Shop quoted me $360 - found the mirror and trim tool for $40 and $6, respectively. This saved me $314 and it was honestly kinda fun doing it. Thanks for this.
I would recommend, that if you're not comfortable taking the doorpanel off, to just leave it on. This can 100% be done without taking off that entire door panel; it's a little trickier to get access to the cables. But it's much more easily done that way imo

Used this video , replaced mine on my 2007 Corolla S , no problem. Part was 83$ from Obriens in south shore ma. Thanks man this made my job effortless and only Took me 40 minutes start to finish
I wanted to whole heartedly thank you for posting this video. Someone sideswiped my car and tore the front passenger side mirror right off. After buying a replacement, your video allowed me to install the new one by myself. Thank you again!

My mom and I (dumb and dumber if you will) were able to fix my unfortunate altercation with a trash can the other day for only $40 and 20 minutes, so thank you for making a very clear and simple tutorial!
Thanks for the tutorial, I was able to change the passenger mirror in about 20 minutes after watching this vid once. It was slightly different but the steps were about the same.
Just finished this on a 2005 S. It went easier than I expected. The only kinda tricky part is getting the door window/lock harness re-attached. Gotta slide the harness apart to retract the little locking mechanism in the harness. Other than that, it was rather seamless. Took under an hour. Thanks for the plastic pry bar hint. I picked up a set for under $10. The mirror cost $50. Way better than going to the dealer. Momma has her car back.

Thanks for the info. The passenger side mirror of my wife's car fell off when it hit the rear tail light of a Tundra. I was lucky enough to find a replacement through Facebook Marketplace. Now I get the pleasure of putting it in.
Thank you for this video - I am grateful. I followed your steps and managed to change my mirror. The only difficulty I had was reattaching the power coupling in the door panel (as almost the last step). I was tough but finally managed to connect it. Mirror works great. Thank you.

thks for the help, we just finished up. In the middle of the job I got some paint thinner and got the tar type stuff washed of. Stayed away from that by tucking into itself while I worked on it . also about 3 /4 way done I realized that little thing , where "3", nuts, bolt the mirror down, was a tweeter.

May I ask what I am possibly doing wrong if the door frame disconnects from the bottom but won’t release up top by the door handle. I’m so close lol
