I bought a Honda accord EX really like this car very expensive for people on a fixed income could never afford a hybrid My monthly payment is high. It is taking quite a bit of my income, but I have to have a car and I always buy Honda Accords. They are so dependable.
@@thinkblue8089 I bought 2024 with 700 miles on it and got $3k off. Put down $8k and the car cost me $30k with title/taxes and everything. Paying $400 a month.
The Honda Accord stands out as the premier choice among mid-size sedans, offering an unparalleled blend of features, legroom, headroom, and affordability. It truly represents the pinnacle of its class.
I just picked up an EX-L Hybrid... Got a great deal.. upgraded from a 2016 after a major storm, so I'm enjoying the upgrades in tech and the ride... Very good, detailed review... Thank You.
I just purchased a 2024 Accord EX I was looking at a 2025 Camry LE but the dealer refused to allow me to order one and wanted to sell me one with out a sunroof which I refused to consider so I walked out on him and went to Honda and got everything I want minus the leather steering wheel. while driving it today I realized it but it didn't feel the different. I got a good discount and a great trade in value for my car a 2022 Subaru Legacy. Thank you for the great story.
I can attest that this is true. I got a 22 accord sport se and after dealer “accessories” that I could not un option it was 38k which was the same price as a touring. It was during Covid so cars were selling at higher prices but still
I just traded my lease for a 2024 Accord EX and my monthly payments will be 417 with no money down. Honda is paying one of my late payments as well as my last payment of my prior lease. Got a Platinum White Pearl exterior with Grey/white interior. I think I got a pretty solid deal… especially with my Lease trade having some fuckinnnn wear and tare 😂
Great video, I like your enthusiasm. I’m thinking Honda because I still actually like driving my 2013 accord but I haven’t decided yet also 30 thousand is 40 thousand up here in the true north and that is a pretty penny any way you stack it.
Some people think the front of this Accord is too bland. After owning it for 3 months I like the simple, clean yet elegant front more and more. It certainly beats the chrome look. The EX model does not have wireless phone so you have plug in your phone in order to get navigation. But you can get a $60 Carplay Wireless Adapter to overcome this .
I got mine on 1 january 2024 , same color, just a little dissappointment not receiving wireless anroid/ apple auto . milleage is approximately 34 miles per gallon combined.
My choice is the EX-L hybrid model. Best set of features for the money, and MPG in the high 40's in warm months and low 40's in the winter. If you have kids with phones and other electronics, the EX-L is a MUST for it's backseat USB C-ports and vents that the Sport models don't have. You can get them on the Touring, but at a substantially higher price.
As a dad with two young kids, I am never buying a car with a light interior or no charging ports in the back for my kids to charge their tablets on long trips.
I honestly think the ex is the best bang for buck. Sunroof, blind spot monitoring, nit sure if he said it but adaptive cruise control is all i need. And lane keeping assist .. Id love cloth seats because lestger is over rated
Would you still be concerned with the 1.5t engine? I am considering this car and trim, but I am concerned with all the negative comments I have read about this engine. A salesman told me recently that Honda has remedied those problems, but he’s a salesman. What else was he going to say.
They most definitely are not completely gone, they have made minor changes yet problems still have been seen… the 1.5t has various issues which people still report constantly
@@parkergray5346 yes, the 1.5t is still problematic, unfortunately. Honda has fallen off, period reliability wise. I desperately need a car, and I am kind of leaning towards the Camry. I would like to see Honda apply my Visual Vehicle Door Communication System to assist in the prevention of open vehicle door collisions and fatalities, The patented application locates the addition of reflective tape to the entire interior lower door edge that can only be seen to provide a visual warning and yes an added Zone of Illumination to allow a constant visual warning even with a person outside the open vehicle door. Not to worry the application takes about one minute to apply ,costs about three dollars and totally invisible when the door is closed .
Because XM radio has an app and people can stream it via bluetooth to their car. Very simple. I have a MDX with built in XM and I rather stream it from the app. Haven’t noticed any sound quality issues. 5G is more then capable to stream XM. When 6G rolls out built in XM will be history. Connecting directly to the XM satellite in space was cool and useful 5+ years ago…now, not so much. My sister works for XM and now the majority of most subscribers stream via bluetooth. Yes, when there’s no strong cell connection it cuts off, but the direct satellite feed also cuts off near tall buildings, underground parking structures and long concrete freeway underpasses 🤷🏻♀️
I don't know why and it's a disappointment. But like all other content apps for music, books, podcasts, etc., you can get Sirius XM through your phone with a streaming subscription under $10 / month. Sirius will also offer a 3-month trial for this arrangement.
Hey Boston Auto Blog - what app did you use to display GPS map on that screen (while driving)??? Would love to have the same in my new 2023 Honda Accord EX :) Thanks!
I tested this exact trim and one thing I really hated was the infotainment display. The display quality is terrible not bright, washed colors and hard to see on a bright day. This is without a doubt the worst display I have ever seen in a vehicle. Every other competitor gives a much better display at this price range. Also at 6:28 it comes with a 7 inch touchscreen not 10 inch.
Exactly. It's just a very tiny in 2024 7 inch screen. And wired, not wireless, CarPlay/Android Auto. Sigh. I remember when Accord EX trim levels were the top of the line and came with everything. Now the EX is considered just above base level. Sad.
Buyer Beware If you own or thinking about purchasing a 2023 or 2024 11th generation Honda Accord...Beware. The gas line, brake lines and evap lines are plastic and are not fully protected by Sheilds, Guards. These cars have about a 14 inch section were these lines are exposed to road hazards. I had something hit these pipes, one was cut almost completely through, others severely damaged. The repair bill at the Honda dealership is over $7,000.00. I reported this to American Honda as I feel this could have been prevented had lines been metal or at minimum run behind a protective cover. These undercarriage on these cars are almost completely covered by shields, guards, you even have to remove the skid plate to change oil, filter but Honda decides to leave this section of crucial pipes non protected from road hazards. Honda has refused to take any responsibility for not providing a guard which would prevented such damage. I could have lost my brakes and or a fire started due to damage occurring.
I'm really let down by the appearance of the new Accord 2024. It appears bulky, less attractive, and lacks the sleek style of the 2021 model. I was anticipating something even more impressive this year, but instead, it seems like they've opted for a bulky, unappealing design reminiscent of a cheap plastic soap holder with a heavy price tag. I am extremely disappointed...!
Looks are subjective. I love the new design inside and out. Honda knows that at this time the concept of less is more is very popular. From uncluttered new homes to the Tesla design concept, this was a smart move.
Drove this car for a month and test drove additional 2024’s - Honda inexplicably fell completely asleep at the wheel on this car! An EX model has a small, entry level entertainment screen, no wireless charging, no Sport mode, lackluster handling (IMO), no leather wrapped steering wheel, no satellite radio, no leatherette seats, no rear charging ports, hideous styling, etc. - Awful! All I can say is WTF Honda?!
Its definitely not an ugly exterior. Its just way too boring and bland. Kinda like a Taurus feom yesteryear. 🤷 Plus the demose of the J35 V6. This car is destined to fail unfortunately

They made the passenger seat terrible for older people.
I wish there was something in the back for passengers like rear ac vents at least but it's not offered because it's keep the cost down.
