The Foo Fighters - one of my favorite bands ever. Saw them in Rupp Arena and they played a FOUR HOUR set. It was unreal - Grohl is the man.

Love the foo fighters, to me they are one of the only bands today who really consistently stand toe to toe with the heroes of the past era when it come to catchy rock tunes , and of course there was their induction of RUSH to the RRHOF, and their cover versions and audience interactions at their concerts
You just have to love the intensity that Grohl always brings... so good...
I’ve been to like 350+ shows and The Foo’s put on the best live show! Dave is the kindest human!!
Drummer Taylor was a former drummer for Alanis Morrisette. He's a great singer himself. Check out Foo Fighters doing Under Pressure with Taylor doing the vocals.

This song is a great example (not unlike Green Day's "American Idiot") that bands/artists that are commercially successful can still put out important and accessible "statement" music. As powerful and great as the song is, a part that I love as much as anything is that Dave Grohl has acknowledged that the song "One of These Things (Is Not Like The Other)" from "Sesame Street" may have inadvertently influenced "The Pretender" (If you want possible evidence, listen to the song again and substitute the phrase "One of these things is not like the other" in place of "What if I say I'm not like the others?" (the first line in the chorus).
What a band! Dave Grohl NEVER phones it in, even performing with a broken leg -- check out that story. Nice reaction video.

Awesome song! The opening guitar (maybe bass) that carries out throughout most of the song reminds me of “I Want You” by the Beatles.

Try The Tubes - SF based rock bank from 1975 debut album includes single "White Punks on Dope". Other great songs "What do you want from life ?", "Sushi Girl", "Don't Touch Me There", "Attack of the 50 Foot Woman", and possibly "Slipped My Disco". These guys like to put on a show at their concerts, a must see.
