Hey distortion ive been watching your videos for quite some time now. Ive been in dark places many times and during those times ive came across one of your videos... Your videos have helped a lot through these times staying up and seeing your speed runs whether it was dark souls or bloodborne it gave me a reason to look into the light. I couldnt sleep at all yet somehow rewatching all your videos helped me keep my mind off things and finally be able to sleep in peace. I just wanna say thanks soo much. Im never truly there to catch a stream but maybe someday ill stop by and give a proper hello. Till then stay safe my friend and never give up.
Some stuff to consider in run optimization: 1. Try using Drifter set, it will help with both running and evading nmys, thus making runs more consistent in exchange on just of 10 sec detour. 2. You can just outrun Shroud's nukes, it might help to conserve a bit of stamina. 3. When you vault over things, it recovers your stamina. Might be worth using in open areas, espetially in Rhom. Vaults themselves are slow though. 4. Consider using ammo boxes early, running around to pick ammo can waste quite an amount of time on dragon. Situational, but might help. 5. Yeah, better aim would definitely help. 6. Consider using bloodworts instead of heart in open areas as it may save entrance sitting. All bosses when? xDDD
well some drops are guarented depending on what and how you kill a boss, for example if you break the Ents legs you always get a hammer, but if you kill it regularly i believe you get a rifle. but the point of rerolling worlds is so that yo ucan collect everything. obviously speedrunning the game like this is a bit difficult but yeah
Hey Dist love your vids and glad you are doing a speedrun of this game. I know it's not much but you ever thought of grabbing the drifter set at the beginning of the game than the mask you found later on. It would help with stamina issues since it cuts it's cost down and has really defense for early. Keep up the good work man. Can't wait to see you break this game entirely.

@@theBOSSman2012 happy you enjoyed it. But this aspect of the game is disappointing for people who were recommended this as a "Souls like". The most uninspired bosses in the Soulsborne games tend to be of this category. This is why DS2 is regarded as the worst game in the series.

Pretty good run so far. Need to continue later at 51 minutes as you have reached the same position as me and my friend in about 15 hours (on hard level). I like this game a lot, not a single empty day after I bought it three days ago. Normal was too easy with two players, hard needs way more effort.
and you can only get swiftness trait from yaesha so by the time you can get it in the run you'd have to stockpile points from other useful perks for it and waste time doing the puzzles for it

Beat Remnant 3 times now. See your speedrun, and again... incredibly sad at my skill level. I love your videos but hate you at the same time Distortion! J/k You're amazing man. Keep it up.
Heard mixed things about this game, not that I'd ever get it or anything, but its nice to keep-up generally. Still, a speedrun is always welcome content... well... eventually at least. 360p is the kind of optional boss beaten only by waiting :P
I have my games voices muted because after every fight my character says the same 3 things but after that it also makes all the dialogue skip itself really quick might help.
Hey dist, something I noticed in this run, you wasted a lot of time reloading because the hunter rifle has such a nutters reload time. it might be worth taking the time to point talent points into quick hands as you go through the run to reduce time in the long run
Played up to the forest region, so I beat about 8 bosses. They're all garbage with addons. Nothing in the game rewards you to push forward. It's just not fun.
You can, just gotta take it slow. My first ever playthrough was on hard mode when the game first came out it took me a couple weeks to beat it but at the end i was around GS 15/16, leveling does help with your armor getting better resistance but it does also level the enemies and how much health/dmg they do. You can very easily run the game without leveling anything but there's random times you'll get random weapons you can find in world that would be lvl 2/3 when you pick them up so you should level your gear to that level
If you shoot the "cocoon" thing in the right side when entering the fight you'll release the second wasp thing early, but he will be missing a good chung of his health.. The first one will release him anyways so it would just be a little bit sooner. But he would be damaged already which helps greatly.
Its a shame that to this day noone runs this game. The fact that everything is procedurally generated and no world is the same makes it super fun. I guess for speedrunning it lacks consistency and depends a lot on the dungeons you get but still a shame as its a super fun game.
yes you kill the mobs in 1 hit at the last boss ... i had to 2x headshot them or 3x body shot them ,.,, and the boss was hardcore on normal difficulty ,, ,after a player joined me to defeat him had all +20...

After that the game wasn't as difficult as that boss and I got into it more and now I love it. One mistake I made with the first boss is I didn't know you're supposed to go back to the ward to upgrade your weapons, I thought I was just going to explore a bit then come back to the ward and have a chance to upgrade then go to the next mission but you never actually go back to the ward in the story until the end. I've been running around with the base weapons the whole time. I also didn't know the red stones replenish so I was like I only have 3 I'm going to use them sparingly and don't actually use one until Midway through the game.
Getting a good speedrun in this game can be unfair with all the rng in play, the developers should make a game mode for speed running, except they had to admit to not recording/give direction to objectives in the maps they are given so it’s just as fair since it will be the same for everyone then and penalties are up to them
I'm 2 bosses away from the end, 15 hours in and I still struggle with bosses. Well I tried online with the final boss and ran out of ammo and the barely did any damage on the boss health. But that could be because of the level scaling.
Its always fun to see that boss in speed run never react like the boss react in my games lol, the dragon was constanly rushing on me and the ads were spaning behind me lol

Souls like with guns, randomized loot, and cutscene Esq dialog? Seems neat, although I feel like the rng could affect the speedrunabilty of the game.
Wouldn't that mean you just need to manipulate the RNG? 🤔
It does, all of remenant is random, down to the world layout
The dungeons mostly tbh

One of the best games ever made hands down but I couldn't beat that last boss for the life of me I tried and tried over 100 times
