad twoce then the good amd that usually works

Thats one thing I hope they change, make the roll % a random number but make it so it doesnt roll the same affix over and over, i've bricked 2b in weapons from insanely unlucky rng, Can't say this method works because I have been fkd over by it for the aforementioned reason but at the same time still try to do it in case it does increase odds /shrug
I just sold int GA max armor +3 ranks flame shield for 50mil mighr sell other 1 for 200mil since its now sort after lol

Tried all of this nonsense today on 3 Barb weapons. Looking to get Bash Cleave.
15 rolls. I only got Upheaval area and Kick Vulnerable. Never even saw a Bash Cleave or even a HotA buff in those 15 rolls.
So I turned the game off for a bit. Lol.

I mean look...just have a stash set out for 5 really good piece of each gear and roll one at a time. Odds are u will get the right tamper on each wearable piece. I spent hours doing the helltide glitch, t90 pits and uber duriel today. Was able to get 5 good helmets, chests, gloves, etc. All with at least 1 GA on it. My firebolt sorc is now immortal and hits like a fawking fire comet!

Always good information. I decided to try going with 3 ranks in to ALL defensive skills instead. You lose 1 rank, but the other ranks are a nice bonus.
I thought of that idea too AO! I just want to make sure it’s infinite then I’ll try other things with it!
I haven’t bricked an item since I started doing this so I’m in the Pity mechanic works camp.
Geared a Druid and a Barb doing this after I had a terrible time gearing my Necro before I saw Rob’s video:)

The thing to consider is how many affix options there are. For example, if the item being rolled has 3 possibilities, your odds of getting what you want are greater than if there are 5 options. This mechanic will work better the more options you have available.
That makes sense … kinda why I switched it to 2 bad rolls at the end there!
