Dont know if you guys gives a damn but if you guys are bored like me atm you can stream pretty much all the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. Been watching with my gf for the last couple of days =)
First, learn how to endo. Then learn how to endo turn. Then learn how to carve the endo, until your doing an endo 180. Once you can do that, learn how to bunny hop to endo. Start hopping into the endo turns, make the hops bigger every time. Eventually, you won’t have to spin on your front tire anymore, and will be doing 180s.
I haven’t tried it yet but excellent progression model from a teaching stand point. You’re taking something that most people would find difficult and making it reasonable.
Great tutorial Nick! Today will be my third session on trying to learn hop 180s on flat. I think I’m close. I’ve landed couple but I’m far from consistent. I’m hoping today is the day! I wish I had a big berm like that while on lock down!
Very good video, explained well. Production on this was very good as well. Going to try on my BMX (relearning really on the BMX) and then work my way up to the MTB (never done this).
thanks for this video! funny thing, I find it easier to have my left foot forward and my body feels more natural turning to the left, but when it comes to berms I actually feel comfortable turning either right or left, kinda funny tbh.
I like the way you describe it! Its pretty helpful. Imo the only thing you forgot is the danger of damaging your rims pretty bad while learning that trick. Maybe you wanna put a link for a good rim centering video into the comments.
I've sold my bmx first because it destroyed my body 😅 and second because I needed money to buy my giant reign and was a bit disappointed because I almost learned 180 on the bmx but now it seems impossible on the mtb but you gave me hope 😂😂
@@xjbmx777 yea I’ve been having that problem lately. I just took some videos of me acting like a pussy “attempting 180s” by riding around in a circle for 30min. That was enough to get me to try it lol
I can fakie but i cant get out of the fakie and i cant go to 90 grades like the first thing of the 180 and it pisses me off really bad i have had some ateempts at trying it again from other videos but i cant get it and it is really annoying
Nice job explaining dude. Not an easy thing to do. Are you on flats? I should know this as a subscriber, I’m sorry. I will definitely be trying this. You da man!
problem is when your coming out of fakie your gonna have to turn kinda akwadly since its not gona be a circular motion and more like half a circle 2 times.
understanding the biology part of it can actually help too! at least it did for me! brains work based a lot off of repetition so if you do something a lot, or even if you don't do it a lot but you do it consistently, you'll learn so much more than just randomly doing it whenever you kinda feel like it. Think of it as a "pathway that grows the more you walk on it." kind of like the trails you ride!! it'll grow the more you ride on it because you're tearing up the old grassy hill to make way for a new clean trail to ride. in your brain, you're just "tearing up" the old unused skill of riding a basic bike forwards only and expanding it to something that not only works forwards but also backwards, sideways and every direction you can imagine! Brains are AMAZING and can learn just about anything you throw at them as long as you do it consistently! even if you don't feel like learning said thing
There are obviously a lot of ways to learn bike tricks, but I'd probably send someone to a quarter pipe to practice this stuff instead of trying to find a hill that is suitable. Start low, get comfortable. The higher you go on a QP the easier it is. Get good at it and then start bringing it back down until you're pretty much flat.
The way you explain how you learnt is so helpful
I love that your tutorials are at the high school I attended, it's like I'm going back to school for somthing I will actually use!
I didn’t even pay attention to the tutorial. I was mesmerized by the back suspension because I have a hard tail and I never see that.
Dude it does not matter the doble susp many people prefer it with a hardtail so there is no excuse
@@manologarciaantuna4078 what? I wasn't making an excuse i was just saying how the suspension looked cool. I"m still gonna try the trick man

@Jax Shane definitely, been using InstaFlixxer for years myself :)
@Jax Shane yup, I have been watching on instaflixxer for years myself :D
After many losses and thousands of tries I learned how to 180! Thank you so much!🤝
I absolutely love how you talk about some of the stuff that actually helped you figure it out
I've always wanted to do it on a bmx so cheers but the jacket noise gives me a shiver down the spine 😂

Honestly this helps a lot
This is definately my favourite style of tutorial mtb videos

2:51 VanCan: I learned I liked turning left.
Nascar: Let us introduce ourselves.
This is such a good relaxed tutorial 🤘🏼 I also love how you did it on your enduro, so we don’t have any excuses on our bikes!
Teaching these poor people how to bend their rims. And just in time for taco Tuesday. Haha.
Legit more likely you'll taco landing sideways off a jump
only done this on cheap low quality rims and im a big boy compared to most people.
@@youngchild9294 if you are a big boy why your name is a young child
@@yahyabadnjki7276 ironic i guess
Yeah that's what I'm scared of already cinked my rim
Dude, thank you, been looking for a decent vid for 180s.
I can do endo 180s but i cant quite get the full rotation when doing normal 180s
This is one of the most helpful ones I’ve watched
Very good video, explained well. Production on this was very good as well. Going to try on my BMX (relearning really on the BMX) and then work my way up to the MTB (never done this).
Thanks for this! I've been having challenges completing a fakie. Your technique helped me on my half cab bigtime :)
I've been trying to learn this trick for like 3 months and this video has helped
Very nice and understandable explanations. Love your content! Keep it up!
Great vid. Always enjoy them. 40k subscribers! Kudos and keep up the good work.
6:28 doctor suess who?
Cheers to another great lesson from the MIB Mtb Academy!
Dude thats so good the best explanation ever.

I would love to learn that trick
Very good video 👌
I can sometimes manage a 90* hop but I can’t even imagine a 180
Awesome video, I love watching these kind of videos, super helpful. I am trying to Grow my MTB youtube channel got any tips?
the sad thing is that I perfectly know how to flat 360 my bmx, but I'm just too afraid to 180 my trail bike and bend my rim....
Exactly the same. I can hop 3 my bmx, the definitely freaked out to 180 the mtb and smoke the rear wheel.
@@xjbmx777 yea I’ve been having that problem lately. I just took some videos of me acting like a pussy “attempting 180s” by riding around in a circle for 30min. That was enough to get me to try it lol

Another fun one to try! Hey, are you on flats here?
Yup!
Nice job explaining dude. Not an easy thing to do. Are you on flats? I should know this as a subscriber, I’m sorry. I will definitely be trying this. You da man!
Yup flats!
This man is in my school parking lot
Is it weird that I have my left foot forward and right foot behind but I rotate to the left? Does anyone else do this?
Not weird, it’s called goofy foot
Thank you!!
Will this also work for a hard tail?
Yup!
Is it ok to have my left foot forward and turn left?
Whatever way works for you is good
I ride left foot forward and I prefer to spin left, I guess I'm goofy 🤣
BC MTB its called oppo
problem is when your coming out of fakie your gonna have to turn kinda akwadly since its not gona be a circular motion and more like half a circle 2 times.
I'm the same. Always have been on bmx too and most vids say to spin opposite but I cant :)

So much easier on a 20"!
I tried this when I was 12 and ended up with two bent rims now I’m 17 and am scared to even try because of the rear of this happening again.
Did you have a good mtb when you were 12?
i can 360 on a bmx but i cant even do a freakin 180 on my freerider :C
i mean i couldnt do that when i still had it... sadly it got stolen, but when im gonna have a new bike one day i will definitely rewatch this video :D
A Canadian who doesn’t say prō-cess 🤔 interesting 🤣
dude wtf i pressed subtitles and it gave me korean
then when i chose english it was sooooo offf lmfao
Lol slow down with these uploads bro, I am still stuck in learning bunnyhop XDDD
Hahaha
if you try this, MAKE SURE that your SPOKES ARE TIGHT. or else you'll taco wheels like nobody's business
I'm begging you,how many sags you have on the front fork and the silencers that you've got this slow to stop. And if there's a token. Thanks

Most people ride with one foot forward, one foot back. Please tell me who rides with both feet forward or back asking for a friend
Some people can do both
First
Its pretty much impossible on a hardtailbike
It's so much easier on a hardtail
VanCan Are you kidding me!? i will try this tomorrow then. I really think it's more of a mental game for me then. Keep up the good work👍🏻
Way harder on a full suspension bike...even more with a 29er enduro bike
Best way to learn a 180 is to start with a 26" dj bike.
Im learning on my 27.5 hardtail and Im getting close it a 180
Wassssssasap
this jacket is not the best for mic
Instructions unclear, snapped my rear wheel in half.
