This was helpful. I spent a few month practicing fakies and have gotten decent with rollouts. I have begun working on half cabs now and finally pulled one off last night. I was just watching Charles Littlejohns halfcab video, and from there I wound up on this video. I realized that I am doing exactly what Emores suggested NOT to do. I am muscling my bike. I can J-hop, but when I'm going fakie I tend to do just do a small two wheel hop. Maybe its the fear and awkwardness of throwing my weight back while going backwards, but this video gave me a few things to work on: 1. Work on hopping the correct way when half-cabbing, instead of forcing my bike to spin 2. I noticed he is pre-loading his legs BEFORE raising his front. I am yanking the front outright then raising the rear. Thats probably why my back wheel never gets up too high.
Frame geometry like stand over height rear end lengths head tube angle what the difference is between longer an shorter rear end an why, difference in standover an why, stem height an lengths an why, difference between a trail/bowl blaster to street tictac jibberoo. Oh an this was a good informative how to, the hop from back foot an the hop instead of force it all good stuff. Practice a manual an hop out of it is good bike control practice
Can anyone recommend a video that gives a good "roll out" tips or how tos? I can get the 180 around, i can roll backwards, but i cannot for the life of me turn around unless i cab and even then it isnt consistent. Any help would be so much appreciated!
We'll do our best to get you some tips. practice focusing on where your weight and balance point is when you are trying to fakie and turn around. bend your knees and sit down a little bit, then muscle that bike around, 💯
I am trying to Air off a bank to same bank. Along this rode, it is like 2 foot ramp Along sidewalk. It is amazing. There is a Drain, i want to air over on this bank. I can't get the Down part.... I can hop up, 180 er close enough, but the down ????? I Love Nate, Like i Love Lamp. I love Lamp.
Commitment is easy.. Hard to do but its easy dog. keep your foot on and see what happens. that all Dennis Enarson does is holds on tight and sees what happens..
