I am from MS and I marched bass drum @ Alcorn, but those cats from PVU are nasty. Technicality, precision, technique everything was one point. They are very versatile. They have a SWAC sound with corp features and the MEAC flash. Awesome job!
Shout out to the mini 13-member MSVU band, I SEE U!!! 4 such a small group you guys really brung the funk! Big Willie Style!!✌ it was a big time performance from start to finish, and it goes to show U, less is more.😀👍👍👏👏👏👏
Pv drumline has the most accurate drum-line in the whole entire conference. It actually sounds like a real drum core...and not a bunch of cans hitting the ground.
The master that’s the only knocc I have on SWAC drumlines is the sound of the drums .....I can handle Southern like that because that’s they culture but everyone else drums sounding like trash cans is 🗑....... I still have Cold Steel & MDF$ tied for first then PV
Pv by a long shot but keeping it real the last section has some nice tenors....tenors were three deep?and not only sounded off but were tuned great....but yeah msd was too on point.... I still miss the mcfunk b.o.x. lol but I'll take msd if u guys are gonna stay sounding like this.... even funky ish sounded brand new
who ever was at the begging they need to fix some shit, first of all they need to bring up there snare drums so they can stop doing that nasty shit with there wrist, and second of all they need to tune up there quints, this is show style not core style.
Cleanest in the SWAC idk about that but MSD does sound good. Only thing is their snares aren't really playing complicated stuff to be honest. I'll give them 3rd in the SWAC
@@muzical35 They really do. I think all HBCU drumlines need to scrap tenor drums and switch to tonal basses. Those tenors and untoned basses really limit the kind of cadences that can be play and most sound like middle/high school stuff. The snare lines be chopping though.
stardollblox their Tenors never sound like that, until this year.. no I never did neither of those but I know biting someone's style when I see it, son...
+cedfri um excuse me, but I have friends and family members in that band, and I would appreciate it if you stop putting rude comments up here about that drumline. you don't see me be disrespectful to other bands, nor do you see me dissing. so therefore shut your mouth, and I agree with her, because they do not try to sound like anyone but the music they play.
I really don't care if you're being disrespectful or not to other band... I can say what I feel, you just have deal with it because you will spend all day arguing with people that say mean things about this band. just ignore me
catergory3kane damn, the childishness in adults just reached a whole new high. Ppl r gonna shit all the time about other bands and drumlines, but to insult someone bc they said is just confirmation on how ass the line is. I think Alcorn is a good drumline but they can b better.
8:21 🥶
Check out Bethune Cookman Drumline
PV MSD

To the Green.... I'm proud of yall any tall didn't have to but you guys went out there and did yall thing. Keep up the good good work!
I love SWAC baselines instead of the MEAC Idk what it is tho
If MVSU had more members on the snare line or in the drumline period I think they would sound even more better.
PVAMU, hats off to you!

🙌🙌🙌very clean.
Pvamu section is tight. Great job
Cant stop watching the second group. WOW
What is their name?
+sodanomusic Prairie View A&M University Marching Storm Drumline
Thank you!
Everything sounds so tight with no grove. Don’t get me wrong but where’s the Mc funk?
Groove*
Pv snares were very clean
Fuck how Valley looked, them cadences were nice!!
What does the head snare from pvamu say at the beginning when they're getting their spacing
i enjoyed it
Them Panthers did it again!
💜 💛
I wish PV would use tuned bass drums with split parts. That's the only thing that is missing from their sound.
PV was nice. Valley looked like a high school and I'm not sure what the hell Alcorn was doing.
i give this one to pvamu! good job,
Okay then Prarie View nice job
Pvamu
Good footage bro
sumbody in the bckground keep sayin iight bethune when pvu was playin
What were the MSD sixlets doing? I couldn't hear them. Nor were they playing after the gather from "funking around".
What happened to the drum line at Mississippi Valley State University?
nice good job I loveit
Pv drumline has the most accurate drum-line in the whole entire conference. It actually sounds like a real drum core...and not a bunch of cans hitting the ground.
The master HA! The "most accurate"?? Lol Forgive me but that's... interesting, to say the least. Would you happen to be a percussionist?
They drum line sound okay . MDFS will eat ever drumline in the SWAC hands down . Besides all there drums sound terrible
The master that’s the only knocc I have on SWAC drumlines is the sound of the drums .....I can handle Southern like that because that’s they culture but everyone else drums sounding like trash cans is 🗑....... I still have Cold Steel & MDF$ tied for first then PV
Alcorn is gonna be in some real trouble if they don't go back to the style (rudimental funk) that makes them a contender! PV won hands down!!!
Hmmm I actually did like MVSU's percussion section
Pv by a long shot but keeping it real the last section has some nice tenors....tenors were three deep?and not only sounded off but were tuned great....but yeah msd was too on point.... SU and JSU too upper class for these drumlines
Whoever idea it was to put valley after pv needs to be fired....pv was nice 👍🏾 #WT
Man PV was clean. All my CENTRAL STATE UNIVERSITY BAND ALUMNI now y’all know we would took them to the cleaners.
Alcorn imitates Jstate a little too much!
I play the flute but I go to college online
PV I 🕵 U
Pvamu 💜💛
them boy bad
that was nice i just wish the camera man would stop moving, and getting it out of focused.
Alcorn first marching cadence sound too much "LB" if you ask me. Cadence before that sounded just like "BT 2". Imitators smh
Alcorn bass drums sound good
Grambling should have been in there ... there would be no competition
pv A&M did good
PV won
gosh Alcorn get your own style. War and thunder wanna be's
actually war and thunder got their style from alcorn state university. many other drum lines play like that. so know ur facts before u say something
Msd the cleanest drum section in the swac
who ever was at the begging they need to fix some shit, first of all they need to bring up there snare drums so they can stop doing that nasty shit with there wrist, and second of all they need to tune up there quints, this is show style not core style.
None of the drums are straight
I'm getting Dxxx tired of seeing this Cxxx which is about me, me, me and not about discipline and achieving something together.
Not aimed at everybody-but if the shoe fits.........
No problem with PV!
So far!!
I wanna see PV vs TSU!!!
Cleanest in the SWAC idk about that but MSD does sound good. Only thing is their snares aren't really playing complicated stuff to be honest. I'll give them 3rd in the SWAC
2 KOLD KRANK!!!!
It seems like all Swac drumlines suck....really..
How so??
+nathan those sound and look like hs cadences
@@muzical35 They really do. I think all HBCU drumlines need to scrap tenor drums and switch to tonal basses. Those tenors and untoned basses really limit the kind of cadences that can be play and most sound like middle/high school stuff. The snare lines be chopping though.
Alcorn trying to get their tenors to sound like The Boom... Smh
cedfri how do you know? are you there in their rehearsals? have you personally spoke with the band director? let me know. I'll wait
stardollblox their Tenors never sound like that, until this year.. no I never did neither of those but I know biting someone's style when I see it, son...

True but people gotta realize why alcorn is adopting the Boom's style
Not quite clear no enjoyable to watch
Omg Miss Valley was the best then Alcorn and PVAM was tight.
puro pinche mallates
Alcorn sucks alot,lol...
Mike Davis bye fat Albert.. Lmao
