@@cashstith4935 I don’t remember off the top of my head. I have a separate video showing how I customized the platform and have that info in the video.
@CamberFitness God bless her. I'm happy that she is following your footprints and she's not like other kids sitting at home, watching TV playing games. She will become stronger
@hospitaladministrator3359 it’s working great! It has scuff marks from weights/shoes/etc, but the finish still holds and no slip on my shoes. I’ve done many high rep sets in the mid 300s and some singles up to 475 lbs with no issues.
Thanks for this guide! I love the hands idea, I’ll probably do it when my kids are older. With the polyurethane, do you find your feet slip during bench press? That’s my only concern
It depends on the type of shoes you use I suppose. I use the Notorius Lift Radix shoes, and they’ve never slipped. The grip is pretty amazing actually. They squeak like on a basketball court.
It works great! I have to make sure I keep it clean for optimum stick though. Being in the garage with kids, it tends to get dirt and stuff on it so I typically wipe it off and dry it before deadlifts.
You can, but the whole point of the platform is to have a solid surface where you stand while lifting. That's why they are made of wood, even in commercial gyms where everything else is rubber.
Prolly does more for your argument to talk about what chemicals and how they’re going to affect, just saying that generic scary term makes you sound like the fun police

where did you get the stencil?

Great Job Izzie 🍬 .. Super cool built .. the platform is looking really cool.
Thx, bro!
Great job, Izzie!! 💪
Yea! 🙌
Great Work Izzie. Always great to build memories.
🙌 definitely!
She's cute! Great job! I love the way she is helping you. Keep going girl. One day you will become stronger like your dad. 😊
Thanks! She’s been doing competitive gymnastics this year and is getting extremely strong. 💪

@hikewithniraj she definitely likes watching TV, but we make sure they stay active.
Great Job Izzie!
🙌
Great job Izzie! I love the hand prints. Nice work! Birchwood is a nice choice.
Thx! I was really happy with how it turned out. And it’s still going strong with dropping nearly 500 lbs on it.
Nicely done!
Thanks!
Phenomenal work!
Thx!
@@CamberFitness how’s it holding up after 10 months? Would you have done anything different?

Great job, Izzie! It turned out great. How has it held up since you’ve been using it a while? Any tweaks you’d make with hindsight?
👍 Nope! Still working great even after slamming 400+ lbs on it for 6 months.
How do you find the grip of the polyurethane?
It works great! I have to make sure I keep it clean for optimum stick though. Being in the garage with kids, it tends to get dirt and stuff on it so I typically wipe it off and dry it before deadlifts.
Instead of the middle part being wood can we make it fully horse mats?
Sure. It’d probably end up being a bit more expensive though.

@davorzdralo8000 good call!
It would be fine. I powerlift and a lot of rogue platforms only used the mats. And at meets they only use matts. The rubber doesn't slip.
@Robert-jk7qk good point! Just doesn’t look as pretty. 😂
Looks good but lots of chemicals in those Matts being released
It’s in a well ventilated garage so I’m not worried.
Prolly does more for your argument to talk about what chemicals and how they’re going to affect, just saying that generic scary term makes you sound like the fun police
Good point. Our bodies are made up of chemicals!
Oh, the other ones cost 1000$ huh, well that is cheaper, still expensive ig.
Yea. A quarter of the price.
@@CamberFitness I fon't even have 200$
@audi_5 sorry. Gotta save up.

Under 260$ is really expensive you know, right?
I guess it depends on what you want. Most people that comment that things are too expensive are doing so on $1000 iPhones. 🤷♂️
@@CamberFitness Ik I don't buy iphones, overrated.
I think you’re missing the point.
@@CamberFitness Yeah, I don't even have 200$ anyways.
