Iam not a powerlifter and don't really do olymic lifts. Do you think i will be better off with just stall horse mats or should i get a platform to protect my epoxy floors? Also I have a small slope in garage and dont wanna be lifting on an uneven surface. If i decide to go just with stall mats i wonder how 🤔 should i level them? They are selling me an 8x8 platform here in my own town for $200. If i buy platform hkw can i level it? Sorry for all the questions and I hope you can help me. Thank u.
First off, we love questions, so thank you for asking! Secondly, if I were you, and you had some novice wood working skills I would build a platform, that way you can level it by using very small wood shims. Building one will cost roughly the same as buying that one you mentioned, depending on where you source your wood/supplies. So IMO, either of those options would be ideal. We will be releasing a new video on Tuesday, where I changed my entire garage gym to solve this very issue. I rebuilt my platform to be 100% level in every direction. Stay tuned! ✌️
The Outlier Theory I was planning on turning my basement into a garage gym and I thought the horse stall mats were for the deadlift. What’s the difference between having a deadlift platform vs horse stall mats and do I really need horse stall mats? Ty
tb nelson Having a platform gives you a solid foundation to work off of. The rubber horse stall mats only help with softening the blow of the weights as to not damage them. Having a platform is not vital for a garage gym, I used to deadlift off the horse stall mats before building mine. The difference is minute, and I would only worry about it, if you are a more advanced lifter. But for the average person, lifting off of horse stall mats is totally fine! Thanks for your question! 🙏 Let us know if you have anymore ✌️
The Outlier Theory oh ok thank you. Also I am thinking about completely renovating my basement. I’m gonna tear down the walls, ceiling, floor and putting a window. My question would be on what are the best price and best value machines and what I should get.
That platform is legit! And dam boy those muscles 💪🏻 👌🏻🔥❤️🙈🤪
😂😂 glad you enjoyed it!!

Awesome!!
what is the chemical you use to remove the dust on plywood?
Mineral Spirits
I like the rubber band thing, but maybe a rockclimber carabiners would have worked better?
That's an excellent idea!

The Outlier Theory I was thinking about a bike, power rack with bench, deadlift area and what else
Did you use oak or maple plywood?
asking to know the final finish color, would oak and maple give the same color after the coat?
Looking at the grain, pretty sure that is oak.
Watch NXT, if you do you’ll see you look like Rhea RIpleys twin
Those mats are kinda a bitch to cut lol
