From Speedfactory... Valve Lash: B & H series - Lash measured at the VTEC lobe needs to be set to 0.006” Intake and 0.008” Exhaust minimum. You can also measure at the valve tip as below. K,F,D series - Lash measured at the valve tip needs to be set to 0.010” Intake and 0.012” Exhaust minimum. This is critical! Running tighter lash than this WILL result in premature camshaft lobe and rocker pad wear!
Doing that lockedin for 2yrs and daily driven from philippines and nothing to worry. Love the build bro!!keep up!!
aftermarket cam would do great but you get it, great video, clean work!!
Thanks for actually showin wut the hell u did to lock it. Going to do mine now 👍😂
How it holding up?
I adore sohc content, great channel. Sub’d! I’ve been contemplating doing the locked Vtec on my 8th gen when I finally do the k20/24 swap next year.
Thanks i appreciate that! That would be deadly
locked vtec in a K20/24 is a waste, youll lose power on the low part of the powerband.
Hans Kuiper - Hellish that’s why u get better cams and bump up compression
Instead of using the bolt wouldn't it be better if he used to Spring
Good job
What are you going to do if that rocker arm happens to break the cast aluminum and The nut falls in the motor?
I suppose i would probably have to find a different engine.
Same thing that would happen if the rocker broke regardless lmao
Ultra sick, Jon!
Adjust the valves, .007 intake .009 exhaust
Worked for mine and it chops like a big block lol
Thanks, Ill give it a try!

What did you do about the solenoid and how did they tune it I’m struggling getting it tuned
Its been awhile so im sure im forgetting something, but im pretty sure i turned the vtec off in hondata and then just tuned the "before vtec" map.
Thats a nice hatch my friend. Is that tahitian green? I have a Aztec green pearl hatch. Like the build.
Thanks man, i appreciate that!
Locked vtec on stock camshaft?
Yup
does the f22b use the same pin design for vtec? if so could i lock vtec?
I am not sure man. Your gunna have to do your own research on that. Would be pretty beast tho!
Would this need a tune afterwards?
Yes.I had to.
@@Boostmonger_Jon so on stock ecu, with dual o2 sensors do you think it would be able to compensate ?
Honestly not sure.
What tuner are you using? Hondata? Neptune?...
Hondata. Older s300
@@Boostmonger_Jon ok. I want to do an all motor setup and im just checking out different setups with the locked out vtec cam setup
I gotcha. That should be pretty sweet!
How was it after you test drove it?
It drives pretty normal actually. Little bit choppy sometimes when leaving a stop.
@@Boostmonger_Jon any noticeable power increase?
I wouldn't say i gained any power. However the turbo spools at a lower rpm.
How did you make it sound so soft on low?
What kind of escape do you have?
3 inch exhaust, glasspack and a muffler.
Do you recommend doing the vtec killer in a daily use car?
I havnt driven it enough to say yes or no. I cant really see a point to doing it to a daily tho..
