Wow. This is why we all love this channel. Marion's creativity with accessible ingredients really knows no bounds.
Tried this with sesame paste instead of peanut butter because my daughter is allergic to pb. Still tasted really good.
In Chongqing, China, they add chilli crisp, sesame paste, szehaun pepper, and some sesame oil. Top it with whatever toppings you want (they usually do yellow peas/chickpeas) + spring onions. Very very nice :)
great idea, sounds even better!
That's a great idea - thanks!
It's actually more authentic with Sesame paste. Cuz that's what they use in the original Chinese version.
You mean Tahini?
You guys, I've been eating pasta using this recipe for two consecutive nights now. I can't get enough of this. It's soooo good ya'll I swear. Plus, this doesn't even take a lot of time to cook. You can prep the ingredients for the sauce while your pasta is cooking.
If you're not good with spice, just use half tbsp of chili garlic. If you accidentally made it too spicy, just squeeze a bit of lemon juice. This dinner is cheap, quick to make and so dang delicious! Perfect for broke girls like me hahaha
Made this tonight. One ingredient you can NOT omit is the peanut butter. I couldn’t just eat the noodles so I cut up chicken breasts into pieces and fried them then I added it to the noodles. It was a nice compliment to the chili crisp. This was a total JOY BOMB.
?MAde this dish also and love the flavour, the chilli oil and the peanut butter taste divine. Very oiley dish though, ended up reducing the butter amount
Do you reckon I could use almond butter?
I fucking hate the taste of peanut butter, will I get that taste if I put it in?
I was just gonna ask if I would add chicken to this...Now I know what is cooking!!! Headed to the kitchen now!!🧡🧡
Maybe just leave it out. If you want to add tahini or almond butter it would probably add the creamy texture
My wife said, 'THAT WAS THE BEST SPAGHETTI DINNER I'VE TASTED IN A LONG TIME.' And she hates peanut butter! I didn't tell her about the peanut butter. I added prawns to mine, and it was tops. Thanks Marion. 🙏🏽
Man look at that glosssssss 👌🏻
That means good production
Lay Ho ma!
@Hello Cathy it’s already vegan
Isn't it neat?
Wouldn't you think the pasta's complete?
@@freshofftheraq It has butter, so not quite vegan, but definitely vegetarian.
@Hello Cathy If you want to make it vegan I assume substituting margarine is the easiest thing to do.
So I just tried this and it’s delicious! I added a little extra Chinese sausage for a bit of extra meat, and I’m in heaven! 🤤
Ooooooh my goodness!!!! I had to make this twice this week. Marion, this tastes soooo good, and not as heavy of a meal. It would probably go great with some prawns😍, I think I’ll try that next!
Asian dishes have an art to making them.. I feel like I have to try very hard for them to come out amazing.. but this... this was super easy, and it’s all in the way that YOU teach people to cook.
Thanks Love!💕
As a pasta lover and Italian I LOVE your take on pasta with an Asian vibe. So satisfying!
I'm italian and I love this recipe❤️. So much more tastier than plan old pasta
Hi Marion:
Went to my local Asian market and they had Chilli Crisp Oil. I actually had everything else, because my favorite cuisine is Asian. It looked so wonderful on your video. Wasn’t sure my husband would like it . . . he loved it! Made it with angel hair pasta. Only put one TBSP of the chilli oil and it was perfect for us. The cilantro was a wonderful addition. My house smells so good! Thank you for sharing your wonderful recipes. 💜😎🇺🇸
Topped with Thai Basil from garden instead of cilantro… heaven!!
I didn't have crunchy peanut butter, kept forgetting at store! So I used creamy but added finely chopped unsalted cashews! Worked like a charm. This is delish!!!
Fusion pasta just happens when you're cleaning out your pantry. I turned my mum's Sri Lankan green bean curry into a one pot pasta dish and it was fantastic. I can't wait to give this a try tonight!
Damn I miss Sri Lankan food.
Green bean curry pasta?
Omg finally LaoGanMa chilli crisps, they even have a infused chicken oil with peanut version... it’s so fragrant, I could just eat it with bread.
I made this recipe last week and it was one of the best pasta I ever tasted ! thank you so much marion, can't wait for another asian fusion recipe !
This is so good to cook when u want dishes to be whip in minutes. And I think by just adding seared scallops or prawns. You can elevate the dish and it looks pretty too. It served as a based and can be interchange easily. Thanks! Love your fusion pasta as always.
Marion is the carb queen. Period. I will definitely be making this soon!
Oh Marion, I just saw this vid 2 days ago and made it straightaway as I had all the ingredients at home.. Man, it was such a bomb! I can eat this everyday, seriously! Never expected peanut butter to make it taste this way! It's so so good and so easy to make! Love it! 😍
Instead of watching channels on my tv during lockdown, I’m watching your shows. Absolutely love all I’m seeing. Thank you 💕
this is the first time when I have all ingredients so it means I know what I'm gonna do for dinner tonight :D
I'v tried several versions of Asian noodle recipes and they were all good but this is by far my favorite and only recipe I use over and over again. It's delicious. Thank you so much for the recipe and great video! And I LOVE the lady who's presenting this recipe. She's just so lovely and so wonderful in the presentation.
Made it and peanut sauce is the soul of this dish. This is definitely one of the best lao gan ma recipe I have now!
Honestly at this point I'm just watching you for you and not even what you're making LOL. What a lovely personality!
Simply love ur light hearted remarks and stylish cooking
Marion, this recipe is brilliant. I made it in less than 30 mins. It's FAST food. I have no chilli crisp, so I used fresh chilli. I put some semi dried tomato on top. So yummy. Thanks Marion.
I love your fusion pastas, they're my go to lazy day dinners.
Yes! Especially because Asian and Italian cuisine are my faves! ❤️😋
Just made spaghetti
I made this today for lunch...and I'm speechless..so simple yet so perfect and delicious 😋 ❤️ Thanks for this Marion! (I made the chilli oil inspired by your recipe too👌🏼)
Hi Marion, I know the day is going to be great whenever I see one of your delicious recipes posted! This one is just fantastic! May I suggest an idea for your cookbook? Can you include a section, that would be just recipes for your various sauces and condiments? I find that I use quite a bit of your fantastic condiments on a lot of other foods and it would be helpful to have a quick reference! As always, thank you for sharing your brilliance!❤️
Just made this. It's like that garlic butter spaghetti you made before, except much deeper. Amazing stuff as always.
This is what my spicy loving dreams are made of!! This Italian can't wait to make this!! 🤤
I used Hunan red Chile sauce instead since it’s what I had and it was really hot and salty. Still ate most of it. The peanut butter really elevates it
I made this today and it was so good, probably the best pasta I've made in the past few years! I added some sliced oyster mushroom to add texture and it turned out well. Please share more fusion pasta!
Made this tonight for dinner!! OMG! The layers of flavours!!! Absolutely Delicious!! 😍😍😍
This recipe rocks! I scaled the butter back because there's so many other rich ingredients, and it's still good!
A very great recipe!!! My favorite pasta ever!!! It was a hit with my family!!! I’m making it now on a weekly bases!!! I just love your recipes!!!
I'm Italian so there's always a bag of spaghetti in my pantry 🤝 just bought chilli crisp and oyster sauce from my local Asian store = time for an amazing dinner 🤩
Made this wow. Delish!!! Thinking 🤔 that sauce would lend itself to all kinds of other goodness 🥰. Many thanks 🙏
Good morning Marion! I've been binge watching every one of your videos since last week and I'm enjoying it all. I want to cook it all too. Thanks for sharing your recipes with me.
Recently purchased crispy chilli oil from a local Asian fusion restaurant that I love, so I had to make this for a late lunch! I didn't add any green onion or cilantro, but it was still delicious! The pasta had a creamy, spicy, buttery goodness! You definitely get more spice than creamy from the minced garlic and crispy chili oil. I'm definitely gonna make this again! Gonna add green onion, cilantro and sesame seeds next time for that added texture, flavor and crunch. Make sure the sauce stays glossy and not dried out, as I kept the pasta on the stove while looking for sesame seeds (and failed to find it) and it dried out the pasta a bit. Because I love the spicy heat, I ate the pasta with a side of pickled diced daikon and jalapeño in soy sauce and vinegar. Crunchy, sweet, sour and spicy. :)
I so loved your channel. 🥰🥰🥰
I am a Filipina who loves noodles and pasta so much. Your videos are the best!
Wow, this was delicious! Next time I make it, I'll add more spice to taste but this one is a winner!
Oh this is so good! I just made it… i was craving for something like this… Thanks Marion
Just made this tonight. So delicious. The only thing I did was add just a small amount of sugar since I didn't have unsalted butter. It was very satisfying.
I made this today for my breakfast Lolita was delicious!! Will definitely be making it again!! ❤
Lunch for today sorted!!!! 😋😋 I can be buried in crispy chilli oil and I still won't have enough of it. Absolutely love it!
Love ❤️ this simple but delicious pasta!
Just made this now. MARION U DA BEST 🙌 THIS IS SO FREAKIN GOOD with just simple ingredients! Amazing ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I added a few teaspoons of honey. Loved it. Great recipe. Thanks.
Made it just now with similar ingredients. Amazed with the result. Thanks
Okay, I'm going to need rehab from this dish. I've made it 4 in the last 2 weeks. So delicious and satisfying!
😂 that sounds good
usually, here in the philippines, chili garlic oil sauces are paired with Siomai. so if u top that with siomai, it would be like an asian version of spaghetti and meatballs
It looks great! I'd toss on some seafood to complete my meal (shrimp, scallops, grilled fish, etc.)
I made this and it was SO GOOD. I used Almond Butter instead of Peanut and was awesome. Will 100000% make it again
I made this and I LOVE IT. Best part is that it’s so fast and easy to make. Boiling the noodles is the longest part of this recipe. I never imagined that peanut butter would go well with a noodle dish. But in fact it turns out to be a perfect marriage.
My one critique is that this recipe is a bit too salty for my taste. So on my second attempt I used only one tablespoon of soy sauce (instead of two) and I used only 2 tablespoons of Chili crisp (instead of 3). This turned out perfect for me
So yummy! I have tried out this recipe and it was the huge hit! I tried to make it again but I didn’t have any peanut so substituted with some black tahini sauce, and it was so so good! 🙏 for the inspiration, Marion.
I tried this. I will say she makes it look so good. It was okay, I was missing the seseme seeds. I think a little less chili oil, and defintely need to try hers, the standard one I think isn't as fragrant and the standard is dominated by fried onion. I also think the scallions just aren't my personal thing. They took over for me, but I am not a fan. Otherwise it would be great. I know my opinion might be unique so take with q grain of salt!! So love her cooking and watching her cook!!! ❤
I’ve been making this recipe non stop at home, I dream and crave this all the time 😍
I just made this and my son and I loved it! For some reason my husband couldn’t eat it though. He said he could taste like two ingredients that just didn’t taste “right” to him. Oh well though, more for my son and I.
Just made this tonight but added some raw prawns and cooked at the end of the sauce recipe and magnificent , thank you Marion
Ok . Add Asian market to “to do” list today. Gotta make this! Amazing!
I just tried it and it’s amaze balls! I’ll try to put in some veg next time!
Hubby isn't a peanut butter fan but after tasting it, he couldn't believe how tasty it was. Thanks Marion, this is now my fave pasta Thai-ish dish🥰
Butter + chili crisp + peanut butter + pasta = LOVE
DELICIOUS! and easy peasy. Finally got some more jars of Chile Crisp at Wegman's supermarket. I love Chile Crisp. I have been trying to stay away from tomatoes because of arthritis so this is just great. Yum yum yum!
I just tried this..and its amazing..you never fail me Marion...love it
Making this right now and the kitchen smells amazingly delicious! Can't wait.
Right - it is good, the flavours are fantastic, but.... I found it a little too salty (maybe that was from the chili crisp) and there was just too much oil. Next day leftovers were beyond amazing.... the oil and the flavours had melded and I mixed it with some fresh green veg and herbs. Delicious.
I started salivating before Marion even started cooking so trying this recipe
I made this earlier tonight. However, instead of using butter---because I was out of butter---I used ghee....and WOW! This recipe is defiantly going on my weekly 'Make and Eat Dinner at Home' menu.
Made this last night for my family. WE LOVED IT! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe, it is absolutely magical!

Just tried this and it is DIVINE!!! Taste good!!! 😋😋😋
Marion 😄Omg. I just made my first bottle of Chilli Crisp yesterday (I followed your recipe)
This video couldn't come at a better time🙂. Watch me run to the store to buy some spaghetti 😅
I ALWAYS add fish sauce and oyster sauce to my pasta too! And even a dash of MSG. Mmmmm....🤤🤤
Skeptical at first but tried it anyway and to my surprise, it's very tasty. Thanks Marion!
Thank you so much for posting this. As a vegetarian, I always really look forward to your vegetarian recipes. ❤️🙏
@DC Contrarian : Thank you.
Made this today and it’s my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE of all your fusion pastas!!
the butter amount is beyond insane
I made this with leftover chinese noodles that came frozen in a huge family size portion. This was the last of them and I added bacon at the beginning before the butter and garlic, plus poached crispy eggs on top. Bacon n eggs with an Asian twist.
Sounds great, but what are crispy eggs?
I love this recipe!! Just tried it for the first time. Delicious ❤
I don’t know if my quantities of each ingredient were correct. I had to use pasta shells instead of spaghetti, substituted the oyster sauce with light soy sauce mixed with sugar, and I didn’t have any spring onions, but the result is so yummy!!! 💜💜💜
I'm going to try this. Looks quite easy.
Tks for sharing.😍
Thankyou Marion for changing my life and saving my marriage! You have made me love to cook. I have cooked nearly all your recipes....Julie and Julia.... now please make your version of Ayam Betutu...Balinese roast chicken pretty please!
LoL 😂
Indonesia represent!
Mmmm! I just got some Chinese toasted sesame paste (darker & thicker than tahini) and I'm thinkin' it might sub nicely for the p-butter. I'm making a new batch of chili crisp this week! Thanks! I'm Inspired!
Love your work Marion. The term ‘influencer’ is used often on social media without any real context to the value of the influence. I find your videos lovely and welcoming and your recipes practical and tasty. You have helped me understand ingredients and flavours of some of my favourite Asian cuisine. Influencer you are, and happily influenced I am. Thank you.
Yes, you are right…. I have to make this!
Thanks Marion! 🥰

Made this last night! Added a bit of Thai basil too at the end and it was 😚👌🏼, however, even with my gut of steel, I had the shits something fierce this morning! 🤣
Just coming back, I swear this has become a staple in my home! Literally one pan, so so easy, and tasty as well! Definitely give this one a try! Love using bucatini too!

I am making this tomorrow, along with that crispy chicken that had you recently shared with us. I cannot wait
Marion I made the Chili chicken you just posted and it was a hit with my kids!! They were actually annoyed I didn't make a lot for leftovers as it tasted so good, but I will next time. This week I'm making this with your garlic chicken you just posted recently. Lots of ❤❤❤❤🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Just made this, so heavenly. You’re a talent
Last time I was this early, the Indus Valley Civilization still existed.
Can't go wrong with spicy spaghetti!
