Prince Blake different people have different tastes , what gives you the right to ridicule somebody? just because you do not agree with it doesn't make it wrong. As is typical with people on youtube only their opinion is right...as you said "lol, youtube"

News flash UA-cam police. opinions work both ways. I have the "right" to ridicule his/her

I've just finished doing this for the second day - and I love it. It really helps me to do this first, and then an Eastern style meditation to clear the air after I put everything in order. I had previously only been doing Eastern style meditation and was VERY frustrated that it didn't let me deal with thoughts that came up, but this mix of both is wonderful! It can be a hassle though. Philosophical meditation took me an hour today... I hope it gets to be more like 20 minutes the more you do it?

Thank you all so much for a lovely evening of ideas and intellectual company as I've worked on the tedious side of a project on my computer. Sometimes it was simply reminding me of certain things I passionately enjoyed learning about and discussing in the lovely rich days in university, while I also learned some fantastic things and gained some new perspectives. It is so uplifting just to hear such bright people speaking with such eloquence and perception and benevolence across such a broad range of topics, especially in our current complicated and muddled times of looming transition and old orders and ideologies clashing so blindly against the new. Beautiful job on everything. You are beautiful people. Thanks for the boost of knowledge and optimism for humankind.

I had to watch that three times to take it all in because the beautiful woman was distracting me. So here I am writing about it. Seriously though I went to rehab nearly dead three years ago and was made meditate twice a day for twenty minutes and write in a book. At some stage since then, though I've stayed sober, I stopped writing in the book and meditating. I've grown steadily more anxious. I'm excited for things that I see as real possibilities now but I'm also so afraid of failure that it's holding me back. Inaction leads to frustration which leads to anger and bitterness, anxiety and depression. All while forgetting the achievements made and not seeing the irrationality of the fears that bind. I've watched all the videos you guys put out and I think perhaps this is the most important of all and I will certainly be sharing it. Thank you all.

If it's not too much to ask, I would love if you could create a video about Hate, more precisely how it can impact someone, in a good or bad way. Can it be overcome? Should it be?

Anyone who liked her softly spoken voice - try searching for ASMR. It's incredibly relaxing. Particularly "inaudible whispering" is great to listen to while working/reading/going to sleep.

I think working with your mind as in asking yourself question certainly has it's place but not as a substitute for meditation.
I've tried both for years with meditation being the far more effective one, simply investigating my beliefs didn't really bring peace, well, maybe a little bit was of peace was gained when I received insight.
I found that moving to stillness through meditation actually automatically brings up the beliefs that are out of balance with yourself.

I think one crucial detail that was overlooked in the excitement phase, is that it doesn't matter how small something is, whether it be a sale coming up, good weather, clean sheets, any little thing should be appreciated for how it makes you feel. I think that this is especially helpful in ruts of hopelessness.

I had stumbled upon a half-baked version of such a philosophical meditation when analysing my anxieties initiated by an existential crisis the past 3 years. I had an understanding that some of my anxieties were silly, but I didn't know how to put it in perspective. Then upon understanding the ubiquitous nature of the scientific method in human interactions, I applied it to my anxieties to weed out the outlandish ones and put in perspective the realistic ones, with regards to likelihood and intensity.
What especially resonates with me is the preparing for the worst aspect, which was especially helpful in managing the anxiety I had during my finals examinations.

That's a nice guide right there. And the woman's voice is awesome - making me I enter a state of meditation halfway through the video (I DID meditate 1 hour ago, though). :)
As someone who suffered from moderate-severe anxiety through my first 20 years of life (even as a kid, I lived constantly tense), which became a mild-moderate depression and moderate-severe apathy later on, I must say both Meditation and Philosophy were extremely effective for me - the things that are healing me.
The only problem now (in my actual 2nd week after I stopped feeling completely apathethic), is that whenever there's a situation in which I would be extremely anxious before, the anxiety only comes in a very small, quickly dismissable 'signal'.
It used to be crippling. Scaring. Terrifying. Now it's like an annoying "poke" which goes away if I want it to.
What's funny is that this makes me totally confused. I have no idea how to deal with that, given that I'm used to the "crippling fear" or "crippling tension". So I just stand there waiting for the monster to come, and it never comes.
One might say the freedom and maturity confuses me. Might take a bit more time until I get used to it.
I wonder if someone ever felt that. It's weird, haha
    Thanks for another great video!
